basically a super hexagon clone, not really original.
I love the aesthetic of this game, it was hard but pretty satisfying once you're able to get a good score! I got to around 11.
Not sure every gap is possible to get to if they are far enough away, maybe I'm just bad at it though. Seen a game just like this somewhere else.
@pepijn @indiedevdan Just looked it up and didn't even realize a game like this has been made before. Looks like you can't be original even when you want to.. Thanks for playing tho! And yeah, that max 180 degree rotation is possible
Sure, maybe similar things have been done before. But, you've made it your own. The game fits the theme well and I quite enjoy the art style. Nice job!
Definitely something I've seen before as previous comments stated. Nontheless, easy to learn, hard to master. Good entry for 48hrs. Maybe it's just me, but for first 5-10 lifes I couldn't grep myself around the controls... If you turn 'right', you go counter-clockwise, so rotation is to the left?
old concept executed very well. played many games like this before but this one kept my attention. Very well polished
Agree with most of the posts that this is an old idea, however there is nothing wrong with simply taking an idea and learning how to do it yourself. I love the retro vibes and sounds. I think this was a success! Cheers
Nice, the music has a very funky beat to it, the background is also really cool. The controls are very snappy I did have some trouble with the wider turns. But a very good experience in my opinion.
Good music, fantastic visual effects, punishing hitboxes, and trolly random generation. What more could you want in a game? This is a great execution on the concept! While I was… poor at playing it I enjoyed it enough to keep trying over and over again. Great entry!
I liked it. As someone said there is a game like this that exsists, and on inovation, this is nothing new. However, it fit the theme perfectly, the graphics and the music create a nice mood. A bit overboard with the postprocessing for my taste. I really liked how the rings start bouncing after a certain point. Didn't get very far though.
Really liked the aesthetic and mood for this Super Hexagon clone! Congtratulations on your submission. One thing i'd say though is that I felt like the rings were too close to each other, game feel felt sluggish as a result rather than the fast-pace pulsing mayhem I was expecting from this type of game. Boost the speed of the circles, space them out more, make a better player death effect. Otherwise, you've got a nice, solid clone that felt really good with a punchy music!
This is hard! I was able to do score of 12 after some attempts. Pretty nice idea. Good job.
I won't be original, but I must point it out - it is Super Hexagon, but with loops (are we stuck in a loop of people pointing it to you? )
Not so original, but very well executed game. Addictive, nice graphics, funky beat makes me to play it a little bit more.
Good job!
Would love to see a WebGL version!
The music be bumpin
I like the beat, its exactly the kind of music i would expect in a game like this.
I would prefer if the game was a bit more zoomed out so i could plan my moves better but that might make it to easy i dont know. Overal i also like the graphical effects.
I'll start with the negatives. I don't like the fact that the controls don't appear in-game, and tried to use arrow keys at first. Alternative arrow key bindings would be nice. I can also see new spheres pop into existence at the edge of the screen, which would perhaps look better if they faded in or rose out of the ground by starting from a low scale or Y position and slowed down as they reached the normal value. Maybe this is just my questionable love of post processing, but a little lens distortion on edges might be nice too.
That's just about as much negativity as I can possibly throw at this game. It's a simple game, but it works as intended, and the presentation is absolutely stellar. I appreciate how the ball gets stuck in the middle of the loop on death-- it was a neat touch.
The controls are snappy, the movement is pretty well tuned, the default-diffuse objects look amazing with the use of color and moving lights, the background is interesting but not distracting, and the music...
OH BOY. THE MUSIC. The sound is this perfect mix; the 8 bit crunchy sounds, lo-fi synth score, vocoder voice announcer, it works so well. And-- DID YOU MAKE IT DYNAMIC? THE MUSIC SEAMLESSLY CHANGES BETWEEN GAME OVER AND PLAYTIME?
This is insane. That was the easiest 5 star rating I've dropped, hats off to you.
Music and aesthetic is super cool, but I think the circle you control moves just a little too slow for my liking and sometimes too much of the next circle is in the shadows to tell where the exit is. Solid jam game overall though!
i m feeling stuck in a loop, the neons and lights are great really <3
Nice visuals! The mechanic also fits the theme pretty well.
