Neat game. Definitely a bit of a challenge as you learn the mechanics. First time through I got stuck at the end trying to work up a sequence to get me to the last card. Second time through success! Nice job.

Nice. The mechanics of the game are really good. Really nice mix of strategy and luck. I think a soundtrack could have added a lot to it. Its a really nice game anyway.
You should also make sure to play, rate, and give feedback on other peoples games so that they find and play your game.
I had a lot of fun playing this game! Interesting idea with playing cards. Thanks!
It's an interesting concept, and I like that you have to think many moves ahead to plan out a route, but I think that the card game theme detracts from the gameplay, at least on a PC. The card ranks, for example, have no impact on the player's movement. It's a lot of keep track of, and I think you could make it easier by highlighting the player's and jokers' next positions.
Side note: I think this would actually be pretty interesting to play as a physical card game with two people: one to control the player and another to control the jokers. The players could take turns placing cards, so they can choose to play offensively or defensively. Maybe the joker can place one card per joker on their turn, while the player can only place one, but the joker can only place cards adjacent to the jokers, while the player can place them anywhere. There's a lot of possibilities!
This was a really cool interpretation of the theme. Also liked that a gamejam game was made with digital versions of core IRL games (cards and tokens). I think this is one of those games that I would bring up on my office computer to burn away time over coffee, like Solitaire or or any of those classic Windows games.
Very good submission! Well done.
Giving me windows spider solataire vibes from my childhood with the cards! Very innovative game I have to say well done on making all the rules and making it work. I had a lot of fun playing though 5:09 is quite slow for a win
This is really inventive. My suggestion would be to present more information to the player in more ways. Like, there should be a way to highlight which suit is next so you don't have to reference the cycle chart and your current card. Also, I would love to know how the jokers calculate the probability of moving to any given space. I think UI improvements like this would make the game faster and more fun to play without taking away from the strategy involved. Good work!
Very well done! Rather than an (obvious) feat of programming, this is an impressive feat of game design! I love the simple HTML approach, and the use of a regular card deck. You can really imagine playing this on a tabletop, and this mental connection makes any fancier graphics unnecessary, they feel like "real" cards as it is. The use of the theme feels a bit weak, but overall it's a very solid entry.
Truly inspiring in its simplicity, this is one of the most memorable games I've played this jam, congrats!
Pretty fun to play, I like the strategy needed in the game. Maybe a visual indication on where the joker will be next could help as I had to come back to the rules often (especially at the beginning) to check which was doing what but I don't know how much it would impact the game by making it easier tho. As a jam game, I think it could use a bit of background music but it does not really impact anything. Weak link to the theme but very fun and innovative game
I agree with some of the comments above that this feels like it would be really interested to play with a human adversary controlling jokers and having a restricted move set as well! Neat concept, great work! Glad I tried it out :)
Very nice game! :)
I love the take on the theme! Having the theme not being obviously related to the main mechanics, but being an emergent part of the game that stems from the strategy used to beat it. That's pretty clever.
I like this! Some extra polish could go a long way -- especially some sound effects. And maybe adding a secondary bonus, say by putting matching values next to each other. Overall nice entry :)
