nice game, found the double jump to be tricky to pull off. maybe add auto double jump to space bar while indoors. also when you leave the planet your old suit is still on the floor inside, what's up with that? new suit? clone? did the original die on the planet? that mystery will prey on my mind.
I too had trouble with double jumping. Nice graphics and music. Very short and lacks story but I guess you ran out of time.
I love the art style! The music was also done really well. I think the movement should be improved a bit, when you stand on a moving platform, your character should move with the platform as well! The controls also feel a bit slippery which could be why some people find it difficult to do double jumps because they can't get the timing right to land on the correct platforms. But otherwise, this was a marvelous game! I really enjoyed playing it (got stuck on Level 2 though..)
I like the ideas of this but I find the double jump too inconsistant to work right. I find that when I manage the double jump I can't then change direction. The art is good to and I do want to be able to find out more.
**pros:** art style was good planet/orbital physics worked well I liked the music a lot puzzles were fun even if a bit simple nice polished feel
**cons:** movement was very clunky no walking animations, it felt weird just sliding around the planets felt like there was no need to go into a planet, maybe have each puzzle reward you somehow?
I don't think I'd play it again but overall it's a nice little game [:
Really nice game. The graphics are great and it has a cool atmosphere. I really liked this way of switching between levels/planets. As @spinaljack said, the double jump can be tricky. Maybe make jumping slower so you have more time in the air. Also it would be better, if the player moved with the moving platforms. All in all nice game!

It would be really nice if you left some feedback :)
Amazing concept with a neat aesthetic. Your project reminds me another - Zillion (on Sega Master System). The jazz background music is gorgeous. The main gameplay is really interesting. I love it - one of my favorites ++
A fun visual style and short but sweet with some really fun ideas using the suit within the puzzles, but the gameplay had some hiccups.
|+ Lovely visual style and overall presentation with sound/music that really complemented the mood. |+ The way the suit was used in multiple ways within each puzzle either doubling as a weight or a combination along with jumping out of it was quirky and great.
|+ The movement especially in some moments really broke the engagement. I spent several minutes just trying to jump with the suit onto a platform but would either miss-time it and have to wait a whole cycle for it to come back, accidentally jump out of the suit, or land on the platform but slide off the other side and have to wait all over again. Even if the platform just stayed in the position for a moment it would have made it so much easier.
Even with the movement troubles, trying to workout and see how the suit interacted with the puzzles was genuinely fun and felt like a light but fresh twist to thinking things through. And even though it was short everything else felt engaging and polished so great work :)!
a lovely game. the visuals were stylish, though it was an interesting choice not to animate it. the use of the suit was very innovative :D keep up the good work!(also, you said in a post to hit you up with our games, so try out my game here if you have the time. :D https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/ragdoll-wars)
I really felt like I was playing a Gameboy game, it was such a nice touch! Yes a walking animation would have been nice but its such a minor things really. What does need attention is the move controls, they felt very loose, especially when jumping onto the platforms and then immediately sliding off. I noticed that the player doesn't ride along on the platform and that is fine. My game does the same things so no worries there. The music was pretty cool to. I also enjoyed the jumping from planet to planet, felt it was an interesting way to work through the map of puzzles.
I saw that you've uploaded a post jam version. I will check it out after the ratings are done.
Nice game!
Gorgeous look. I like the simplicity of the character. It has an almost paper craft feel. Great job!
Excellent pixel art. Love the inside-planet-puzzle idea! Probably you can dig into that idea further more in the future!
As some people have mentioned the player controls need some fine tuning. I also managed to get stuck behind the retracting door in the third puzzle. My bad :p Overall, the novelty of the suit, the planet hopping, and the overall feel of the game combine quite well to make this a quality LD entry.
Definitely the controls need to be fixed. The suit should also be able to jump its max height without getting a running start. Otherwise, I love the art style (especially the color), the music was very good, and I liked the concept. Good job!
Lovely art. The controls or more specifically the jump needs some tweaking. The characters fall really fast and its hard to do the double jump.
Nice game, I like the graphics and music, but coulnd't get it to double jump properly :C
Really like the concept and pixel art! Very polished entry!
I really liked the art style, fit wellwith the sound design. The level design was also well done, the learning curve was just right. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was the way the friction worked when jumping on other platforms. It reminded me of an ice level mechanic with the sliding effect. I'm more of a pixel-perfect precision platforming kinda guy, so that might be more of a subjective opinion :) nontheless solid entry!
I love the idea of jumping among planets to play the different levels. There is a lot to like in your game, from the fitting pixel art to the outstanding soundtrack and the really cool game mechanics. I especially like the idea of double jumping out of your suit which takes away your ability to double jump until you get back into the suit.
Unfortunately there are a few flaws as well which make the game less fun that it could be.
First, I found the sound effects to be a bit grating, which is extremely weird, since you have such a talented audio guy. I can only assume that you ran out of time in the end.
While the graphics are really cool, I think that sometimes the mixed resolution drags down your visual style a bit, especially when jumping out of the suit. If you stand in front of the suit, there appear to be some pixel artifacts. It's pretty hard to pull off a mixed-resolution game and not alienate pixel-art lovers and Unity may be susceptible to that, although I remember I've seen a pixel tutorial around somewhere.
When it comes to gameplay, I think the gravity mechanics could use a little more work, as I think it's a bit too hard to actually aim at planets and hit them through skill and not luck. The platforming was a but frustrating for me, especially since the heroine does not seem to move with the platforms.
A part of that frustration may be due to the keyboard layout, which I think uses too many different keys. I wonder why you chose to use Space to jump outside of the planets and W in the levels. Why not use one key for both? The same goes for O/P, since I didn't find you could remove your suit in space, why not use the same key for entering planets and entering your suit? Also I think for jump 'n' run kind of games it has been an established standard not to use Up for jumping (W in your case), which should be assigned to the other hand, like on a controller. So if you would have used A/D for motion and O/P for jumping/action, I think the controls would have become much clearer.
About the game logic, I found the fact that exiting a planet without the suit sent your character back to the surface with the suit, reduced the otherwise awesome atmosphere you created. Here an additional sprite of a rack of suits next to the teleporter may have kept the game logic intact. Something else I found a bit irritating was that you were able to just skip worlds if you wanted. Not sure whether you had to finish all levels to complete the game (I only managed to get to level 3), but maybe some token that has to be collected to piece together some sort of McGuffin would have helped tie things together.
Overall I think you managed to create a neat game with a lot of cool ideas, and a number of minor flaws. Great job!
