LD44 — Your life is currency

Slaves of the Carribean by chriiis88 2019-05-04T10:38:25Z

Like the concept, my country has a very black page in history about this (thanks VOC). I do find it very confusing tho, and the UI could've been a bit more polished. the theme is really pronounced and I like the cartoony style of the graphics. all in all good job.

Blood 2B Rich by brklipel 2019-05-04T10:45:48Z

It's a great game, but more stressful than fun. Mini Metro gives me a similar feeling, since I am forced to look after multiple things at once, and stuff happens too quickly. I therefore would really make the learning curve less steep since the mechanics left me confused the first time I played. nevertheless really original concept, like the graphics and audio, good job on those.

Tanemaki by Wyatt 2019-04-30T11:29:48Z

The goal is not really clear at first, and controls are sometimes a bit quirky, especially with turning the camera. You do create a very relaxing atmosphere, although the theme could've been a bit more pronounced, in the part that your life is currency , aka you can buy things as well. It's kinda unclear where my pebbles go when I lose them or why I lose them.. Great game, like the concept, but it might need some more polish to be really enjoyable.

Powerless by m110 2019-04-30T11:37:20Z

The concept should've been more explained. add a story, even if it is on this page. the game is quite polished but maybe there should be a way to gain health? All in all like the door concept, the game looks and feels quite polished, but it is in some cases not intuitive enough and misses a bit of juice.

GREAT GAME!

Robots' life is Currency by gecco.xyz 2019-05-04T11:02:13Z

Like Malarmuppet & LoloN, fun but a bit short. could've been a lot more fun if it lasted longer

About Ten Years by OddSocks 2019-04-30T12:04:37Z

Great game! Best i've played so far

Fools Fortune by Gear Steak 2019-04-30T11:50:50Z

Liked it a lot. audio would've made it even better though.

Soul Checkout by Pepijn 2019-04-29T23:10:57Z

@danga thx for the feedback! oh and btw to everyone else if you want to get your game rated plz comment a link

Soul Checkout by Pepijn 2019-05-06T07:06:27Z

@edevjogos there is a last enemy, the bomber, but it appears relatively late. Its the big one with the almost one-shot bullets, already seen that one?

No More Bleeding by JM Studio 2019-04-30T11:11:59Z

i can't play this game normally. Controls are really messed up, my player seems to move in some random direction after pressing and holding at least 5 different keys on my keyboard. the goal of the game also seems quite vague at first. I do like the mood and the audio and graphics.

%usergosh% bless you by SomeAnotherGuy 2019-04-30T11:44:45Z

This game really needs a tutorial. It is quite complicated and I still don't really know what I'm doing. like the graphics, but would've liked some audio as well. please vote my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/soul-checkout

LD46 — Keep it alive

Hive Alive! by Remco 2020-05-09T15:28:04Z

very neat raytracing! love it!

Feed Me by lexi 2020-04-29T11:46:12Z

Great concept, I can see many ways this can be expanded on. Graphics fit the style of the game and fit together seamlessly. Sound effects would've been nice but this still is a good game without them.

Hanging by a Copper Wire by Pepijn 2020-04-21T00:55:22Z

The game tends to be slow at starting sometimes. I haven't experienced any issues, but a few friends who tested it did. Please comment if you know what could cause this.

Hanging by a Copper Wire by Pepijn 2020-04-22T13:30:56Z

Post Jam Update 1 will add wiring kits, wire boxes and more power plugs in different rooms to the game. power plugs can be connected to the robot using wiring kits and the wire box. Also, batteries will use power 1 by 1 instead of all at once, so you can replace batteries more frequently. a backpack will also spawn which expands your inventory space from 4 (was 2) to 12 inventory slots.

coming up near the end of this week, depends on how fast I get the refactoring done.

Hanging by a Copper Wire by Pepijn 2020-04-23T12:38:27Z

@deadboygames Now i realise what you mean... I was shocked by the fact that my game was using 30% of my RTX 2060 Super... oof, sorry to the people with low-end pc's.

