@slush fixed =)
Beautiful and moody, a nice firefly-lit vibe.
awesome style. Very over the garden wall meets little nightmares vibe.
My God where do I even begin with this game. First of all, this is phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. The technical work that went into this.. the shaders, the lighting, the level design, the atmosphere, the music. It was professional grade. The programming must have taken a lot of work too with the pathfinding. I'm so amazed your team amde this in 3 days. Job well done! I made it all the way to the end and.. well.. poor little guy.
really good mood for me! a very different style than everybody else, just like it!
Looks and feels amazing, very polished art and character controller
The art was well polished! Great character and level design, the mood and atmosphere were well built. Game mechanic was simple, but already fun to play with due to the well-designed environment.
The mood, atmosphere, animations, transitions, and pulse were great!
Really outstanding and unique style here, everything was really on point
Great level design as well, keep it up !
I really do like this kind of content, everything's beautiful, everything's moving, a high developped graphic game, I even get lost from the path one time and every corner was designer far from it, I did die one time but I really don't know why, is that when we don't findany shining thing? Anyway wp, it must be one of the best game I played for now (is that obvious that i like great graphisms?)
Nice entry! As a player I felt lack of agency, I felt the lack of actions I could perform and my only task was only following a trail. That being said, the VFX and audio worked nicely and improved the mood that was already good. The character was nice too.
This is a nice exploration game. I like that there's plenty of environment to explore, but your time is also very limited, so your exploration is a pretty strongly guided journey.
Lovely environment and charming/spooky mood!
Nice moody game 🍄
I liked the simplicity of it. Awesome job on the world, I really like the way it feels coherent yet diverse. The behavior of the lights feels nice. You get the feeling of getting lost in an eerie place while never actually getting lost.
Thanks for the game and great job!
I love this lil guy! I enjoyed the simplicity of the mechanics and just running around looking for fireflies. The lighting is amazing and the setting is super cute. The audio is really nice and eerie, and the screen shake effect felt really good. Nice job!
You really did all this stuff in 3 days!? If yes, that's the best work I've seen on this LD!
Incredible experience, great use of the unreal engine. I love the use of the 10 sec to tell a story without any word. 5 stars anywhere, thank you for this game. Maybe you forgot the camera control on right stick with controller.
Wow, that was a huge map to make in three days, good job getting that much done! I wish there was a bit more to do, but the game was really pretty. The firefly locations generally felt pretty good, it occasionally took two tries but never three, and small touches like the fireflies themselves putting out a light aura when the pulse happens made it a lot nicer to find them.
You forgot to turn off "enable VR" in the UE project settings.
I loved this game, especially when i know it was made only in a few days ! It's truly impressive, congrats ! Everything about it was beautiful, the art, the animation, the lighting, the level design...
Very atmospheric entry, especially the audio is fantastic. The overall mood and the character gave me Little Nightmares vibes and I like the way you interpreted the theme as this background element of guidance. Good work!
Really nice atmosphere and a great design on the character. The lighting was very well done and atmospheric and it was an overall nice experience. Well done =]
I love the mood and really wanted to explore but the lamp slowly dying really added to the tension, and my personal internal fight of wanting to explore and not wanting to die ahaha. Well done :3 I hope you guys flesh out the game a bit more, I want to explore the world and know the story!
The concept is simple, but the game turned out to be interesting. The graphics and sound are simply gorgeous. I liked it! =)
Fantastic work, really enjoyed playing this :) I expected a charming and whimsical experience, but instead got something that looks charming and whimsical but is actually quite tense! Had a few moments where I was JUST on the edge of dying and managed to refill my lantern!
The game is archived in .rar (((
Can you archive it in .zip as well for those, who do not have winrar installed anymore?)
@cavejohnson332 Thanks. Alredy fixed it =)
Very cool! Thanks for sending it to me on stream. I loved the atmosphere and theme, the world design was very nice and interesting to explore. The game got quite terrifying at times when I could tell I was close to dying (the way that's visualized by the light dimming is incredible!). You all did great and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Real nice game, easily one of the best I’ve played so far. Took me a few rounds to get the hang of it. The art atmosphere and theme are very nice and the messages are funny. the game is overall a perfect fit for a game jam. good job! :D
Very nice and atmospheric game. The work with sound, light, graphics and environment is amazing. You are great fellows! Great Game!
This is visually quite impressive and the atmosphere was very well-crafted. I didn't find the gameplay very engaging, and the ending was a little bit disappointing, but the way the sound and visuals all came together at least kept me hooked long enough to see the ending.
@squimmy Hey. Thanks for feedback =)
The plot is based on **Slavic mythology**. In it, **fireflies** lead to something bad. At the end of the game, we find the house of a **Witch** who lured us to her with **fireflies**.
@forik Ah! Thank you, I see now. I didn't realise it was an evil witch. Maybe I should have worked it out from the evil witch laugh...
I played this for you on [stream](https://www.twitch.tv/timbeaudet) and I think I gave good feedback there, if so give a heart, and if not, don't!!
Really cool game! 5/5 on Mood for sure. The Audio was also fantastic. The Theme feels a little bit just slapped on top and dying due to not finding a firefly quickly enough felt a bit annoying. But those are minor negative points for an overall awesome game!
I honestly think out of all the games I have played so far this may be my favourite. With atmosphere, audio and graphics I was really able to immerse myself. I loved the use of the pathway with the fireflies leading you on a journey. It melded together wonderfully that I can't think of anything to say negative about it. 5/5 game I look forward to your other projects.
I liked the mood of the game, the rubble was neat to find while wandering. Wasn't a huge fan of the gameplay though, didn't really feel like I was doing much or like it was building up to anything. The character was neat though :) (Also appreciated the transparency shader when you were in front of objects)
Very polished entry, super impressive! I think I will echo all the praise that was given. Absolutely stunning visually, loved the audio work as well. Congratulations!
Interesting game
Super impressive game from an artistic/mood standpoint, I'm floored you guys managed to make an environment this big and good looking in 3 days! The sound design and mood were excellent too, really sold the fairy tale like danger.
Nitpicking time! The timing to get to the fireflies felt pretty tight during the swamp section, especially when you don't know where you're going have to wait on the trail to appear. I would've maybe upped the number of fireflies along the path a little bit to give the player some more wiggle room. I would also consider making the fireflies get sucked INTO the player, rather than away from them when they get close. It's a real bummer when you're near death and get close to a firefly, only for it to flitter away at the last second for a game over, haha. The checkpoints definitely helped it to not be too frustrating though, good on you for getting that in.
That's about it for criticism! One of the most memorable jam games I've played so far, great work!
@nick-shooter
Hey. Thanks for the detailed feedback.
We want to create moments, where you will be near death and a little strained, but when you catch firefly in last moment - you relax. So that was the idea.
We are planning to create easy enemies and more interesting mechanic of catching fireflies, but decide to spend more time on the mood (vfx, sfx, mechanics feedback). Therefore, in some places the gameplay may seem boring. That why we cut one location.
