Really impressive concept! I love the idea of traveling through five different retro consoles, each with its own visual style, mechanics, and atmosphere. The attention to detail with the different color palettes and sound chips is especially cool. Having items carry over between games is a really interesting touch too. It's a very creative take on the Old Tech theme. Great work!

Thank you so much artemeda (@artemeda), We're very clear in our use of AI to help through the process but there was a lot of labor and love that went into the and we're extremely proud of the final output given the time constraints. It's not perfect, we both wish we had way more time to polish everything. But we absolutely love what we were able to make. I hope you had fun playing it, we certainly had fun, pain, anger, jubilation, and everything in between making it! :D

After 2d animation sequence ended and the game turned 3d with different consoles was really cool. I liked the style and idea

online-play 2026-10-19 20:32 ♥ 3

Okay first time in my ludum dare history I gave 5 stars in all categories it's crazy good for a game jam honestly I don't even feel like I'm a person who can give a feedback. Animations and styles are a bit different in each game but it all fits perfectly imo. Good job on this one

OMG, thank you so much for saying so. I am humbled and like almost overwhelmed with joy to read this. I wish I could express how grateful and happy I am adequately. We tried very hard and we've been talking about how proud we are of it and like I have been steeling myself for hate. So, the kindness hit me hard. I hope you enjoyed and thank you again! Unfortunately, the game freezes during the loading stage after the main menu.

isaac-hisey 2026-10-19 21:19 ♥ 2

kremlebot (@kremlebot) oh no, what browser I'd like to troubleshoot that.

kremlebot 2026-10-19 21:22 ♥ 3

FF mac os

isaac-hisey 2026-10-19 21:38 ♥ 2

Thank you! I don't have a Mac but that doesn't mean I can't try to solve it! Looking into it!

isaac-hisey 2026-10-20 01:53 ♥ 2

by kremlebot (@kremlebot) if you have the time would you mind trying again? I spent a good bit of time troubleshooting as best I across every browser I have access to. The only thing I couldn't prove is that it would work on MacOS specifically. The issues I found pointed to it being a issue with the game and Firefox shader caching anyway so I hope it solves it. If not totally cool! Thanks for trying regardless :)

Super cool idea with switching consoles. I literally had the exact same idea at first, but gave up on it because I did not think I could finish it in time. πŸ˜„

Just awesome job for 3 days! ❀️

isaac-hisey 2026-10-20 04:08 ♥ 1

estelgames (@estelgames) It was a heck of a sprint lol. I was up until 5:43 AM Monday having started working around 10 - 11am Sunday. I think I went to sleep around 2am Sunday morning from whenever I start Saturday. We really went hard in the paint on this. XD

nappers 2026-10-20 08:15 ♥ 2

Very impressive that this was built in 3 days! I was really surprised by the change in art styles and the playful details of the buttons on the TV actually changing the whole style!

Besides the music flickering on the itch build, great job!

appoxgames 2026-10-20 08:29 ♥ 2

This game was insanely well made, cant believe how much content you managed to get in these 3 days. Only that well made animated introduction would have taken me 3 days but not you also managed to put in games and so much more. I'm really, really impressed.

I have no feedback to give, just awestruck. Thank you!

nikitastarostin 2026-10-20 08:54 ♥ 2

Really impressive concept - I love the idea of traveling through five different retro consoles, each with its own visual style, mechanics, and atmosphere. The attention to detail with the different color palettes and sound chips is especially cool, and having items carry over between games is a really interesting touch. The transition from the 2D animated intro into the 3D console-switching gameplay was a great surprise, and the playful detail of the TV buttons actually changing the whole style really sells it. It’s a very creative take on the Old Tech theme, and honestly hard to believe this was made in three days.

My main issues were technical: the game froze during loading after the main menu for me on Firefox/macOS, and I also noticed the music flickering on the itch build. The dev was quick to respond and troubleshoot, which is much appreciated, but those bugs did get in the way of the experience. Still, the ambition and execution are outstanding - would love to see this polished further. Great work!

dazylude 2026-10-20 14:07 ♥ 2

An interesting submission! While I do have some topical associations with the AI running wild on the web (although, in this case, playing retro games I assume πŸ˜„), looking at the history of portable consoles through this game is nice.

