Easy to understand and fun to play. Good job!

This was really cool! I managed to make Neon-22 :)

One thing I wasn't clear on was whether or not the tiny particles whizzing by had any effect on your atom - I never managed to catch one to find out if they did anything.

Interesting idea, but I found it a little too short and easy. Definitely has potential, though - I'd love to see an expanded version of this!

Good job!

I really like this game. Did you consider scraping Wikipedia to support larger nuclei?

gus-the-shark 2021-10-05 21:53

Wow, you get max innovation and theme for this one! I'm pumped and nerding-out I just played a nuclear physics LD game :sunglasses: I only wish it was a bit longer or had more levels/objectives

Take that, grade 10 Chemistry teacher!

Ah who am I kidding? I still know nothing about Chemistry. I did, however, quite enjoy your game. It's quick to pick up, there's a little challenge to it, it looks good. Good game, Thanks!

Yay, I won! Few weeks ago, I found my old chemistry book from the secondary school and was surprised how many things I forgot since then. What I liked was that your game was easy to understand even for people like me who don’t remember almost anything from chemistry. When it comes to the things I would improve, then maybe make your hitbox a little bit higher. Was pretty easy to miss protons/neurons flying at you. Otherwise really nice and clever game!

This was the first thing that came into my mind, glad to see someone actually put the physics behind it in practice. A really good game idea, this has really nice potential, having larger atoms, interacting with larger particles or atoms. Unfortunately the control is not that smooth, I suggest to invest in seeing how you could improve controls in the future, other advice I'd give would be to make the atom have a larger collision box to catch particles easier, and then see what feels good. Thank you for making this game, I was really hoping to see a physics based game. Good game!

What a clever idea! I had a lot of ideas when the unstable theme came up, but this one didn't even begin to occur to me.

It was short and simple, but in a jam like this, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. You definitely achieved the chill atmosphere you were going for. Thanks for a fun entry!

How cool I got to level Neon-20 and I won! It makes me happy to be able to win games like this. I like the graphics and gameplay and liked how the molecules stick together. I also like how it climbed the periodic table and thought that was a cool touch and almost made a story out of the game. In a future version I think it would be cool to get to neon and then go to a new level where you start over but where theres an obstacle or something. Then on a later level you have to get a specific balance of blue and red or something. Thank you and great work!

Nice idea. Plays well and is easy to understand. Graphics are simple but clean and easy to read. Music is nice and chill, matches the mood nicely.

Seemed like a very interesting idea. At the beginning I was trying to be careful about which particles to pick up but towards the end it was mostly random and I somehow managed to win. The music became a little uninteresting after a while, and I wished the atom would move a little faster maybe. I liked the simple graphics and overall it was quite intuitive gameplay to pickup.

I love that it is based on real physic phenomena! I got to Neon-24, so close. Really nice music! I think, I would prefer to my atom to follow my mouse instead of using arrows key. Good job with the game. It was a pleasant experience.
