I love the setup of this game. Graphics are A+, really well done! Certainly does lack sfx which would help, I can almost hear them ... Really well done, thanks for submitting.

Really cool game. Graphics are great and the mechanics are really interesting. I wish there was more feedback when you shoot since sometimes the animation doesn't play. the music for some reason doesn't work for me
Great game, I especially love the graphics.
Very well made game! The graphics are really well done, and I like the concept a lot. Despite it looking fantastic, it just lacks that final polish to bring it all the way home. Shots feel a little unresponsive because I can't tell when the shooting happens, due to the chaotic nature of the game and a lack of SFX. It also gets stale eventually since there's really only one enemy and every fight is a repeat of the last (as far as I could tell, there was no indicators for otherwise). I think if more enemies were added, a tiny bit of macro like a shop or powerups and some sound design this would be a game I'd happily buy
This was so cool! I love the graphics and the overall cheeky aesthetic. It is definitely missing some sound though.
@recessive Thanks! Everything you've said, including a shot/powerups was on the list, but that time limit bit me haha. Also, there's actually 6 different enemy types! They all have different personalities too! Some shoot more frequently, some fumble and get stunned more frequently, etc. But there's no visual indicator of that, like different appearances :slight_frown:
okay so first of all the concept of drunk cowboys shooting at each other is awesome. I love everything about that. Second of all your art is really really pretty. The animations are all super smooth and the game just looks really good. As for the actual gameplay, I thought it was interesting. I think in the future, if you decide to develop this game further, you should seriously consider multiplayer. I could really see this game as a popular game people play with their friends. I can easily imagine a couple people playing this together and talking in cowboy voices going "Ima shoot ya" and "Nahh, yer as lousy a shot as I am" and laughing like crazy. Overall, really enjoyable experience.
Amazing looking game (as always) with a pretty good concept. With some sound and polish, this could be a fun little party game. Overall, I liked the concept and execution of it, but the lack of audio really makes it harder to get feedbacks when shooting. Also the enemy felt a bit easy, maybe making it a bit harder would improve overall experience. Keep up the good work <3
Great And Very Hard Game You Have To Do Soo Many Things At Once But Its A Really Cool Game
@circle I could see it play as a little party game, maybe something worth considering! Thanks!
Hey Cinder! Thanks again for playing my game yesterday! Here it goes a non-short feedback for yours. I hope it will be useful!
- The pixel art is marvelous! The animation of the characters really sell the "drunken shooters" :) - Maybe you could go "Into the breach" direction here. Wild west themed :) - The GUI is a delight! I really like how you nailed the theme into it, and made it so clear. It's obvious and I hardly need the tutorial to see what I need to do. The only thing that got in the way was the whiskey color. I think my monitor put it and the background color really close. - I really liked that the balancing thing was moving the aim. That added to the deep of the game and it became an interesting strategy to avoid get shoot. Though I was not sure Bob was doing the same  - The tutorial was long. On the first play, I was not presented with any element of the UI and I was trying to get what I was reading plus what I was looking at (also the tutorial didn't mention that you can move the character with A and D). The problem went away after I had a first chance to go through what each element does on the first play. Also, I realized I could play the game during the tutorial only on the second time :) Even though was written, the overlay and text in the middle doesn't communicate the possibility. - I think the whisky is your life? It was not very clear for me on the first run why it was ending because the sentence "life essence" could mean just that yer old cowboy loves it. And because... - I never knew when I hit the enemy, nor when the enemy hit me. The visual feedback was little apart from the life (or hard to see whisky) going down. I think I missed the same detail on my game, completing the action the game most cares about should be really rewarding. I was craving some bloodshed ;P. - The enemy was getting stunned and I was like "was my hit? Is the AI making mistakes as well?" and sometimes they spent most of their time stunned haha It was interesting to watch. - The stunning is a mechanic that was not making me worry much given I could not really grasp when I was getting shot or not. Also, it took me a while to accept that the reload was getting me stunned, it takes a while to stun me after the bullet goes to the top, and the time I was spending looking at made me miss the quick stun :)
Neat game! The game is really pretty and cute!
The concept is really cool but I think it horribly lacks sounds or just feedback in fact. It's so difficult to know you are doing something right or if you get hit. There is no way to really appreciate what you are doing in the game. The issue is quite big, but the game is still playable and enjoyable. The mechanics are well implemented and the ideas in there is well balanced. It's not too hard nor too easy, it's perfect!
Great entry!
@debone a lot of what you pointed out was due to time crunch haha.
I think during the post mortem of my game, i really made a point that for future jams, i will certainly certainly leave a lot more room for polish in the end. More feedback, as well as sounds (I had them all ready to be implemented, but just ran out of time), as well as getting those animation bugs figured out (I have them fixed actually, I just don't want to upload those fixes because it's not in the spirit of the jam, even though the rules technically allow me to.
Thanks for your very in depth feedback! It means a lot!
For your second Ludum dare this looks pretty great! It's nice that you made time to include an options menu and a tutorial which add polish to the game. The only thing that seemed off to me was there was no audio for me while I played the HTML version of the game with my Edge Browser on Windows 10.
Cool graphics, but the game just lacks some music. A simple free soundtrack would greatly improve the perception of the game :)
Beautiful art! The gameplay is seems complex at first glance, but it's surprisingly intuitive to play. There's a lot going on at a time though, I think some sound effects would help with that. In a way, this feels kind of like a card game in real time :P I love that fog effect!
Great game! Some really smart ideas that fit the theme put in a really well thought-through setting!
Really like graphics and animations too! It's really fun for the most part but when you play it for long enough it gets a little boring. It's really just a potential for it to become a full fledged game with varied enemies or something else. Great job!
I played it and recorded it during my stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. And your's is on the list. I hope it will still be helpful  https://youtu.be/KdS9PsTVR1o Your game starts at 19:11
Great concept! Audio/sound effects would have really helped with the mood and with player feedback, but the art is spectacular. Very interesting mechanic. If you keep working on the game, I'd try to introduce the mechanics in pieces because it's a bit much to grasp at first, but maybe some of that would be helped with audio feedback helping me understand that I was playing correctly. Overall great idea and I can see a lot of potential here as a fully polished game! Great job!
A fun game. Only I could not figure it out, the space bar and "R" did not work in the browser :(
@bzik oh no :( I haven't heard of anyone encounter that. So I have no idea what might be causing it
@pixelydian yeah im kicking myself for not having any time left for music and sfx. Some animations are also screwed up, but its not in the spirit of the jam to fix them and update the game. In hindsight there's a lot I'd do different, but thats how we learn :)
The art and animation here is incredible! You should be really proud, it'd probably take me the whole weekend to make half of those sprites! Awesome job!
I think the game itself is neat, but without any feedback I found it really quite hard to play, and found it even harder to enjoy. There's so much going on at once, but none of it has that much clarity. Usually a jam game not having sound is okay, but this game particularly really could have done with a good set of sound effects to clarify what on earth is going on half the time haha
Other than that though, this was an awesome little game and I'd love to see more!
This was beautiful. Awesome artwork, great gameplay, sweet buttocks! Would have loved some western themed music and sfx on this. Very polished game, great job!
really polished graphics and nice concept.
So great work! I enjoyed it! It’s very good that you want to polish this game and make it perfect. I had the same problem with no audio while I played the HTML version of the game.
