this is so cute!! the art is so cute. gameplay is adorable. and really well made. a pity there were only three minigames — this would be so cool as a longer, full game. well done :D

albertnez 2022-10-03 20:33

The game looks really nice! While similar ideas have been in many games, I like that the character and entities positions are all the same, they just change their type, so only part of the game changes! Really polished for a jam entry, congrats!

the-yak 2022-10-04 05:22

I like how well this fits with the theme

min4uk 2022-10-04 05:23

great game. cool visual and audio, and perrfect gameplay. was very fun to play)

yopox 2022-10-04 13:07

Super nice entry!

I love the vibe change between minigames, and it was also a great idea to show the timer on the character. :muscle::clock1:

batkoi 2022-10-05 12:02

Nice use of the theme. I love how music changes with the game modes.

jose-bonilla 2022-10-06 20:35

Cool minigame game, I wish there was more variety! I liked the idea of drastically switching from something like a shoot 'em up to a butterfly catch. I'd recommend showing visual and audible alerts whenever the 10 seconds are about the expire. Good job!

kuro 2022-10-06 20:38

Sounds and looks very nice. Nice use of theme and fun to play around with. I couldn't beat any score so I didn't submit myself to the scoreboard tho...

Anyway, well done!

redneb 2022-10-06 20:43

Hey. I liked the game. The rock dodging level is hard and I was constantly dying on it. It's good that the music is different at different levels. Especially the lute when catching butterflies.

brainloaf-studio 2022-10-06 20:47

Fun game and concept! I like how the music changes between the different modes, and how the mechanics shift between each as well. Having the timer be represented on the player sprite is a nice touch too. It would be cool to see more minigames, but I like how chaotic the game already gets, especially during the DODGE! section. Nice work!

purpledartfrog 2022-10-07 08:41

Hahahah.... that was a fun entry... Good job on this one - and very nice idea. One thing I stumbled upon - are you sure the scoring is correct? I had a lower score when I got further in to the game. Something like ~2k on level 2 and then around 1100 on level 3. Good job though :thumbsup_tone1:

morepixels 2022-10-07 12:05

Very fun! I loved the gameplay, and the adaptive music, with the piano notes being played on the asteroids was fun. The graphics are adorable too! Overall its just awesome!

xorel 2022-10-07 13:50

This is a perfect fit with the theme, reminded me of a simpler version of the WarioWare games. Music was perfect as well, just a good, fun game!

juels 2022-10-07 14:34

Realy nice game, with a little bit more of game modes it would be perfect ! And I love the fact that the highscore is saved online, sooo cool ! (at least I guess it was)

sleepymenace 2022-10-07 15:18

Really good use of the theme, nice looking graphics, fun gameplay. The only thing I can remark on is that the Dodge minigame was way more frustrating than the others, the risk/reward didn't make it feel worth dodging through them so I ended up just trying to avoid everything and hoping it would switch to Catch and not Destroy. Maybe if dodging through a ball made it disappear, like in the other minigames?

It was fun, though! Good job!

sdelay 2022-10-07 16:08

8th! you made a global high score, that is impressive! I think the transitions between games is too abrutp, passing from catching butterfly to avoid rocks in a blink, sometime the rock is already on me at beginning of the new game. GG though!

jsloth 2022-10-07 17:06

Good minigame game! There I was catching butterflies and already forgot something was gonna happen. Almost peed my pants when the metal music kicked in and died instantly. Good job! :D

nakami 2022-10-07 18:12

Whoaw it's very polished !

I like the switch between "catch" and the two other because it force you to a quick change of movement :)

Nice music switch too ^^

The only thing is that nothing prevent you from being very protective and take the minimum amound of risk had avoid catching stuff at the near end of the timer.

markymark 2022-10-07 18:57

Nice concept! Idk if it's just my browser, but playing it in WebGL cuts off a bit of the top of the screen so I can't see my current score. The [ludumdare embedded game requirements](https://ludumdare.com/resources/guides/embedding/) are really strict right now, like they only support games that are `948x533`.

solah 2022-10-07 19:01

@markymark Yes I recommend to toggle fullscreen or play on itch.io to have no issues

solah 2022-10-07 20:00

@purpledartfrog You might have step on butterflies which makes you loose points ^^

eeperdeheap 2022-10-07 20:40

Funny game and really nicely done with the different mini-games. Cool music.

airwaffle 2022-10-07 21:05

Love: - That you added different interactions for each step. - That the different modes had such different music. - That the music in the dodge step comes from the astroids bumping into eachother. - That you are the playing as the timer clock.