I did manage to softlock myself when playing it at first! :D In the first game if you acquire the hearthblade, then move the box from the pressure plate and die to a skeleton, you respawn in the room above while the gate outside remains closed.

isaac-hisey 2026-10-20 15:35 ♥ 2

Nappers (@nappers), Thank you so much! I'll have to check out the music flickering and see what's causing that!

AppoxGames (@appoxgames), Thanks you!! I'm really happy with the way it came out!

NikitaStarostin (@nikitastarostin), oh no, still freezing on MacOS in FF? :( I really tried to fix that but I don't have a Mac so I cannot test it directly. That is a shame. How did you end up playing instead of FF on the Mac?

DazyLude (@dazylude) Oh nice find!! I'll have to fix that lol!

Thank you all so much for playing and taking time to leave feedback! I'm off to go try all your games!!

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff

isaac-hisey 2026-10-20 22:28 ♥ 1

Updated 10/20/2026 6:26 PM EST - Fixed block and button soft lock potential. - Fixed (hopefully) audio crackling across all web builds.

yorsh 2026-10-21 00:28 ♥ 2

Nice game! It's a cool idea. The retro games are fun and well designed.

It lacks a bit of focus imo. From a player perspective nothing feels bad or too long, but I think it's going a bit all over the place so it looses the "tight design" feel a bit. From the dev perspective, I think the time you would gain by reducing the scope and focusing on the most important elements would be better used polishing those core things as much as possible.

Great work, Congrats!

isaac-hisey 2026-10-21 00:49 ♥ 2

Yorsh (@yorsh), thank you for the feedback! I hope your experience was an enjoyable one and I 100% agree. It's specifically the thing we wish we could have done more of, polish, game feel improvement, better story and the 5 different systems / games was a harsh scope to wrangle.

Like we have "five games" but not all the bosses feel great, PIP's arch is not as... fleshed out as I would like. I think I had this idea that if I did 5 disjoint small stories that would somehow be easier. I think though the reality is what you've pointed at.

Food for thought (on my end) :)

tenthousandfireants 2026-10-21 03:19 ♥ 3

This was really really cool. I liked the shifting of game modes from walking through the circuit boards, the first quest line and defeating the wizard took a few tries !> (get the 4 hearts from the bushes cave in that town ;) ) Then figuring out what to do about the seagulls was a little counter intuitive on the next quest line. The main pain point I had was the sword control something like E key or click would have been much easier. Ergonomically using shift a lot to swing a sword felt odd. I also forgot K was an option to be fair.

This was seriously a gem though. Impressive work!

I really liked the font/lighting and everything on the gamebrick. As well as that filter for the TV effect.

isaac-hisey 2026-10-21 03:45 ♥ 2

tenthousandfireants (@tenthousandfireants) Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Defs noted. I recently played with keyboard (all my testing was controller) and I agree, shift was a bad choice for the sword lolol.

nursultan 2026-10-21 17:12 ♥ 3

Saw your message on Discord earlier and decided to give the game a spin.

Really solid project overall. The idea of hopping through five different retro consoles with authentic color palettes and sound emulation fits the Old Tech theme very well. Having items carry over between the mini-games was a neat touch. Ran into a tiny bit of audio stutter on the web build, but nothing that broke the experience, and it's super impressive how much content you managed to pack into a 3-day jam. Left my ratings!

If you happen to have a minute later to check out more games, feel free to take a look at our entry Meow Bomb as well. Best of luck with the jam!

tigerj 2026-10-21 17:24 ♥ 2

This was an absolute GEM and I even left my self a little replay value. I'm so impressed with all the work you put into this, all the quest, the story, the dialogue. Please let me know if you make any post jam updates. I would buy this as it is.

Keep in mind everyone TigerJ has a submission feature where you can post your game jam game to be played! If you're in chat you get priority and he has a great play style and a wonderful ability to just "get" what you're trying to do. Highly recommended!

Some moments in the game remind me of the cartoon Ralph, a very cool game

andriybyelikov 2026-10-23 23:12 ♥ 0

Unfortunately it crashed on the second game for me. If you can suggest a way to manipulate progress I will consider replaying starting from the second game.

andriybyelikov (@andriybyelikov), sad to hear, sorry it crashed :( What browser and OS if I might ask? Or perhaps you were playing one of the OS builds?
