Looks cool.
A pretty addictive game that can quietly eat up a lot of your time. I’ve always liked this type of gameplay. The items in the game are also really fun, but it’s a pity that there are only four slots, so sometimes you have to part with some things reluctantly.0240db7db79f379d9547c288cbe1b7b0.pngee3016d7e5e299d51bb6395e03a3031e.png
The only game I’ve seen at this jam that actually looks like a game from the 90s. 我在这个果酱上看到的唯一一场真正看起来像90年代的比赛。
Loved the art style and damn it got me hooked and i lost track of time. Only feedback i have is the items / mob ratio. Not sure if i were lucky with my generation but i got a lot of items in the beginning and then steamrolled everything.
Great work!
The concept of deliberately moving backward in time to become more powerful is incredibly creative. I love how the game encourages you to choose your own path of glorious, yet questionable, devolution. Great job on this one!
Good game. Some feedback: It would be helpful if you had a inventory and could salvage items. -J
@runningopenloop Thanks for the suggestion! That makes sense. I could add an extra bag for surplus items and let players sell them at certain special nodes.
The artstyle was great. I really like it and it js looks so good. The exploration is also nice and I like the systems for getting new powerups and stuff.
I did also steamroll everything after the 1st battle and I didn't really notice the burn path doing much for me? Js like Appox I don't know if I was lucky but the game felt too easy.
Still a great game overall!
Awesome game, congratulations! Starting with a plasma tank that barely scratches a rat is hilarious and nails the theme. I loved the dark pixel art, the tile map with its toxic fog, and the clear auto-battles. Really impressive, kudos to you both!
@thanatosisanoob Thanks for playing! Haha, I think I should add a difficulty option or increase the monsters’ HP without raising their attack. After tweaking the stats and playing it myself, I also felt like the monsters went down a bit too quickly, but I was worried about making it too hard lol.

The laser cannon dealing 1 damage is the perfect hook - instantly sells the "older = stronger" concept, and building a whole devolution progression system around it is a genuinely clever take on the theme. Gorgeous moody pixel art that actually feels like a lost 90s gem, and the adjacency-combo backpack is addictive. My only gripe: items felt generous early, so I steamrolled after the first couple fights and the burn path never got to shine - a difficulty option or beefier enemy HP would help. Great entry, congrats to you both!
There was nothing innovative, of course. And stuffing a bunch of text into the game for the jam is, in my opinion, the height of absurdity. It’s just an ordinary game, unfortunately. But the main thing is that you enjoy making it.
Great auto battler! I felt the balance was a bit off since ever since the first boss I one-shotted every enemy. Even the final boss. 😵 Or maybe I got lucky with the items or something.
I had a lot of fun with this one! It was pretty easy, I was able to grab a bunch of overpowered items and steamroll everything right up to the final boss, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Nice job!
This looks absolutely stunning! The game is a bit difficult for me, but I’ll chalk that up to the language barrier. I definitely love the atmosphere, the pixel art, and the way everything in it is put together.
