Took a bit to figure out but its pretty fun, I honestly think thats your strongest category there was a hidden layer of strategy in that game which made it fun and not mindless. Fun 3/5

Graphics 3/5 I like the look of the snail and the lettuce but the ui looks very bad.

Theme and Innovation 2.5/5 I think you executed your idea as well as you could but there wasnt really room to make anything very unique or innovative.

Overall 3/5 good effort and I missed one lettuce so couldnt get perfect run but I did beat the game.

I really enjoyed this. I feel like I could actually get better at it with time, so there's replayability there!

togis 2018-04-24 11:07

I got 390!

The positives: * Good addition of rhythm in a turn based game * Simple gameplay but engaging!

The less positives: * It took me a few seconds to understand the movement interface, adding arrow or WASD key binding may help

Very fun! good work!

kaiomoi 2018-04-24 23:37

Thank all =D.

I go try and rate yours game.

good job!

Great graphics! Loved the approach to the theme, and the way the combined genres subverted each other in actually very fun ways. Very playable game here with mechanics I could see working in something larger. Great entry :)

david-boeger 2018-04-25 09:49

This would actually be a great way to adapt the runner genre to a more casual audience with slower reflexes, such as young kids or the elderly. I think it's actually quite innovative and does a good job of fitting the theme. However, no audio is a killer, and the interface was quite confusing. Also, as far as I could tell, I got to a point where I needed to move left to survive, and the arrow just didn't work. So I died. I think because it makes for such a nice casual runner, the game should focus less on obstacles and more on rewards.

Nice game...

gexalmighty 2018-04-25 17:32

Didn't really understand it at first but after some button mashing kind of got a hang of it. A good foundation as far as puzzle games go

moski 2018-04-25 23:19

I'm impressed. The slowest runner out there is actually a very thoughtful puzzle game. I originally mashed my keyboard trying to see what to do, until I saw there were buttons in the bottom for me to press. Silly me.

Anyhow, first of all, I really enjoyed the theme of a racing game with a snail. Very silly, but my kind of silly. Limiting the time to do options actually made this into an intense fast-paced experience as the game progressed, presenting an actual challenge for those that want to get all of the salad. I mean, who wouldn't.

Excellent work there. [My team](twitter.com/whalesandgames) wishes you the best of luck on this and all your future projects. Keep up the good work! :whale:

Thank all ! there really good comments especially since it often rewards well where I spent the most time. I am happy.

_I have try and rate all of your games._

toulou 2018-04-28 11:16

It took me a while to get how turns worked, what the points meant and the fact that you advance one step at the end of your turn. But when I got it, I have to say it makes a nice little puzzle game, the challenge being not screwing you up on salt at the end of your turn. It's a cool concept that deserve to be expanded. Good job!

yetman 2018-04-30 11:38

I underestimated it when I started playing but it turned out to be a nice and fun challenge. The mechanics are really well made and the difficulty curve is really well balanced. Well done.

jacklehamster 2018-05-01 15:15

fashionbatman 2018-05-01 22:51

Really good concept, works perfectly for the theme. Your snail is too cute. Great job!

mandarad 2018-05-01 22:52

I liked the idea of this. Took me a second to figure out how to play, but I figured it out pretty fast. With that in mind an instructions screen or something would've been good, but I know that's not always possible in a game jam (:

Nice job!

gonutz 2018-05-01 22:54

Nice graphics and 3D models. You definitely created a good looking game here.

Some music or sound effects would have been nice to add to the atmosphere.

The game play is pretty straight forward, the goal and controls are easy to figure out without reading the instructions, this is always a big plus, so respect for that! :-)

Overall a nice little game, keep up the great work!

mau 2018-05-02 02:14

Nice game. good work

yozamu 2018-05-02 18:45

Nice mix. The firt thing that looked a bit weird was the fact that we could go backwards; it seemed like a mistake at first, but when reaching the end of stage 2 I understood it was intentional. It just felt a bit weird because you could spend some AP to go backwards (twice a turn max) but then you were forced to move forward. Then another thing that looked weird to me was that you were basically able to "cancel" a turn (going forward) by moving once backwards for only 5AP. But then I saw that the camera was still moving forward so it would in the end lead you to death. So I think you thought about everything hehe. Well done, good entry!

papaver 2018-05-13 20:06

Nice game! I would have like to replay just one stage. It was quite frustrating to start from the beginning everytime. I stopped when I bumped into a pink thing that I didn't notice coming because I was all the way on the right of the screen. ;) I liked the puzzles where I had to move backwards, or when the ground was slippery and you had to be very careful.

cambryx 2018-05-14 12:17

Really cool game! At the beginning it was a bit hard to understand but overall really nice! It would be really cool, if you left some feed back for our game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds), thanks!

pparadigm 2018-05-15 18:34

I like the dichotomies of the snail and salt and snail and racing... really good use of the theme. Got a bit stressful near the end since it was going so fast, but it was fun to play. I'd be even more excited about this game if there were sounds.
