Lol had me cracking up playing this
Took me a full run before I understood that there was an actual goal but it was fun once I got it. This could be fun with a ton more items that are randomised each run, could be an interesting take on a rogue-like. Well done! Capture.PNG
This is such an original idea! But now I will have to get used to living in the city as a wild boar ;)
Once I knew what mushrooms did what I had a lot of fun trying to combo the backwards and maximize lynx time. The art for the mushrooms is charming and I do love browser games that feel like flash. Good stuff!
Nice game. Enjoyed a lot the part when you explore what each mushroom does :)
The idea is interesting and the effect of different mush rood is funny hahahaha
Really enjoyed this one. The art and music are top notch and I enjoyed getting to know the abilities of all the mushrooms. I even managed to get back to town without being transformed into something :) Great entry and impressive how much you managed to do.
Interesting concept and gameplay, but there aren't enough mushrooms and their abilities. It's hard to have a strategy, and at some point you have to eat every mushroom in a row.
I liked it. The boar reminds me of the boars in Asterix and Obelix.
Nice! I liked having to experiment on myself and reconsider all my life decisions when being a snail going backwards ! You're a bit harsh on yourself in the description, I found the visuals quite good, and consistent! Also impressive getting this result without using a game engine.
Good job!

Thank you very much for your feedback! I am particularly happy that you enjoyed exploring the effects of the mushrooms.
You got me @artificer: I used to make games from flash. And now that flash is dead, I didn’t learn a new web engine so I used reactJS and somehow tried to work like before. But the technical limitations were very frustrating when it came to creating mushroom effects.
@tiwe-me-ruu you are right. Initially I wanted to have 10 mushrooms and some of them appearing only near the end of the forest. Time got me... The correct use of the lynx shape is probably the only important tactical choice.
@Baluj this is indeed a copy of a boar from Astérix, the funniest looking boar there is : R.jpeg I didn't change it much, so I don't know if I am breaking the rules here.
The music is from Sibelius, one of my favourite composer. This is why I opted out of the sound rating. I added it in the description.
Good job :).
I'm impressed you did this in react! I really enjoyed figuring our the effect each mushroom had and strategizing from that. Nice work!

Nice little game, it was interesting trying different mushroom combination!
This game relies on luck a lot but fortunately half of mushroom types are okay to consume. Speaking of mushrooms, I wonder if I could dump unused ones to safe space in my inventory. That being said, nice short game! I've managed to leave the forest as a lynx after consuming certain mushrooms. It could give variations if certain mushrooms give opposite effect if consumed as snail, giant or lynx.
Very unique and interesting concept! I managed to escape the forest, as a Lynx, and I take that as a win! It feels a bit unpolished and is difficult to understand in the beginning but that is to be expected from compo game. Well done!
Despite the minimalistic interface and sound, I actually got caught up, it was quite fun. Nice concept and interpretation of the theme, and the mushroom effects were quite balanced. Good job!
PS: good choice for Sibelius
