Wow, this is a really cool concept! Was confused at how the theme was incorporated at first, but once I figured out the split, this is for sure one of my favorite implementations of it! Only criticism I can really give is that it's a really short game play, but I feel that's kinda unfair for a more demo/ proof of concept. I love it!
One "bug" I did find that kinda made me sad, was that I seemed to not be able to rewind time a second time after fully rewinding time.
Pretty great idea. I wish it was longer but I understand how hard it can be to make levels as well as polish and stuff! I would def play the full game, loved the graphic effects.

This is such a different way of thinking about the "deeper" theme and I love it. Would've loved more than 1 level, but hey, 48 hours is 48 hours.

@Turkey Thank you, I was really excited to work on this idea once it came up - so I'm really glad if people say they like my implementation of the theme! I'm not sure if you'll see this, but I'd love to know if the bug occured in WebGL or PC, WebGL seems to really ont like my rewind system
@jetthesimon Yup, there were a few unexpected hurdles today, I've never experimented with this graphic style before and adapting a workflow took a while, so I'm glad you like it!
@lb01 Hopefully by tomorrow I'll really let this theme shine, there's alot more I wanted to do with the dolls, thank you!

Very clever interpretation of the theme. I'm a bit sad that there isn't more of it.

@nisovin The best thing I could hear at this point! there'll be more tomorrow, now that all the systems are in place, constructing the stages is rather easy~♪
Can only agree with many others that I just wish there was more of this game which is hardly a criticism given how good it is for 48 hours work, the mechanics are so clean and straightforward and there feels like a lot of space left to explore (for instance I was hoping there would be a puzzle that required you to push your larger selves around).

rewind stops working after a while
First time i got stuck because the time thing were not working. But then i restarted and got to work. Hey cool idea! <3

There were plenty of "time-split" games last Jam, yet yours is still interesting and fresh enough to have caught my attention. I really dig the graphic style you went for and would see potential in exploring where you could go with this further gameplaywise! Fantastic job!

@msipp Rewinding has been 100% fixed for the 72-hour version! a framerate issue with the WebGL version caused that
@mockthebear Thank you!!~
@trexxak This is actually my first Ludum Dare, so I wouldn't know, but thank you so much for the compliments!! I've added quite a bit for the 72-hour version, and would love to know what you think of it now!

Aww, no thank you! And Welcome to Ludum Dare, of course!
So, the new stuff is very promising! I started grinning for every new screen, especially during the level introducing water. Amazing how much great ideas you crammed into the 72 hour version! o:

@trexxak And now I'm the one grinning, reading responses like this makes for half of the Jam experience for me!~♪ Yeah, for the third day I had most of the basic mechanics ready and could mess around with the level design, I'm really glad you liked it!
This is a fun game! A lot of fresh ideas that were executed well. Great work dude.

@backwardscap Much appriciated, thank you!~♪

I was hoping for the rewinding to be useful outside of fixing mistakes, but it's still fun anyway.

@duncan-3 I did consider adding some Braid-like mechanics that would make rewinding an actual part of the puzzles, but that was unfortunatly outside the scope of a solo-project like this, I'm glad you still enjoyed it though! thank you!

Such a great game. Some small things that bugged me a little were the slippery movement and that the rewind is so slow. But otherwise I just love this game ^^
Well, you certainly did what you wanted to do there! It's actually pretty unique to do those goals. You ended up making a surefire way to stand out!
Plus, how you managed to make the stages feels like you could definitely go ham should you be given the time. I say make it a full game, or a mechanic you could use in another!
The only gripe I have with this game really is really related to the time rewind mechanic: * Literally, double or triple rewind speed when you can. It really feels slow to rewind. * Because of this I was dreading for a restart button at that point.
I'm not sure if part of your plan is to stack the characters to get up or allow them to hop out of characters mid-air, making it a bit easier than expected. Either way, I think you could use that info for more "expert-related" levels.
Once again, well done! Especially for your first entry~

Very fun concept and cute little characters! The way the buttons slowly go down like there's air in them, love it! The water, the stacking, the size differences, all great puzzle mechanics. This idea could be expanded with more characters like an unfolding robot with platforms or kangaroos! The rewind feature works very well as a no stress do over, maybe a 5 and 30 sec rewind button could help speed things up. Would definitely see myself playing this for a few hours if fully fleshed out. Great job!
It is a very fun game! A reset feature could have help as i was stuck in some levels, i love how cute these guys look too. Great game!
We love love love the idea. It's so clever! Perhaps even worthy of a full game?
We encountered one (game breaking) bug in the first level with the light where after rewinding a couple of times we got stuck in rewind mode causing the game to pause indefinitely on death since we could no longer rewind.
Great work!
The concept is realy smart and plaisant. I passe da good moment thanks!
Very fun game and super awesome concept! I loved it. The doll dudes are hilarious and wonky to work with, loved them. The spotlight level is super challenging but very fun with the time turn mechanic. When my little guy finally made it in just in time, awesome. What a great feeling.
Definitely back up the creator's recommendation about downloading the .exe, the time rewind goes pretty slow in the HTML version.
Fantastic job! Thanks for stopping by our page and giving our game a go. Based on your comment we patched in restarting at the level so it's easier to experience more of the game. Thanks for the feedback!

Super unique mechanic and a great take on theme! Fun game
I relly like the idea for this game. Creative way to using a Matryoshka doll's designe and the rewinding really gives quite good vibe to this game. I was lacking the ability to change between the dolls tho. Overall great game. Well done!

I enjoyed playing this though I got stumped with the security cameras. haha I think heist music would really bring this game together. Thanks for sharing!
Great game, love the concept and the puzzle design, one of the few games I have played this jam that I actually wished was longer, Great job!
Idea is great, so different to everything else here

Cool idea and very nice level design!
The rewind mechanic was really cool. Overall fun game!
The rewinding of time was helpful so many times! Very impressive game. I was very glad that the smallest doll could swim and get out of the water again. And no one died from drowning.
I spent way too much time trying to get the Russian dolls centered onto the red blocks. Maybe that is something that you can try to fix for perfectionists out there.
Overall a very enjoyable little game. Cudos.
