Looks like some old Half-Life game or something. I like it.
Was fun to play!
I do not know why, but Windows build have huge fps drops - felt like playing in 15fps most of the time. Finished it anyway in few seconds below 3min. Afrer finishing the game restart button has not worked properly - I could not see the cursor and could not start new game, and the timer did not reset as well.
@chillertyp @maxime-declerck thank you!
@gucio-miszcz Thank you by your feedback, yes, I need to fix the restart button, is not valid only loading again the scene (I don't know why :face_palm: ) and about the fps... I tested it with my nVidia 1080 TI, sorry :(
By the way, below 3 min is too fast, congratulations!
In spite of the frame rate drops, I love the feeling of watching the huge detailed mechanic block rising to the sky. It reminded me of the movie *The Maze Runner*. I also felt great sense of achievement when I finally reach the tower and complete the game. (I spent about 8 minutes I think?)
Loved how this game looked and felt! And the maze was really well made as well. Would love to have seen some extra mechanics are to expand upon it, but obviously a limit for what you can do in a jam! Good contributions!
I had this same game concept in mind when participating in the jam)
Sounds are good here and the labyrinth system is fine, but the game itself looks too monotonous-grey( Maybe if these blocks were different colors would be better?
Also, I think that it would be cool if there were some puzzles to solve on the level or something else except running (e.g. jumping on platforms?).
Animations are really cool I must say. When I saw these animations I just wondered "What a talented team", sheesh. Really nice job here.
A fun experience :) I found out that you can run through walls if you run diagonally though, so I may have cheated my way to the end :P I loved the general style and atmosphere and the running animation was really neat! Great work!
I really liked the models in this game! The way the doors opened and closed was a super cool animation. Also had fun making my way through this maze. Keep up the good work!
It took me a while to work out I was meant to click the start text at the beginning to continue, I cannot do so after the game restarts either because the cursor stays locked btw.
I must have missed something or encountered a bug, but I walked through the maze and then went into the final tower and then that was the end of the game - I didn't need to visit the other rising platforms.
I also didn't fully understand what was being observed every ten seconds either.
Overall, the game looks amazing, I absolutely love the vibe it gives off, very old skool PC + ratchet and clank almost - totally my thing. The music was also really vibey.
Loved the idea that the main menu to start was on the player's arm and part of the world, very cool! This has really impressive 3D graphics, is it an endlessly generated maze?
If you're looking for suggestions to take the game further, a sensitivity slider for the mouse would be really great. Nice job!
@moebiusmeow thank you! I'm glad you like it! Sorry by the fps... We did not have much time to fix it... We have created the game thinking in a game between 5 and 10 minutes (without speed run), not a bad time mark. (I have to see that movie)
@hansj Thank you! Yes, maybe will be reworked the game with more mechanics and with a better story.
@nick-gozak Thank you too for your feedback! We have not much time to do a textures and we have using the same textures all the time, for a future version will have more different places and mechanics of course!
@rowdy3 Yes, we know that collision bug, I thought no one would notice in a jam video game! :face_palm:, thank you for playing it!
@unprecedented Thank you so much!
@sammot Thank you! maybe I should have put a frame on the start button too, about the other platforms to visit, yes, we didn't have time to implement more things, about every 10 seconds, you can check every 10 seconds will stand up the maze and at the final of the game you can find out why this happens. (Maybe need more hints in game?)
@mhorth Thank you! We try to have a integral experience without much UI, only the chronometer to check your mark and the every 10 seconds events. the maze is not endless! look that big tower at the final, you may find the end there.
got to find the culprit that was causing the strange activities! Overall I think its a pretty nice maze though I did suffer from having my fps jump a lot due to my GPU being in the lower-mid end
I liked it, I was sort of trying to figure out what was happening the first time and somehow managed to glitch and fall through the world near a door hehe. But second playthrough I managed to get to the end... I like the cause of the issue lol :) There might be an issue pausing before hitting start with the mouse cursor disappearing I managed to work around it but it is probably a cursor focus or hide call where it's not expected (pausing before starting). Good fun, and a solid entry! :)
Excellent aproach to the theme! Love the visuals and the concept, despite that performance issue!
Stunning sounds effects, very suitable for the setting and atmosphere!
Brought back memories of the movie "The Cube"
I didn“t manage to get to the end because I am an IDIOOOooot!!
Interesting mechanics! I liked the system of closing of the door before rotating a segment. I was a bit confused at first about the objective so I just ran around aimlessly. But then I realized it must be the mountain/tree symbol in the middle (actually a skyscraper or something? control center?). Anyway, I got in. I also liked the perpetuum mobile at the end, a nice physical device changes the state of the maze instead of a virtual timer. Much better use of 10 seconds than my game (you played it on your stream, backrooms break).

speed.png I think my PC was causing problems as it kinda lagged a lot when looking at certain places but I had fun running around trying to get to the end. I did a cheeky little speedrun too.
