Damn, it's a nice job real. 100 deaths of 100!
Cool idea for a finicky-machine style game, the stress of being isolated in a machine that seems unstable and primed to collapse translates well to this style. I enjoyed the audio especially--the alert sounds were genuinely stressful at first. Occasionally, I'd die with barely a warning about the reactor, though, which took me out of the action a little bit. Maybe the warmest zones are a little too punishing? Anyway, I had a good time with it! It definitely rewards a more methodical approach, which is a style that I enjoy.
Oo! I like how it looks! It's very nostalgic and feels like something that would've been considered lost media
Thank you for the comments! We really wanted to go for a nostalgic retro aesthetic that reinforces the heavy mood inside a submarine like vessel with no windows. In a way we consider the uncomfortable controls and awkward operation of the ship the core of the theme.
Very nice! Really fun learning how the game works, but the lack of crosshair was a bit frustrating, especially when trying to turn everything off quickly after restarting the reactor. Great minimal puzzle game though, took me a good 30 mins to beat it
Good game, pretty hard but the mood is incredible, i love your take on the theme and you did a really good job to make us feel the depths and loneliness and danger
I really want to play an expanded and polished version of this game, well done! My only critique is it seems rather hard from the start, its hard to understand how much of power different equipment consumes and all.
I can't beat it... I gave it a good 20 minutes, but I couldn't do it. Good game, it's a little hard to position the cursor without a reticle, but otherwise everything is very clean. The lights next to each item that takes power relating to its power draw is a small but important detail. It was very easy to tell what everything did and what it cost you. Great work!
Huh, what am I doing wrong? Even with everything on low, I keep losing power?
It's really really well done but a little frustrating when you lose power. Maybe don't have everything fully powered and on so I'm not scrambling to lower module power every time. can you even win? Just like kataStudios, I have everything off but 1 power and i use it for thrust and i still insta lose in the red area?
Definitely one of the top games i've played though!
The concept is really funny, and the submarines elements integrate well. I have a few suggestions though:
- Expand on the tutorial. It tool me some time to understand what levels of power I should choose to not die/blow up. - Reduce the difficulty a bit. When I warm areas I was constantly going between the reactor and the navigation lever. It was fun to understand how it works but once you are used to it it becomes a bit tedious.
So the game concept is really nice, and I would love to see where the games goes. Sadly enough I found it to hard to progress so I was unable to survive to the first target. The idea is really good though!
