I love the aesthetics and general minigame mechanics! The game is really polished for a Jam. I wish it has more time to fix the Synapse colector.

Really good Job.

theviraldragon 2021-10-04 05:18

The most fun game i've played so far. But the wave puzzle is too tough. Needed to have more time to fix that.

artem-ravbetsky 2021-10-04 14:12

Really nice and polished game. Love all the mechanics!

sorrer 2021-10-04 22:27

Love the graphics, and gameplay idea. Got a little bit confusing with the phases and what they actually mean, but otherwise was pretty fun to play!

pdotjpg 2021-10-04 22:29

I like the look and idea here. With some sound and more minigames, this could have a really cool, hectic feel to it. Turning off the generator once in a while is a great addition that can add to the chaos - so good idea there. As is, it was a bit repetitive, and I found synapse connector minigame a bit too slow and involved for the vibe you're going for. Still, nice prototype.

ddolgov 2021-10-04 23:45

@sorrer thanks for playing! The phases were supposed to make game harder - equipment breaks down more often, less time to solve puzzles, the electricity are turned off more often etc. Unfortunately, it's not, because i didn't balance it properly. The difficulty increases, but not enough.

tattomoosa 2021-10-04 23:46

Neat take, I liked the mini-games. The synapse connector was tough for me but only the very outer ring. Also if you jump sometimes you can keep jumping in the air.

ddolgov 2021-10-04 23:58

@pdotjpg thank you for playing and feedback! I agree with you about repetitive gameplay, the game gets boring quickly. I was afraid to do synapse connector too fast :)

caudatecoder 2021-10-06 17:10

I like the visuals and the unstable-ness of this game!

The radio-mini game was a bit unforgiving for my liking. I still enjoyed playing the game!

I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 52:31

Great entry!

It has "Among us" vibes, and somehow reminded me of "Half-Life" :) Sounds would ake it many times better, but nevertheless game is fun and entertaining.

Good work and good luck!

jackaljk 2021-10-07 20:15

Nice concept! I realize you explained the game in this page but I think that for jams it's sooo important to explain everything in game with interactive tutorials that introduce things one at a time. Please take the time to do it on your future entries, I truly believe it makes the difference! Maybe make one less mini-game or save time in some other way, but do save it. Anyway I had fun, well done!

anton-florey 2021-10-10 00:02

Love the pixel art and game idea. I think if these games were added to among us, the imposters would win all the time because of the games being almost impossible to complete  Especially the middle one feels very unfair. Sound would really improve this, since audio cues would help a lot in these minigames (like a rhythm for the synapse thingy).

ruthiepee 2021-10-11 18:17

Fun and hectic. Definitely impossible to play without reading the directions ahead of time so make sure you do that. I really like the idea of a single player time management game with Among Us minigame vibes. The synapse connector was my least favorite, it was a little too finicky and made my eyes hurt watching it spin. Some music that speeds up as you move through the phases would be the cherry on top, but I found it to have an interesting concept and fun gameplay anyway.

ddolgov 2021-10-11 21:30

@jackaljk totally agree with you, interactive tutorial should be in games like this. I was planning to add it (I even came up with scenario ), but miscalculated the time. My bad. Thank you very much for playing!

ddolgov 2021-10-11 21:50

@anton-florey thank you for playing) I like the idea of audio cues, it can be really helpful! `...because of the games being almost impossible to complete...` - do you have a 144hz monitor? I guess it can be bug, the game goes faster

caudatecoder 2021-10-11 22:54

@ddolgov привет :)

да, у меня моник 144гц, скорее всего это оно

arlwin 2021-10-13 12:32

It's super difficult especially around phase 5 (at least for me) but I still had fun!

ddolgov 2021-10-14 07:08

@arlwin thanks for playing!

ddolgov 2021-10-14 07:16

@ruthiepee thank you for playing and feedback! No one loves synapse connector  Music that speeds up through the phases is a good idea!

jonah-srg 2021-10-14 14:54

This is very cute, it nails the theme and the minigames to keep your ship alive are well considered. The pixel art is colorful and charming, the side-on view and machines are all clear and readable. The most challenging bit is threading the needle on the blue machine, but with some focus and a couple failed attempts I was able to reliably complete that one. The wavelengths machine was the least frequent in my playthrough, and I am not sure I was able to get the hang of it. That one reminds me of Genesis Noir, not sure if it's an inspiration but there's some similarity to a sequence of tuning machines in that game. The button presses on the right I was able to get pretty reliably. My only criticism is that it seems there are some periods of downtime after solving one or two machines, there might be some fine tuning to be done with the system that triggers the errors and making sure that there's not too much wait time in between. All in all, very well done!

zimny11 2021-10-16 18:26

In-description tutorial are completed fine in my opinion. No need to apologize :) I would love to see even more equipment and mini-puzzles, but I know - time limit. The game is quite hard, so I was unable to win, but I had fun nevertheless. The pixel art looks nice. What a shame there is not music. And the power was going out many times in a row, so I do not know if I was doing something wrong, but I did not like how often it was. Anyway, good job with the compo game!

nyxkn 2021-10-19 21:00

Really cute graphics! I liked the minigames. I found the drawings of the arrow keys a little hard to read. And the wave matching felt a little glitchy visually. I didn't like how the same machine would break immediately after repairing it, and it made me second-guess whether my work had succeeded or not. It's quite fun at first but gets repetitive very soon. This could have been a lot more immersive with some 8bit music!

ddolgov 2021-10-20 21:33

@jonah-srg @zimny11 @nyxkn thank you all very much for playing and your detailed feedback!