Very well made with a lot of small nice details!

purpledartfrog 2022-10-07 21:14

@solah ahh that makes perfect sense  I was not aware that I actually stepped on them  I did see the net though but didn't connect the dots

shibaya 2022-10-07 22:43

Great game! Good job!

hungryroy 2022-10-08 05:39

I like the way you addressed the theme, a lot of nice details like changing music and style every 10s. The rolling through things part was hardest, as I always seemed to die in that segment. Nice submission!

nicso 2022-10-08 14:31

Cool entry

loved the fact that changing gameplay wasn't just a gimmick but also a way to make the player take more risks by getting closer to what will be eventually an ennemy

My only regret would be that on a first play you can spawn really close to an ennemy and therefore die in less than a second (ti's frankly just for nitpicking)

Nice work 👍

tyrannas 2022-10-08 16:39

Really fun gameplay ! It's a great fit to the theme and is kinda addictive haha

kosmosael 2022-10-08 19:59

I love it! A bit like Wario Ware :) Really awesome and addictive, love the multiplier and different ambiances. That's an amazing submission and I really want to see more levels!

shadowcast 2022-10-09 13:40

I'm on top 3 lets goooooo!

I love how each minigame requires different spaceing, movement and action. You really have to pay attention to the timer to nail the transition. Took me a while to figure out dodging actually gives score. Great game!

papaya 2022-10-09 17:41

Very nice gameplay loop! The game was polished, and the gamemodes were intuitive. I also love the scoreboard, though I wasn't ranked really high lol!

likirus 2022-10-09 19:13

I struggle to make a single game in 48 hours and you made three :D The game is easy to understand, well polished, looks and feels great, and is fun to play. My only complaint would be that switching from catching where you are very close to the targets to the other game modes where they are deadly can be very dangerous when you don't realize the timer is about to run out and you are too close to one. Most of my runs ended that way.

adam-gallina 2022-10-09 19:55

I really liked how distinct each mode was, but also how the objects were present throughout, really made strategizing interesting - you could forgo the score from the butterflies to just wipe the screen and make the next minigame easier, and so on. Really well polished!

diego-escalante 2022-10-09 22:43

Quick note: The leaderboard doesn't work when running the game on the LD site.

This was super fun. I've played a few LD51 submissions where the entire game basically changes like this one, but what I think is really clever is how the rocks, butterflies, and blobs change and persist when the clock runs out. It gave a continuity to the whole game that I really enjoyed. I loved the different types of music depending on the game mode. I also really liked how your own character displays the time _and_ what mode you're about to switch to. That was a really great detail.

As I am writing this, I am at the top of the board! :stuck_out_tongue: But I am sure someone will dethrone me soon. Nice job on this game!

woahitsjeff 2022-10-10 02:09

So much fun!! I like the varying sentiment when entering each unique phase. The presentation and audio holds itself very nicely. Well done!

bridgeonastick 2022-10-10 12:45

It's a fun game! The modes were all different, and I liked that each mode had different actions associated with them. The audio is great, it holds up really well. Really enjoyed it!

serxiolas 2022-10-10 21:21

Fun game! Sometimes a little unfair because of the fast change of scene. Nice entry!

brettschiff 2022-10-17 07:56

Awesome, awesome game! Very well scoped/polished/tuned

Nice seeing the visuals and hearing the audio change between minigames. Fun at first and then even more fun once you stick with it and realize how to be maximizing the multiplier!

chungostudios 2022-10-20 08:19

Good game! I especially like the music.

benskca 2022-10-20 20:16

Great entry and super polished! The minigames you have implemented right now are fun, and I like how drastically the pace of the game changes in the different modes. The music in each mode fits perfectly and really adds to the feel of each one. The visuals are in a great style overall and there's so much character in all the faces

I think if you wanted to keep working on this after the jam it would only get better with more minigames!

foggydude 2022-10-21 14:38

Great game! Would love a post-jam version with more different actions, the music was also really cool!