I will be adding a graphics downgrade option to the game ASAP.

Hanging by a Copper Wire by Pepijn 2020-04-25T10:54:36Z

I ran into a lot of game breaking bugs, they were an easy fix tho. Post Jam update 1 is almost finished.

Hanging by a Copper Wire by Pepijn 2020-04-28T20:55:54Z

Itch.io site is online! you can play/rate now!

Hanging by a Copper Wire by Pepijn 2020-04-29T11:48:24Z

@deadboygames I've added an option to the game that disables lighting. the new 2d lights tend to use a lot of gpu power. If that doesn't work you can disable post processing as well.

Scrap Cargo by shadow30 2020-04-23T12:19:08Z

Great game overall. A tutorial would be nice though, but even then it is quite clear what to do.

Rhythm Rifles by BlakeGameDev 2020-04-23T11:44:20Z

The game is fun and original, although the theme isn't pronounced quite as well as in some other games. secondary fire (e.g. rapid fire with 16th or 32nd note tempo) would be a nice addition, just to spice up the strategic choices. Definitely seeing multiple ways this can be expanded on post-jam! Great game overall!

The Fire Keeper by Honest 2020-04-23T12:33:53Z

Love the music, I could even learn a few things from that. I can see you put a lot of work into this. Great game, one of the best I've played so far, love it!

Keep her happiness alive by CokeJet 2020-05-04T14:48:32Z

You did not make the graphics yourself, you should've opt out of the graphics voting category. if you forgot it's ok, but just remember to do so next time.

Keep her happiness alive by CokeJet 2020-05-04T14:49:24Z

And you should mention your sources.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Serious Ham by Saurabh 2020-10-14T13:12:27Z

..

why do i enjoy this so much

..

Seriously tho, imma give you 3 star graphics even though they don't look good, because they simply work. nothing feels out of place and nothing is too cluttered, or too simple.

TRiXIT by tulipekoni 2020-10-04T23:27:59Z

basically a super hexagon clone, not really original.

Circleline by caeonosphere 2020-10-08T11:03:52Z

I love it.

I am definitely going to look into your source code as there are things I could definitely learn from. Great job.

SwingShot: Stuck in a musical loop by Pepijn 2020-10-04T22:53:46Z

@merkisoft Thanks for pointing that out. I will look into it asap but gotta get some sleep right now.

For now you can just play the windows build, as this only happens on webGL.

SwingShot: Stuck in a musical loop by Pepijn 2020-10-04T23:01:18Z

@tulipekoni press Space / A on the thingies

SwingShot: Stuck in a musical loop by Pepijn 2020-10-04T23:06:46Z

@boltkey This is my fault, sorry. Space to remove the nodes on keyboard.

SwingShot: Stuck in a musical loop by Pepijn 2020-10-04T23:14:13Z

I found a huge problem regarding controller vibration, that halts the update loop on the player object. I am compiling a patched version RIGHT NOW, so if you are about to play this game, wait a bit until the new version is online.

SwingShot: Stuck in a musical loop by Pepijn 2020-10-09T13:13:36Z

@caeonosphere yes, that is intended. I am aware of the difficulty spikes, but I playtested this mostly with controller so the spikes might be a bit brutal when playing with keyboard.

I am thinking of expanding on the project, but that would require a lot of code rework to say the least so don't count on it.

Loop Invader by ZwodahS 2020-10-05T08:36:28Z

This game is definitely fun to play. Just, think of more ways to bring up the theme next time around. I always consider top down shooters to be kind of a get-out-of-jail-free card for game jams, because they can be made to fit any theme. Good work nonetheless!

Hackermon - Evil Edition by Le Don 2020-10-08T10:46:57Z

Great game! You might want to beef up the 'fun-factor' / 'juice' of your game, as right now it feels a bit lifeless and dull. other than that, the concept is really original, and the way you implemented hacking makes it both easy to use for those unfamiliar with coding, as well as being correct in a way.

Graphics and Audio ain't the best but i don't blame you, not everyone is a good artist.
