I love how this is like a regular tower defense game, except everything is open. You can put turrets wherever you want, the thing you're protecting moves around, and you have to walk around to get stuff... Very unique and addicting! And the graphics are super cute too. If I had one tip it would be to make it more obvious what is iron vs what is just stone.
It's really nice to see more and more games made with Godot! This one is quite interesting! If you had more time, you could definitely add several visual/audio feedback cues. I myself made a game of similar genre, in which you have to nurse and protect an alien pet, but mine was a bit different. This game has great potential! Keep it up! o/

I really like the idea of open tower defense. This is also a very solid use of the theme. It would be nice if enemies didn't appear immediatly because the thing your protecting gets surrounded before you're able to place down the tower.
Sad that I can't vote for graphics, they are really nice :)
That yellowish creature, he sure does like to roam... A cool idea, and I like the single-colored enemy sprites. Stylish. Reserved. C'est magnifique. I guess maybe you got them from somewhere, since you disabled the Graphics rating?

I really like the nonlinearity, both in tower placement and resource collection. A bit more distinction between enemies and your towers would be cool though... but I'm not super sure how you could do that! :P
I like the simple mechanics of the game and the graphics are cool. Towers end up disappearing when there are many enemies around. Could use simple sounds when the yellow thingy is getting hurt or when an enemy dies. Overall, cool game!
Cool idea. I wish there were a way to always see where the yellow guy was (maybe an arrow when offscreen?). Also, did you mean for a legit strategy to be to try to contain the yellow guy with turrets? Surrounding him with a bunch of turrets seemed to keep him in the area, which made it easier for me for a while (eventually there were just too many enemies, but that's expected with these kinds of games). I had a lot of fun playing it, a nice twist on a well-known genre.

Ahhh those simple pixel art makes me go YES! At one point , I had to many enemies to handle! Blocking the yellow bob is the best way to play this game! Greato Jobu!

Interesting game! Very challenging, though. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/NFvpzo131Hc

Nice entry, I bet there is some mandalorian inspiration behind the main character ;) The gameplay is simple but well made. Congrats!
Nice color pallete and overall graphics! Enemies are too tought - a bit of balancing and gameplay would be very addictive. Good job!
cool pixels, but i lose immediately every time
I thought it was a really good game and decently well balanced. Once you worked out that the resources you were pressing space on were actually being harvested (could do with some particles or something to make that more obvious) the gameplay loop was pretty sweet and simple.
First, good to see Godot games!!! There is a lot to like about this game, and I would love to see where you can take it with a couple of days more of focused dev.

Nice idea to have to protect an NPC that just walks around, it makes things unpredictable. You get swarmed a bit at the beginning but once you upgrade a few turrets you're good. Having to go gather resources adds good challenge!
Cool game :) Nice pixel-art and mechanisms,good prototype !
