Nice game!! Great music and nice innovation!
Thanks guys! I'm kinda new to the gaming community and it's my first game jam! I'm learning and I'll improve for next jams:)
Музыку хорошо подобрал, но геймплей быстро надоедает, а так хорошая игра.
Cute lil game, very original :3
So I tried to beat it but I think either the robot glitched out or I just couldn't figure it out
In level 2, it kept moving forward until it reached the edge of the floor, and then it fell and I lost. There wasn't anything I could do except watch it fall to its death. There were some floating blocks but clicking them just caused them to explode, and I don't think the robot could jump on it anyways
The robot won't jump. You will find a floating platform up there and you have to click it to make it fall!Untitled.png
It was alright :). I didn't realise I had to click the platform on level2 soi exploded a couple of times.
Watching the robot flail around was cute. I feel bad for him, he has no legs. I would probably also flail around wildly if I had no legs.
The levels were a bit too long in my opinion, and a bit too similar to each other.
Hi all right, I played your game and as you requested I will do your evaluation, 1 - the game could be done only on a single screen, 2- static setting does not create a feeling of movement, 3- would take the robot to the left of the screen because when you centralize you waste half the screen that you are not using for anything, 4- improve visual aesthetics, everything is very prototype, 5- you could have made a scenario that suggested that the robot would be on a belt that was in a circle shape , would be well within the theme, 6- these audios combine well for pixel art, or retro arts, in 3D it works but it is not the most suitable, 7- Being aggressive only generates aggressiveness, we should not try to offend people, it just shows immaturity or emotional imbalance, you should probably be very young, or little experienced, but over time you will see that it is not cool, it is extremely offensive and discouraging to play a game that constantly offends you, and does not encourage the player to continue with that tip the message, I hope I helped, a big hug.0.png1.png2.png3.png
@etrealjunior yeah! I'm new to the gaming community and yes young😅. I'll consider all your tips. Thanks:)
Interesting mechanic. Good game overall :D. My only sugestion would be (as others has said), move the robot to the left if no objects are coming that way to gain screen or make objects to come from that point (objects comming from both sides cool be a nice extra difficulty). In addition i would say a warning for "offensive language" for those death messages would be preferable.
I think there should be more feedback on the fact you are moving towards the right. At first I thought that the robot was still and the blocks were moving towards him. The platform under the robot does not help, maybe the "gaps" on it should be farther.
Also, having the robot more towards the left of the screen could help in seeing the box a little in advance and react to them.
I reached level 3 when I stopped playing. I think the games needs a little bit more juice (some visual effects, sounds or gameplay stuff) to make it interesting to reach the end. The theme was also not there to be honest, it could be a nice entry for the "Out of control" ludum dare.
That said, the game works without troubles, and in 72 hours it's still an accomplishment, nice work!
@etrealjunior While I agree with your points, it could have been listed in a kinder way. It seems a bit an "okay now I talk" speech.
I'm with you with point number 7, but remember that everyone has also their way to express themselves and their feelings (also of discomfort and frustration). I also thought that those restart screen are a bit meh, but they could still be used on purpose to make up for a humoristic/sarcastic game, or something to make the player feel a certain way for certain reasons! They are not wrong per se. I appreciate you pointed it out, and I will pay more attention to it from now on, it just could have been pointed out in a more delicate way.
@rushikesh-charapale my advice for those tips is that, if you made them more cause of frustration, there is nothing wrong with it, just try to understand better why you feel that way, and I strongly encourage you to try to express those feelings with a game =) It's not nice to "bully" the others to make us feel better, but with a game you can try to explore what's going on inside you. We all made mistakes but the best part is in learning by them.
Game dev is not only a journey to create a game, but is also (mostly?) a journey to discover ourselves!
@toccio94 I portrayed the real feeling that a player would have when playing, I was very technical, and human, and said how it works, I did not encourage a behavior that in the future, I can see an offense as an excuse for humor, this is "wrong", if you do that please stop, don't create future monsters, and then complain about an unfair society.
