Great stuff! Controls are a bit complicated. But overall great game with lots of content.

@svyatozar thanks for the comment. We put some hard work in, but couldn't quite get them to feel right, additionally the camera angle could have been better suited to the control style. Thanks for the feedback though.
You know, you can still fix control issues after sumbitting the game. Of course, only after a good night sleep...
@syvatozar yeah, I don't know how much is fixable within our experience level, if we can get it figured out maybe. And of course after that good night's sleep.
Overall, I think the character was too large. It made it hard to see everything that was going on. But it was a fun experience.
Wow! Really liked it, really original! My wrist would've appreciated if you could hold click to shoot, but it's ok. Also I think some enemies are hard to see given the ammount of objects and lights in the scene. really good job!
This was great! I wanted to give this a 5/5 graphics rating but it seems like you have opted out of the Graphics category, why?
really creative take on the theme, I love it. It could really use some fog in my opinion though, would be even better
@dom-de-re We used a pre made asset pack for most of the assets in the scene. Due to that we didn't feel right taking credit for the graphics completely. We really appreciate the compliment though.
Nice! I think the controls are ok, maybe the blue crosshair on blue background made it a bit hard to see where you're targeting though.
To add to that, one could make the character a little smaller and let the player to hold the mouse button to shoot continuously to alleviate some of the minor control problems mentioned above, but all in all it's definitely a fun entry nonetheless, so good job!
@devastus Yeah we tried playing with the camera, in our final version we probably should have distanced the character a bit. There are a few times the enemies still shoot at you if you miss them. The cross hair is a pain point we recognize as well. Thanks for the feedback.
Awesome looking game! Would be nice if you could hold click to fire.
loved the this game's level design. I actually prefer the click to fire instead of holding, forces you to be more accurate and reminds me of starfox
@david-wallett glad you enjoyed it. We didn't think of it in reference to starfox, but we'll take it as high praise. @nahuelito We were leaning toward making it more of a bullet hell, but as development went on we just ran out of time to play with some of the timing and finer mechanics and decided to stick with what we had so we could focus on other things. On both account good to know for future projects depending on how we want the game to be played.
really wanted to know whats at the end :D Great game
the 3D design here is so clean and polished, its amazing! The gameplay is basic, but well executed and just plain fun! If I have any critique, I would move the camera a bit further back behind the player so that he doesn't take up so much screen space, limit his movement so he can't go off camera. Otherwise, this game nailed it.
@bodaciouslycrazy Thanks so much for the solid feedback!
wow, well this was great! very impressive to have accomplished in such a short time! I think the player character didnt have any boundary collisions though? found myself able to move him as far off the side of the screen as I wanted to, seemingly
Thank you, nice graphics! The game is quite hard though :D When I restarted the sound was gone and when I quit using Alt F4 the game crashed. After that I haven't been able to restart the game. Maybe there is a zombie somewhere. Don't know if that is any helpful. Cheers Guys! :)
@miej Yeah the bounding parameters got left til the end and then just didn't fit in the schedule, at first we were bound in by a closed environment, but then my level design kinda threw a wrench in the programmers design, better communication up front might have subverted this, a good lesson to take away.
Very cool art and music! I managed to get to the end. It was somewhat hard to tell where the enemy projectiles were going and the mouse sensitivity was quite extreme, but I had a good time. It was nice that the enemy turrets activated slower than my bullets could reach them, so the final corridor was very interesting to me!
Very well done. Two biggest problems are: 1) no idea where your projectiles are gonna land (the shots rarely align with the crosshair) 2) no idea where your enemy's projectiles are gonna land (the red beams are two-dimentional, which doesn't work quite well in 3D) But the music, the graphics, the feel - all great
Reminds me a little bit of star fox for the n64. Nice game
Great job here! The graphics were really cool, even though I saw that you said you used an asset pack, you still picked out a great one. It had a cool overall vibe to the game too. Like some others have said, the character was for sure a little large, blocking parts of the screen, and it became easy when you just shot the turrets far before they could shoot you. The very start of the game was for sure the most interesting with the asteroids, having to actually dodge lots of obstacles and shots. I think if the turrets took more bullets to kill it would feel more satisfying too. Regardless, awesome job!!
Graphic and music are awesome (dunno why i can't rate the graphic)! The music reminds me an old playstation game called Rollcage :-D The game has a simple mechanic but it's enjoiable. Well done!
Finished the game with 11805!
Pros:
- Deadspace with rouge AI and not aliens - Simple and effective mechanic - Correct controls - Not to difficult, easy to grasp by anyone - Appealing graphics (even though it's probably 3rd party as you opted out graphics?) - Level Design is cool!
Cons:
- Monotone music - Sound: Laser from character does not have this 'ompf' kind of feeling. Not gonna tell anything to lasers from turrets as the sound is space does not exist per say. - Lasers might have been more shiny - I could go outside of the view with my character, loosing it for a brief of time before I managed to comeback. 1440p screen, probably camera viewpoint issues. - A bit more animation to turrets would've been nice (then just open/close instantly or change their appearance completely)
@viperux They opted out graphics voting, probably because they used 3rd party asset pack.
Overall a good job done!
I love the 2001 space odyssey vibes from this game. The bullets hell aspect of the game was interesting as the character was much larger than typical bullet hell games, also since you can leave the screen bounds it allows for some interesting game play where I don't run out of space to move and yet you as the player want to get back to screen. <3
Nice entry with good art and music. Pretty good game play. I think it would have been a lot better given better game feel. good work. :)
I really got into this. The graphics and style was done well. I enjoyed the music. Pretty creative. Its a falling shoot em up.
Nice work on the music, was a little hard to see what I was shooting due to the character taking up the screen, but I got the hang of it :). Big face never stood a chance against the descending slayer! Nice work.
Super Cool. That’s a crazy amount of 3D for one weekend. I had a blast. The controls reinforce the feeling of falling, and the movement speed is just right to make you feel like a daredevil but still feel the urgency of dodging the copious pew-pews. It took me a one or two tries to feel like I was good at the game, but after that every death felt fair. Great music, keeps the intensity without being distracting. All in all, great submission. Thank you so much for bringing this by my stream. Here's a link to the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1006750294?t=4h10m58s
Congratulations on your game, fulfilled the mission, brought a game using something I love "space", took immersion to the game and adapted to the theme, it was a very cool experience, a big hug, if you can give your feedback regarding mine game I will be grateful.
The web link is giving 404. If you can fix that, let me know! I'd love to play.
Ditto the above comment. Would love a web link to give this a try!
@ComicSans @woahitsjeff Thanks for letting us know. I think I fixed it. Give it another try. Let me know if you still can't play it.
I thought I am a space ship ,but than I realize I am a astronaut  nice praphic
Nice entry, it was fun floating around. It would have been nice if the movement has bounds, so the character can't exit the screen and a hit detection would be nice
Looks like a quite nice approach to a falling game. I like the option to restore my HP as well! Wish I could fall faster though, as it generally feels slow from that aspect. Awesome work! :D
Looks great. Good job
Great game, and kudos for your music. :musical_note: It created the perfect mood.
Nice game :) The lasers were too hard to read and lacked any proper feedback. Even a very basic screen shake, camera bump, color blink, or whatever would be better than nothing.
Also, the game could start a little bit slower then ramp up speed to current setting: it's a bit hard as it is right now.
Been watching some GMTK and had the same thought @deepnight. Thanks for the feedback.
