Love the mood, feels like inside ish. Great job :)

lucien-catonnet 2019-04-30 11:10

Nice entry! The graphics and environment are really good, the cameras are mostly good, it's too bad it's a bit too dark to really appreciate it. The whole Inside vibe is really cool, the sound was well done too. Animations by themselves were good, but they weren't really well integrated, I was especially frustrated with the inertia of the character and recovery animations that would sometimes block the character (press Right without releasing, fall, recovery animation, no more movement even if Right is pressed, you have to release and then press again to continue movement). The camera/laser gameplay was alright but controlling the character could be frustrating and that made it irritating, it's pretty unnerving to die because your character can't get over an obstacle without the speed of a cheetah to back it up.

i can't play this game normally. Controls are really messed up, my player seems to move in some random direction after pressing and holding at least 5 different keys on my keyboard. the goal of the game also seems quite vague at first. I do like the mood and the audio and graphics.

bramreth 2019-04-30 11:18

I really appreciated the atmosphere this game builds. the camera angles were able to make some really great shots of all those nice 3d assets :100:, however some of the motion made the camera become a bit stuttery and unpleasant. additionally the introduction was a bit hard to figure out. overall a sweet cohesive experience with some killer audio and visuals.

karreg 2019-04-30 11:23

Same feeling than Pepijn. I passed more than 3 minutes ton understand the controls, then I didn't succeed to escape the first place. The graphics, the mood and the audio a pretty good.

It had great atmosphere and looked pretty good but there are three big issues. The controls were a little unresponsive and janky. Having the character move sooner after pressing a button would have done a lot to fix that. It was pretty hard to see. A slight glow on the main character would have fixed that. The voice effects in the epilogue sounded pretty terrible.

Сool but in my opinion too dark

lukbebalduke 2019-05-01 00:35

Lovely the way you've to build all the cinematic feeling into the game, really different from what I've seen so far, and it also gives a kind of Matrix setting and world building thing, not sure tho.

Overall it is solid work and the cinematic built in the game really stands out for me, keep up the good work!

whycardboard 2019-05-01 00:38

i liked the idea of the game, and the graphics and mood were really nice, but the controls felt a little unresponsive. great work on the game!

neithernathan 2019-05-01 00:38

The game is very fun and i love the way it is dynamic. It remembered me those story-driven puzzle Double-A games. I liked it very much but there are flaws (The no-texture art for an example). But overall i liked it a lot and it surprised me

yinian 2019-05-01 01:26

At first, the control of the game made me a little unfit, but soon I found the right way. I have to say that the scenes and music of the game are very good and the BGM is rhythmic, but I got stuck in the "green eyes"(I don't know what that should be called). I think the sense of jumping in the game needs to be strengthened

rancoud 2019-05-01 22:39

What you can improve: * reduce waiting between falling animation and moving again * find a better transition between moving from 3d to 2d

vladimir-smolin 2019-05-02 11:17

Nice mood. Maybe the game is too dark for me. Great job anyway!

mak6 2019-05-02 11:53

Very nice game ! I agree with @rancoud and you could also increase the lighting a bit, but overall it was fun to play.

xkyl 2019-05-02 13:24

Very good game.Good Audio,Good Scenes.Very like the game Little nightmare.

stockyspark 2019-05-02 13:30

Arroy keys control doesn't seem to work for me.

kydies 2019-05-02 13:53

Simply impressive!

naelynn 2019-05-02 18:26

Graphics are good but moving the character doesn't work very good for me...

dioinecail 2019-05-04 19:24

It was a frustration... I looked at those screenshots and i thought "wow, nice mood, i'd love to play it" Then i entered the game and felt like "wow, nice mood, i love this game" but 5 seconds later the hand that brings me here, kills me... i mean...why? what is the motivation for this. This was the first dissonance for me, i didn't quite understand why it kills me after bringing here.

I deleted the game in frustration... then i return here to this website and see people are getting through the game so i thought "hmmm, maybe it's me who is dumb and cannot understand what to do" so i unpack the game and start again....

The controls, well, man, if you were going for that Resident Evil 2 type of controls, then yes, you got it, but i seriously hate it.

Some level design? I mean, i was lost in the first place where this giant hand hits you for 15 minutes! It is absolutely unclear where should i go.

I think i have never hated and loved a game that much, i wanted to see what others did and i couldn't.

When i finally escaped the first place with this hand, i was able to enjoy the low poly views of interior which were pretty good i admit. But the controls... they kill all the mood

Some nice controls system and a few feedback sounds of footsteps and jumps aswell as interior sounds would make this game a wonderful experience. I hope you will continue to work on this project and polish it to it's best. I will follow you on your itchio profile to see if you will finish it :)

A lot of works on LD and it is very nice :D

pl4typus 2019-05-07 19:09

Hey,

Nice cinematic plateformer. Awesome graphics and music and sound effects. Special mention to the intro cinematic and the menu screen which were super super gorgeous.

However, you should have improve the feedback for the plateforming gameplay: getting down after a jump triggers an animation that taaaakes tooo much time to let us play again after.

But hey, well done. Really, this mood and the idea behind it, great job.
