Hey ! finally done after a weekend with a lot of other stuffs done with family and friends. This time it's not a compo but a jam submission : I used paid assets and legacy code from other games... and dall-e ! Have fun
Embedded WebGL seems buggy inside ldjam.cam but you can try the game from itch.io here: https://nenechico.itch.io/drunkardalien
Arf a bug on bottles count, but the game is playable. I will fix it tommorrow. Too much tired now :P
Some of the different camera perspectives definitely amplified the challenge haha. One of them looked so far ahead I couldn't see the player character at all and another moved directly through the platforms XD
It sometimes felt like the character couldn't jump high enough to get on upcoming platforms. Otherwise it's a cool little game. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for feedbacks @keenan-woodall & @woahitsjeff I just fix the back camera position

Every time the camera changed the character was completely out of view for me which made the game pretty unplayable. I think the main idea is pretty fun though.
The idea on this is absolutely, stunningly amazing.
The execution unfortunately didn't make it for me. With that being said, I loathe platformers so I'm not the target audience anyways and so anything I say should be taken with grains of salt.
The camera perspective shifts, in my opinion, made the game unplayable. There are so many views where you just can't see what is happening in a way that makes you unable to respond.
Then there are the reloads that put you below a platform.
Making things work with neat ideas in game jams is HARD cause of the time constraints and this would be a hefty project to try to tackle.
The sounds were great, everything was incredibly smooth which felt really nice... it's just that I died way too fast due to things I couldn't control.
Thank you though for the experience, even if I hate platformers I genuinely enjoyed how smooth everything felt. Bizarrely dystopian.

I like the idea of a game about an escaped alien, and things that chages every ten secounds like camera view or player speed. Also, sadly, i couldn't collect all 51 botlles. What happens if you do that?
thanks for feedback @busisen ans @otterfaelure I'll try to fix the respawn/reload problems with a new platform
New version with respawn problems solved (I hope) and some playability tunning.
@ukra174 try again the game is easier now and you will be able see the end at 51 bottles :)

Good idea ! Camera feels a bit weird tho.
Good job !
I like the idea however there were a few tweaks that I think are necessary. My first one the camera at one point stopped showing the player entirely ending that run. Also some jumps I just was not able to make and fell through the bottom of the platform's.
Fun idea with a drunk alien! I think there is a bug in the camera positioning since sometime I could not see the alien. Besides, the controls are intuitive and it is easy to play.
It's an interesting concept which is pretty original - good work!

Interesting platformer! There seems to be platforms I can never jump to. Just a few more tweaks and I think you'll have a fairly complete game. Good work!
