Wow! This is a fantastic game. Love the concept. Never played anything like it. I was confused at first because I had a run of easy patterns, but after restarting I seen how innovative this game was! If this doesn't get a high rank I'll lose even more hope in humanity. I like the look and the beats blended together nicely. 5* all around! No issues to report.
Incredible game! The concept is very interesting, it's fun to play and the game feel is perfect, as well as the art and of course the audio! Very good job to your team!

It was really cool, I love the way the floor moves and how it works with the music.

Wow this was really good! I've had so much fun playing it. I love musical games with layered instruments and this was a great use of the concept. Very fun! The only feedback I can give is the dodge feels a bit clunky but that is no big deal for a game that's made in 72 hours :) Well done!
This game has a unique game play idea. It also expressed the feeling of moving while riding the beat really well. Once polished, it will be a great commercial game.

This was a super fun and original experience, very well done! I really enjoyed the look of the game and specifically the movement of the floor! Overall nicely polished game! :)

I like the idea that the level reacts to music. I was a bit confused of what did some damage to the player or what gave any (if there was any). In the end the damage tiles where almost every where and it ended for me at level 4.

Really nice audio! I liked how each selection added its own part to the music. Very nicely done. I had some trouble with the collision on the character and found it hard to accurately know where exactly it was, I think a more noticeable shadow at the character's feet or more well defined feet to ground it would help.

Such a beautiful game. I find firstly time a rythm game for this jam and it's amazing. I was attracted by the graphics and how the shaders were made. I love this style. Also, the game has smooth animations and nothing freezes.

Loved it! Liked the disco ball hair :D I thought the whole time I could fall off the platform. Don't got really something to complain.
Hope you had fun making it!
Well down! That's really nice and innovative game! The concept is very COOOOL! The movement is smooth, and I didn't encounter any bug during the gameplay. My suggestion would be making the map wider since the beats are everywhere in level4 lol so I dead pretty quick. Overall awesome Game!
Nice ! I love music games and it has a good concept, the roll was a bit hard to master but I could reach level 7 ! yes i'm proud ^^ Good job everyone !

I like the idea of choosing the music that will be played next, it would be nice to have a restart button when you lose, but aside from that i think the game was really good and the audio was my favorite part
Fantastic game. Love the concept of making your own rhythm obstacles.
This is honestly such a fun game, I cannot believe you managed to make this over a weekend it's incredibly impressive! I loved the music and gameplay and especially the main characters hair bobbing and overall animation :)
Fun game. I liked the way the tiles moved to the music. Great idea.

Such a cool idea! I think it would be interesting to see the beats categorized by difficulty, and have some sort of reward for the harder ones.

Overall
Fantastic rythm based puzzler, loved the beat compositions once they started going.
Fun
Dodging the lit tiles was super fun, I really appreciated the "pre-lighting" to warn you where they would pop-up that's great game design. Choosing which beats and therefor puzzles you would add each round was super smart and really kept me engaged in the experience. Trying to think about what combinations of beats would be easiest to survive was really fun, though I wish I could've seen the other active patterns when I was making my selection.
Innovation
Exceptionally innovative, I've played many rythm games before, and games where you had to dodge lit tiles, but putting them together in this way was really creative. Especially because it seems like such a "no-brainer" idea to make this game (because the combination is no natural), I've never actually seen it done.
Theme
Perfect fit for every 10 seconds, using music is a natural fit for this theme. I also believe the "collectibles" appeared every 10 seconds though I wasn't 100% sure of that. That would be a good way to incporate the theme more if it isn't already.
Graphics
Really nice graphics here as well, the glow effects on the tiles were pretty and fit well into the game. I couldn't tell if they were actually providing illumination on the character or not, but it looked light they were lighting up the area. Character model was cute and anmimated well, I think the roll animation was slightly off in that it "hitched" right at the start and end of it, but overall well done. The tile pop animation and the graphic effects of getting hit by a tile was really good as well.
Audio
Great beat selection and combination. I felt like every choice I made created an enjoyable melody. My one critique here is that the start of each level the song would kind of half-start and glitch for a second for me. It would be nearly perfect if it looped 100% between levels.
I liked the collectible sound effect, though I will say it did detract from the melody a bit. The only half-decent idea I had to improve that was to instead play the "chime" noise, on the next "beat" of the song, and only play a short "ding" or "distortion" right when you picked up the item.
Mood
Fantastic mood, I felt like sort sort of weird DJ making beats. It could've used some more ambient noise or "club" dancers in the background to double down on the DJ / dancer mood.

This is really cool. I got so distracted by jamming out that I would kill myself  Super cool idea, played it for quite a while just vibing. Really unique, well done!

@tobius thanks for the thorough feedback, much appreciated. The collectible did indeed appear every 10 seconds, at the first beat of every four bars. I agree that the pickup sound could have been incorporated better into the song, maybe with a variable length "swelling" effect leading up to the next beat. I'm sorry the sound glitched a bit for you. Once you make your choice, the next bar will have the tambourine to warn you and on the bar after the main music starts again. We tried to get the transition to be seamless and make sure the audio and visuals synced up but I agree it can be improved; also, good suggestion on the ambience, that could help to "stich" it together more and keep the groove going. I'm really glad you liked the game and hope you had a ton of fun

That is one of the most fun games i played this jam. And the theme is well integrated too. Most things have already been praised so let me instead nitpick a few minor problems:
The 3d floor could rise a tiny bit lower as it distracts if you are behind it. The dash once got stuck in place. The notes (lives) sound doesnt really fit into the rhythm (though i wouldnt know how to "fix" that).
As you can see all these things are barely problems at all and you did a great job. I btw love how the players hair lookss like a discoball.
yes i think i found my favorite game in this jam, very nice approach to the theme

Incredible game! I think you nailed it with the theme, mood and fun. The game has a lot of potential to develop even further. It feels polished even now, my favorite detail was the main character jamming to the beat. Maybe some of the instruments sounded a bit weird, but I really liked the idea to stack them on top of another. Great job!

I love music games when done right and it is great. Being able to essentially make your own track while playing. I played it a couple of times and found out there's a lot more different ones that I didn't even see on the first couple go arounds. I tried to go for big and hit 10 but fell short. The audio for this game is outstanding 5/5 score.png

Really cool sound-design! I launched the game several time just to enjoy the different combination. Having the game actions synced to the music gives extremely good sensation!
I had some issues reading the screen sometime. The colors are not always very contrasted, and with the perspective it's easy for a raised tile to hide the one behind. Nevertheless, it was still challenging and satisfying to play. Great job!
Very cool concept, very enjoyable ! Challenging, strategic, with different musics for each try, very clean graphics.
But some issues : All colors are not as visibles as the others (Can't say an example right now, sorry), but the biggest problem is the very very very short invincibility time after a hit. I lost a few times all my 3 HP in a second.
Anyway, pretty proud of my score, I won't try harder. ^^

LOVE IT! Really entertaining and fun. It reminded me of one of the levels in pummel party game
A challenging and yet enjoyable game. I also loved your character model!
