Nice job it was a fun little time and creative take on the theme! Did you use Godot that progress bar looks very familiar lol?

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't use Godot, just javascript/webgl. The progress bar is rendered as two different colored rectangles.
0/10 Dinosaurs cant walk on water!! (Joking of course)
The dinosaur sprite is adorable and I love it.
Complaints: I wish it had some music or something, also feels kinda to slow paced and dull early. I'd increase everything, movespeed/animtime, slight spawn times and maybe lower the curve slightly.
Really great work I dig a lot.
I thought the movement was great, rotating the planet and space instead of having the player rotate around the planet. The asteroid size variation is good and having the indicator for incoming asteroids is awesome. I also found that if you keep moving one direction but tap the key for the opposite direction you can do a moon walk!
No!My Planet
A fun little game! I like the silly concept of a dinosaur headbutting asteroids. I also like how hectic it gets towards the end with so many asteroids raining down; it really does feel hopeless. I like the idea of deflecting asteroids into each other to regain health, although it didn't seem to come up much. Overall, a small but solid game. Nice work!
The gadget looks like a lot of fun, and while we've seen a lot of games like this, the theme is definitely fun and very relaxing to use
Was a fun little game. My highscore was something around 170.
I really like the walking sounds. At first I thought the game was easy, but then more and more astroids appeared and I gave up :spy:
This was a really nice implementation of this concept! I made a meteor attack game too for compo (set in a city) and wish I had the time to add those little green arrows to show where the meteor was coming from...a very helpful addition.
Graphics are cute and well done, the variation of meteor sizes, speeds, and damage was great (something I also didn't have time to put into my game)...and I managed to last 171 seconds :)
Well done!
Cute idea! Unique concept! The scaling difficulty with more asteroids was a nice touch!
The dinosaur is really cute! Nice and quite addictive game. The gameplay feels smooth. I really liked the sound effects. I found a bug, that cause the dino to disappear. The game still registers it, but the graphic is missing. Besides that, awesome job with the game. I got 145 seconds.
Me at the beginning: I'm not sure this is actually inevitable, I'm on top of this situation Me at the end: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH (runs nonstop in one direction hammering jump until it ends)
I did get some asteroids to cross-collide which was very satisfying. A few basic sounds effects really would have taken that feeling to another level.
(EDIT OMG There were sounds! I just had to click to activate them. Suggest you default them to ON in the future! People do not read text in LD games, from my experience. Went back and played again when I realized my mistake, the sounds are good and add a lot)
I liked the way you did the camera, where the world rotates around the player. I have experimented with cameras in that style before and it can be tricky to prevent it from becoming motion-sickness-land. I think it was wise to keep the background starfield still while rotating the world, even if that technically doesn't make sense. It would have been pretty distracting if you did that the realistic way.
Is this your first LD entry? Either way, nice work!
A very unexpected take on the theme and pretty fun to play for a while!
I'd only suggest the difficulty to increase slower: in the first minute it's really ease and than just in a matter of seconds you get bombarded by the amount of asteroids you can't handle. Difficulty is pretty hard to figure out in such a short time, so great job anyways!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game, here's a recording https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
@pkenney Thank you for your comment. Yes, this was my first entry ever. Can't wait for the next one!
Really nicely put together overall, movement is fast enough to keep things feeling fun and manageable but slow enough to punish you a bit for not keeping on top of things. I thought the difficulty increase was well paced as well, started off feeling confident I could keep going for ages then gradually it dawned on me more and more that it was just a case of delaying the inevitable!
Well done, always a sucker for a dinosaur theme as well!
Are you satisfied with the result? If so, that's what matters! :D
Nice dude, fun little game.
Nice game. My high score was 197.272. It starts out sort of slow, but really picks up once you hit 100 seconds.
Fun little arcade game
Great little game. I get the point of it picking up in difficulty so the inevitable happens, but I feel it happens a little too quickly.
