When I started, I thought the game was way to easy...but as your city grows it get interesting as you don't have the money and have to hope your buildings will survive. Great entry!

Genuinely fun. Nice graphics and the UI all feels great for a short game. A mute button would have been appreciated.

Great game, but the blood volume doesn't match the earthquake game. Would it be difficult to play with a physics engine, but will it be more powerful?

Good game

This is great!

I love the fact you even have some kind of progression with the science.

It fits the theme perfectly. I like how the buildings have different patterns on them. It's a nice detail. I'm a bit confused how to increase the maximum number of banks though.

This game was fun, I took the time to play it and get all upgrades and have placed almost every buildings.

Then I wanted to break the game: -You can click several times on the "next month" button so it could run several earthquakes at the same time. -When I want to destroy a building it was destorying the one in the middle? (maybe an issue with the selection) -The health bar goes on top of the buildings so it was hard to see the amount to repair sometimes.

That is a great game. I mean it's got everything: it looks good, has some nice animation, a tutorial (!), nicely balanced gameplay, it fits the theme... it's great. I mean... I've spent the last hour playing it. Not every game I paid money for survived that long

The soundtrack could use some help, but c'mon it's still a very solid game

Love it  Here's my monstrosity of a city I built EarthquakeCityBuilder.png

I managed to survive into a state with population 540, where I withstand any earthquake. Love the boxy graphics. The UI and controls are sometimes suboptimal but it can be fixed. I'd make the healthbars smaller. The game is very nice to continue investing into :) It is also definitely a game I've played the longest so far, congratz :)

This game is fun and I love the earthquake effect and the cute building!

It's a cool game, however balancing is utterly broken. The villa by far is the best building, as it comes with a lot of stability (which is the most important) and still has twice the amount of money production as the normal house with 1.5 space cost.

Basically you can cheese the whole game super easil by building normal houses in all 4 coreners in the map until you can afford the first villas (this will at least keep 1 of them nearly each round complete) and then just build villas. YOu need to research the last upgrade first and then progressively all structure updates - as earthquakes shift anyways every round, both the magnitude and position is nice to know but only cost research points.

The bank with a +10% gain in money, but weak structure, costs too much to repair and the universit yis rathe rpointless, as after about 30 round sther eis nothing left to research.

Tha tbeing said it's a lovely idea and I enjoyed the whole game. Howeve rI'd rather like to have science calculate don overall inhabitants and rebalance the villas down to less inhabitants and the big (instable blocks) to a lot more inhabitants. THer ealso should be a way to spend mor escience later on.

I understand that it's a quickly developed gamejam game, and that everybody has to do as much as time allows, but if you consider further developing this, the feedback mainly helps.

You seem to have opted out from the audio ratings but I wanted to make sure I mentioned how much I enjoyed the explosion sound when a building crumbles down. :) Fun little title! Thanks for putting this together!

I can only say MASTER PIECE, awesome game, no words seriously. This I do not expect to see here, this I hope to see in the switch. Congratulations seriously <3

The game looks absolutely great and I really enjoyed having a well done tutorial. Maybe try to balance the game a bit better. The upgrade to automatically regenerate your buildings is way to powerful and I nearly never had to repair any buildings myself. Also the "weak" buildings are strong enough to withstand the earthquakes easily with this upgrade so you can just place them everywhere and get cheap new money and population.

Still a fun gam though. Well done :thumbsup_tone2:

PS: If you press 'esc' in the WebGL Build the application crashes.

Not gonna lie, when I opened the game, I had to re-check whether this is really compo. It looks so polished, very impressive what you managed to achieve in 48h!

Very nice game all around, I really like earthquake effect. I would love to see buildings shaking with the ground, it probably will look even more epic. Balance seems to be on the easy side, probably need some tweaks for the post-compo, but works perfectly as-is for a quick play. Well done!

Great little game ! Very well done. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the music, but the rest is so polished it's not a problem. Also, I found a little bug : if you're using the repair tool, clicking on a fully repaired building still cost money, at the end of the game I wanted to just have a good looking screenshot with every building repaired and I just randomly moved the mouse while spamming left click until I realized that this was wasting most of my money ! Not a big issue but still a bit annoying, would have loved a "repair all" button for this situation.

majadroid 2021-10-09 08:31

What a nice little city builder game. I played this longer than any other LD49 game so far. It's a great work, especially for a compo game. The music was a bit annoying, but the rest of the game was a lot of fun!

javicoder 2021-10-12 20:46

I loved it, it plays very well. It's quite fun, and it has great graphics and design.

A small annoyance is the upgrade window that appears fixed on the right, it does not allow you to select the buildings that covers. I think science ends too soon, it should cost more, and the autorepair upgrade makes the game too easy to play. awesome for a gamejam, very well done. Captura.JPG

Amazing job! I can't believe you did all of this in such a short time. The scope is huge and it's so polished. I liked the management of resources and seemingly interesting choices. The research does have a big impact on your understanding of the game and mechanics and changes the way you play which is really cool. As you know it's a little bit on the easy side. It might give a sense of completion if there was a win condition like filling 90% of the land or a population target.

flying-dog-fish 2021-10-16 12:17

Great game! I built a city with 3450 residents. The game looks gorgeous, like a modern version of SimCity. Sounds effects are nice but the music gets a bit annoying after a while. Health bars are well done, but the repair bars are a bit too big, it's hard to see the buildings under them and click the right one.

I found one bug: when demolishing houses the house under the yes button gets demolished instead of the one you click on. Fortunately, if there is no house under the yes button, the right house gets demolished.

coolestdoggie 2021-10-20 19:27

Great work! I like it soo much! Thanks for the experience!!

Hey! I think experienced players have noticed that there are a lot of different new casinos on the network now. It is not entirely clear which of them are worth paying attention to, so I want to share with you one article https://grykasyno.biz/boo/ in which you can read an overview of one of the new platforms. Here, experienced experts gave all the general information and also explained how you can quickly register and, of course, get their interesting welcome bonus.
