Fun game! High scores add a lot of replayability!
Really fun and challenging game ! Made it to 9 loop but I will try hard later XD
Super fun, GG.
(I did better than Darenn!!) score.png
Extremelly polished, amazing work as always! The aesthetics are top notch and the controls and progression feels nice (even when i died at lvl3 :( ). Thanks for including the arrows, a.k.a. left-handed controls. I would use more of the malus creating enemies, and use that as part of the level progression. Again, excellent work!
Fun game! The enemy friendly fire is interesting, and I tried a couple runs where I left boomers alive and got them to kill the others for me. But the best strategy I found was to take damage upgrades and spawn camp enemies. My only gripe is that you can die to the physics sometimes, because you get caught on the central structure or you get blocked by spawning enemies. Good job overall!
Really Fun Game! Love how you implemented a highscore system. Always wanted to do that but I dont know how. It really helps me push myself forward. Everything about this game is awesome from the graphics to the gameplay to the feels. Solid game!!! One of the best!
Really nice graphics and animations and overall great use of the theme, keep up the good work!! (by the way, we wanted to join your discord but the link doesn't redirect to an invitation)

Good job, the choices you have to make are interesting.
Really cool looking game and as fun as it is difficult! The mechanic of giving both an advantage and a disadvantage after every loop is certainly interesting and does a good job at enhancing the gameplay loop! Nice job!
That's it! I'm calling the cops! The LD is no place for a game with such sleek visuals! The gameplay is pretty good too, but to be honest, I was mostly gazing at the visuals here
Didn't like it being monotonous, visuals are really great, but the game itself becomes boring to me too fast.
Game looks beautifull, and gameplay is fun to play. I liked it, great job!
Awesome game! Love the progression and 'bad' perks that come with good ones. I agree that central structure collider is a bit lagging. And thank you for sharing Asset Forge, I should give it a try
Here is my attempt:

This game, with more and different stages and some bosses... I really would play this game for some hours. Great game, awesome graphics. Great work!
If you add a maybe a boss, some more enemies and tweak the pace a little I would spend a good amount of hours playing it. Maybe some progression between tries like extra starting HP? Great graphics and sound effects tho.
I recommend tweaking the damage increase you get at first. The first damage increase feels like a 50% dmg increase making it very powerful. You only need to hit the little shooters twice and boomers 4 times. With that damage I spent the next 8 levels without having more than one or two enemis on screen since they died almost upon being spawned (simultaneous spawns are good to avoid that). Also if you increase your damage furter you get almost no benefit at least with a total of three increases(since you still need the same amount of hits per enemy as with the first bonus) making it only detrimental for you because you will only die faster when the enemies will die in the same amount of time.
Other than that it was great fun and the scoreboard is a very nice addition, makes you want to play more to appear in that top 10.
The game looks great but the keyboard controls made it difficult for me to fully enjoy the game.
Anyways, great game
Very cool and stylish! Nice works. ^_^
You pretty much synched the gameplay loop with your narrative loop, with the reward being for both the ennemies and the player, it is for sure veyr interesting ! I liked the controls though it could be fast paced and juicy, the animations transitions also were very rough. The graphic style is good, loved the perspective and the global mood, and your presentation page on itch.io is neat as it should! I had a good time, played it 2 times, made it to 9 loops, it's really rewarding to be granted a bonus at the end of each ^^ Also, online leaderbaord, very good job, I can only salute those who make this type of thing.
Very good entry, good gameplay, good audio, mood, and graphics!
The gameplay is fun and I like the music and visuals a lot! I liked that all of the enemies had simple attack patterns and warning effects before they shoot. I found it hard to make progress though. There are so many enemies per loop and they have so much health! Also when there are multiple cubes grouped up, it can be hard to find time to approach since there is always one that is shooting. I usually died on loop 2, and made it to loop 4 once.
Some minor feedback: The walk offscreen animation was jarring because I often approached the edge of the door and it would teleport me a bit. On the game over screen the "loop number" has arrows next to it that look like level-select buttons On upgrade selection, the first tiem I saw the screen I thought it was choose one of 4, I didnt realize it was choose a pair. maybe words "AND" and "OR" could be added for clarity. I did a lot of dashing, and the dash sound became a bit annoying. The sword slash sound was good though!
The UX was a bit confusing at first, I didn't understand what were the upgrades vs downgrades, I didn't realize that it was a double-edged-upgrade system because the buttons weren't clearly buttons. The difficulty curve, I'm not sure if it's 100% calibrated yet, there were levels that were super-easy, and sometimes super-hard, even though the variation was not too high. In general it felt like the game ran out of content after 1-2 levels.
The only thing I wished for here was more variation, perhaps a way to get that goal would have been to make the downgrades and upgrades more extreme. That way each level wouldn't feel exactly like the previous.
The art and audio was awesome, I loved it, really got me in the tron mood to kill robots. The sword animation was legit fire. Would be cool if you developed this further. Thank you for the game.
Solid entry. The twist of having downgrades and upgrades simultaneously is a unique idea to keep the user choose different strategies for every playthrough, and they're even randomized every time! I also liked the idea that enemies can kill eachother, giving you a subtle reward if you're god in movement and positioning. Apart form the small bug with the level-end doors (teleporting, trigger issues) I think I would like to see only upgrades version with timer to see how fast you can get to let's say level 50, so after 20 levels you become virus-god-slayer and your time now only depends on your movement. Job well done guys!

Wow this game looks and sounds incredible! I would like to see more visual feedback when the enemies get hit, as it is sometimes hard to know when exactly they were being damaged. But overall, I really enjoyed it! Solid submission!
This submission is well polished and fun to play. I like movement and combat mechanics, it's simple but neat. Also, I really like the levelling system and the idea, that each powerup has upsides and downsides. I've had such an idea in my mind for a pretty long time, and it's great to see that other people have similar thoughts. Great job.
a really nice presentation with a solid concept. The two enemy types were interesting, I liked how you could use the large enemy attack against the smaller ones. If there were some level layout changes as you repeated, it could have been more interesting - however I appreciate that would have impacted the theme of stuck in a loop.
