Fantastic music! Shooting feels satisfying as it has a stopping power and a nice cling on hit.
However I found the game design to be frostrating - Enemies are fast, can tank hits for days, have long detection range and tend to swarm, while your guy is slow and sluggish and have a weapon that overheats very quickly. The maps are also too large for how slow you traverse them, backtracking can be a pain.
I think that with only a few variable changes you'd have a very solid and fun game in your hands!
The enemies are unfair, it's very disheartning getting whacked by a bat zipping at you from outside your screen less than ten seconds in..
The graphics and colours are very nice!
Remarkable work, tenfolds so for a single person!
Fantastic game all around! using UP to jump and also to trigger an alt fire caused me to jump into a blazing hell by mistake many times
Character is moving super fast for some reason which makes it very hard to navigate the ship. Game seems very intetesting but it's not playble for me at the moment
Superb use of integrating mechanics
Took me a while to figure out the movement and (despite the name) that there are shooting mechanics. Once it clicked the movement seemed pretty natural and organic, and the shooting was very satisfying with a big impact.
Nice enemy verity but I wish there were powerups for the shrimp.
As far as theme goes I think some inwards motion and fade for the background assets could imitate the feeling of constantly diving deeper.
Super unique mechanic and a great take on theme! Fun game
Nice puzzle game with great pixel art! took me a moment to get the mechanics, they worked really well once I figured them out.
Really really good and refined! though easy to solve at the moment. If you continue to work on it it could definitely sell 5/5 played to completion
Very lovely! Wish I had more patience for mechnics like these since the presentation and theme are top notch.
Beautiful Graphics with a very unique style. game itself is interesting and could be really great if you improve the controls, they're jaggy and clash badly with the building mechanic (like, you can get stuck between tiny block gaps and when you finally manage to jump you somehow land on another gap. It should be more streamlined to be enjoyable)
It's a great concpet and it really surprised me to see how little attention it got.
Smooth and satisfying, you made a great call by making the levels quick and short. it keeps the charging mechanic fresh.
great art and funky music. Fun game!
Great game with a very unique concept, you created a lovely world!
I really enjoyed it and it's a very refined complete experience. Game is a hectic fun! I don't think I'm doing very well but I don't mind!
Everything about this game is great except the fact that the gameplay can get frustrating very fast. It's more of a threading the needle type puzzle game masquerading as a plarformer. My mind is telling me this is a type of game I'm well familiar with, yet minor drops outright kills the character. I think maybe it needs to have more checkpoints (maybe as part of an easy mode) It's a good thing you added a skip level feature for this build.
Also, the heystack should be more obvious, it seems like a part of the background like the windows and the work tools.
Anyways I think I'm coming off as a bit harsh because of how much this title impressed me, you guys absolutly nailed the Gameboy aesthetics, sound (which was fantastic on its own), and the design philosophy. The fact that you actually released a Gameboy build is the cherry on top.
This is really great, bravo!
Lovely game with great art! I got 7 forms but could understand how to keep the hound from escaping. Not all the icons are easy to figure out. I understand this is intentional but it can get frustrating.
This is really cool and filled with atmosphere. It's good that you added a cutscene skip key but it should have said it somewhere in game and not just in the manual.
Great job!
When a turtle got hit m heart broke
Lovely art and sounds The waves are hard to reach given the nature of the game and they're very destructive. I think a timer and/or pointers for their spawning points would really help.
planting trees and guardians is fun for a mechanic. this game has a lot of growth potential
Really cool game, big fan of FTL! I think the game needs more information indicators like maybe a countdown for the next wave and the influence of the crewmates on the room they're occupying. Game gets brutal pretty fast and doesn't really leave room for experimentation with different upgrades routes.
Good stuff, I'd like to see more games like this
Great art! gameplay is fun. you delievered a great short experience.
I think that the drop mechanic is a bit harsh but it wasn't a dealbreaker for me, I assume it's to give the game an electric maze twist.
I liked the burning leaves mechanics and I'd hope to see more uses for the flame should you choose to continue to work on it. Good game!
Love the art style and love the concept! Nice take on the theme.
Beautiful game with lovely sound. The animation is great and the idea is very unique but confusing. It's hard to figure out the interaction and to understand what reacts to what.
Your pixel art and animation is top notch!
