I mean, what is up with this movement :D looks like my character bit by bit turns a bit and up becomes left or smth. game concept looks good, but it's kind of unplayable or if you decided it as a feature its frustrating

this game is very neat! i like the 3D style and colors and general visual design, and although it took me a bit to figure out how aiming with the mouse worked, it ended up feeling nice :> (though i wish there was like, a meter for how much health/ammo you have, and maybe a score would've been nice)
and the music and sounds are pretty nice, too! overall solid i'd say :3

@zancked Hey, Thank you, This my first game project ever , looking for more projects to keep going
hope to do more soon:)
Thanks, Nathan
@zancked Thanks for the review, There is actually UI that shows the ammo (top right) and player health(top left).
@vokietislt Hi, Sorry you had a bad experience. I have updated the game with some minor physics updates and player rigidbody improvements of I think could be a what potentially causing the issue.

Love the music! One small suggestion: keeping the cursor visible would really help me track where Iām aiming. It seems like the mouse controls where you shoot, but not which way the character faces? Keeping track of both was a bit tricky, but somehow I got used to it lol

Easy to pick up, great sfx, cool game! scoreboard would go crazy. Controls felt weird as well, took some getting used to, but when you do, could do pretty well. Great entry!

What I liked: - the mechanics of discs bouncing off walls (when I realized that it even exists) - sounds, they are pleasant - the graphics are nice - different blocks
What I didn't like: - movement system, honestly it was fun for me to race around the map with normal controls, but when it changed it turned into torture. - disks stopped being selected (there was probably a maximum, but it is not written anywhere) - I would like to have some kind of goal, for example, to bring something to the center or earn points.
Overall, very good for the first game. Good luck in future projects!

I was so confused by the controls in the beginning until i understood its due the aiming mechanic. It made it so much harder, not sure if that is intended?
Goodluck!
@yorze Glad you enjoyed and Thanks for your suggestion (yeah the eyes of the player does move in the shooting direction but it is hard to see from above). Actually I had to remove the cursor knowingly (otherwise if your cursor is far right then you have to move the mouse from there to somewhere left on the screen which made the distance very big and compromised on the fluency of the movements).
@kitmani Sorry, I didnt get what you mean by it changed. The control remains the same throughout the game. Yeah the disk are limited to 15 (maybe I should have mentioned somewhere). and for the last point, I was intending to add a score system but was limited with the timeframe. Will possibly add it in the future aside from the game jam.
Glad you enjoyed the mechanics of disc bouncing.

This is pretty fun once I figured out the controls, I guess that's the difficulty of the game. Overall fun, maybe a bit too difficult one there are 2 red ennemies preventing you from completing the red bits. I wish there was an explanation for the red bits as this is not really clear where they are and what to do with them (the green bar on top is what made me understand). But as a first game I enjoyed it, continue !!!!!!!
for a first game project this looks really promising, the 3d style and the colors give it a strong identity and the superpower recharge adds a nice bit of decision making. the movement takes some getting used to, but the concept itself is fun and i like the direction. what was the hardest part of building your first project? keep at it.
@perrarancino Thanks for the kind words. The superpower was not part of the original plan but I figured out normal player face more difficulty than the dev testing so I added it. For the hardest part - Its definitely Enemy, Creating the whole enemy spawner system for them, then added different types, enemy AI, and tuing their parameters took a plenty of the jam time.

The controls are tricky at first, but after a while it's fun to play The atmosphere is calm. Well done! š

The visual design is really solid, especially the look of the projectiles and the environments. Using the rechargeable superpower definitely adds a cool strategic element to the fighting.

Really like the look of the game and decision to make all of the arena visible, gave it a nice old arcade feel to go with the rest of the theme choices. Nicely done with the music as well. Like others have said, I think the controls were not the best and although they made it challenging I think a more traditional twin stick shooter style would have be really good. I would play test a bit more next time. Congrats on making, I had fun!