@etrealjunior I'm not saying to him to keep doing the bad guy, but everyone has its way of becoming mature, and I think you have to follow what you feel, otherwise you just end up being like the others wants you to be. I'm sure that, through game dev, he will be able to get in touch with its inner self.
Gaming is also a way to let out our frustrations in a "safe" way. It's like going to punch some boxes, you are not hurting anyone, you are trying to let go what is inside you.
I know you could say that you do hurt someone (who could get offended by those restart tip), but that is part of growing up, mistakes can be made. Comparing this way of letting out to physically attacking someone, or to specifically targeting one online to bully that person is not right to me.
I also didn't say it was an excuse for humor, I said it could be his intention, but most likely not. To me, an unfair society is one which doesn't let one to express his feelings and letting him express himself.
@toccio94 everyone has the right to express themselves, as they wish, but we have to be aware that we live in society, and every type of expression will have an answer, now it is up to the person to be prepared for them.
@toccio94 @etrealjunior that's okay 😅 I got both of your views😅 Thanks for the guidance. I'll consider them next time:)
Congratulations on finishing your first game jam!
I've managed to finish your game.

There are many potential ways to improve.
Firstly, there are no reference points other than the floor to indicate that you're moving and because of floor's texture you can't really feel the movement. Static background doesn't help either.
You should try tiling the textures instead of stretching them.
Game doesn't feel balanced it's not about the difficulty but rather it feels random and unfair. Sometimes there is no time to react to falling stuff and it seems like the mouse input does not always register properly.
The UI doesn't scale too well with different resolutions and because of that text becomes unreadable in some cases.
50% of the screen (left side) is unused. Either move the robot to the left or use it for something else.
Menu music was quite nice. On the other hand, the in-game music is too repetitive. Not sure why you don't want ratings for audio though.
As for the theme - I don't think that the game matches it in any way.
Be more careful with offensive language as some people may be very discouraged to play your game because of that.
Also you don't have to spam with links to your game in the comment section of other entries to gain audience. You can create blog post on the main page instead or play and rate other games.
Hope you had fun! Good luck next time!
It's good, could be improved, but the sound and music could be better, it lags, a lot. my laptop isn't that bad, it can be a bit more polished
As was said previously, this is game is quite repetitive. Not because of it's main mechanic but becaus of lack of some interesting challenges. Because I really liked situations when the huge pile of boxes is coming at you out of nowhere. But it's still a nice first entry.
I agree with what the others have posted here. The game was very repetitive and didn't really keep my attention for very long... it felt like a clicker game, basically. The graphics were pretty good, the music was good the first few loops but it got pretty grating after awhile. The mechanic itself was decently well implemented, but I don't think it was enough to be interesting. It needed something else to really help it along. Maybe having some control over the player's position in the level would help, which would allow to have obstacles that have to be avoided, rather than just clicked on. As for the theme, I think the connection to the theme is pretty loose, especially given that the robot itself doesn't appear to move at all (agreed with what others said about that).
I agree that the losing comments are sometimes a bit rude, and the graphics seem too static, but good job with everything else!
Congrats for your first entry! You have a game that works and that's already a thing!
But, I didn't enjoy it, sorry :c The concept in itself is not bad but the execution is not great. The robot repeats the same annoying movements again and again and the camera is too limiting to see some threats properly. All the obstacles are more or less the same, and due to the emptiness of the less I felt like the boxes were coming at me and not the reverse. The music is a little annoying though I liked the menu music. The audio is there but the game doesn't look very good, but there's effort put in it I'll admit that!
You'll do better next time!
Nice one. Simple and enjoyable gameplay. Go on
Game needs a bit polishing. First level was too long for me, I just clicked on the boxes when they appeared, then waited for the next boxes. But all in all, very promising concept.
Nice game. Simple, intuitive game play. The action was restricted to the right hand third of the screen(on the 2-3 levels I played) leaving the rest of the screen feeling empty/unused.
Nice, i like the graphics and music!