Good game, I like the text adventure / resource management mix. I found the font to be too busy for the textbox and makes for an unpleasent read. I think something simpler would work better and the font you used could fir better for the UI The art is very nice, and the world building and writing is fun.
Nice take on match 3, took me a while to realise it is a match 3 because there are no chain reaction animatin yet. Could get really interesting if you push it further
Obviously not done yet, but there's a fantastic basis here. Aside from waves and scoring, the game could really use power ups and maybe a way to regenerate some of the pizza.
Lovely graphics and animation!
Very pretty, and interesting idea. The combt portion is a bit dull and can take a while.
Gameplay is a bit bare but everything else is real good. Great concept!
Lacking some gameplay elements to make it fun, Hungry Whale seems to actually deal with the futility of the situation. Which I think is a really good design choice. The cutesy graphics and music work for you, it's not an easy feat considering the topic.
A little more time in the over would make this into a powerful little game. Good work
The game needs better UI, there's a lot of information thrown at you, and a giant timer at the bottom. Green across the board does little to help realising what's what in the game.
The concept itself is super cool! I don't think I've seen something quite like it. Watching the planets morph is really something.
Great work
I don't know if it's a bug but I my mouse controls were limited. I couldn't do a full circle or fully look up and down. Played the web build
It was very fun nonetheless. The grappling more than the shooting.Good stuff
Edit - Windows build worked just fine
Cool concept and lovely graphics, love the cargo ships design. Could probably turn out really great with some more time in development.
At the moment it's a bit easy, supply ships seem infinite and there's little reason to rush or hold ships at stand by. It seemed to me you're laying the ground for some tower defence elements. I think it's a great idea to use it as a subgenre in the game. I'd like to see this game going forward and evolve.
Beautiful graphics and a communicative build UI, but I didn't really get the mechanics. what's the purpose of the different buildings? Is there any meaning to where I should place them?
There's a great potential here!
Really cool idea! The first level should probably be shorter or just skip it and start from the 2nd level. A level select screen would be a great addition, also maybe a maximum score bar for completionists.
Great work!
Beautiful! Very Impressive for such a short time

Parcel Panic by PKZinpo 2021-10-14T12:50:33Z ♥ 1
Pretty art and lovely colours. The game is very hard and unforgiving - the timers are quick, the buildings marking don't pop and the roads are a bit too slim for the the characters size and speed.
I think slowing the game down and maybe reducing the character size would improve the game.
Music and sounds are gentle and lovely, work well with the game.
All that said - very impressive work for one person in two days!
Cat Connect by Zhanna 2021-10-14T12:38:13Z ♥ 3
Cool concept and nice graphics! Level design could use some work, the cat doesn't fit the levels very much. I also hoped that the power line would act like a grappling hook and expand your movement while you carry it. Music is nice but the loop is very short so it becomes intrusive pretty fast
The binari particles were a cool touch!
Hexworld by icxon 2021-10-12T10:03:03Z ♥ 1
Super cool game that I'm sure could get more refined with more time invested. Readability is a bit off but the game is playable, beatable, and very fun.
unique concepts that worked togheter well!
MENDEL'S DRAGONS by YouK 2021-10-10T12:42:27Z ♥ 1
Very cool concept but I felt the economy is very unforgiving and doesn't leave room or time to experiment. The dragons sell for very little and time moves fast so its hard to bounce back once money is law .
Maybe its a life simulator
Crazy Cauldron by Quite Good 2021-10-07T14:05:17Z ♥ 1
Lovely art and surprisingly complex mechanics!
Grabanakki by Saturnyoshi 2021-10-07T13:13:16Z ♥ 2
Lovely, super refined game! The little animation at the end of the level is buttery smooth
Lunar Grid by ranseur 2021-10-07T10:38:33Z ♥ 3
Really good entry! Slick graphics and a unique take on what seems like a familiar gameplay at first.

5s across the board!
Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-05T11:19:50Z ♥ 2
Fun once you get the hang of it! I got stuck at the level with a single table a giant leap, couldn't figure out how to get enough momentum. Also didn't really understand the slam mechanic.
The FPS punching concept is always fun to see
Babel by Gaming Night 2021-10-05T11:00:40Z ♥ 1
Fun and strategic! Camera controls are a nit janky and I found it easier to just stick to the original pov. The random sounds are jarring but I get that they're supposed to accompany the random array of items.
I liked the difficulty curve - Once I kinda figured how to balance the small tetris blocks the game threw a couch at me :)
