It unfortunately didn't really work for me, all I could do was press w to flap my arms, I think I was flapping at least. Congrats on finishing a ludum dare though! Well done!
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare!
Hey It was my first Jam as well. It took me awhile to realize the controls were working. Try to add to feedback to represent movement! Great Jam!
The game definitely delivers what it promises, I did get some sick air :) I feel like pressing W to flap your wings should be nerfed a bit, you can basically just fly indefinitely for as long as you keep hitting W
Nice game  I think it would be cool if the clouds in the background would move.
Good job finishing your first LD! Adding a scrolling background or some indicator you are moving left/right would help immensely.
Nice game: got to about 3500 feets. Is kind of easy if you keep getting items while if you gain speed it become almost impossible to reverse the fall.
It could use some variety, and maybe a scaling difficulty when you get higher.
Great entry!
Once I figured out how to use the items, I had fun launching my bro upward. Nice job on finishing the game! The music was so relaxing and kept me playing for 5+ minutes. I got to about 1500ft.
To the moon!!! :rocket: Nice work!
This game was fun to play! Interesting to try out each item when you get them. On one of my first runs, this is what I got (you can tell I was just learning to play):ludem_dare_score.png
Nice job on completing your first ludum dare! I hope you had fun too \o/
The opening of the game looks cute, with the skiier going down the mountain, while flying through the air it was bit confusing but then I realized I was supposed to move around. The movement was pretty slow and might work better if it was a bit faster, but it did work!
Overall, well done on making a full game experience!
Sick air indeed - I liked that each powerup had a clear effect with the animation so I was sure that something good was happening.

Thanks to the stats at the top I was able to check that I am indeed going up and further. It was a little bit like flying the airplane using only the gauges and other controls - as the sky/landscape behind doesn't allow to quickly recognize how fast you're going - would love to see background somehow communicate the speed and direction that you're going!
Thanks to the sounds it was clear to me when I picked up a power up - some visual feedback would also be good - like some particles or the screen flashing!
Congrats on completing your first LD! For me, each LD event teaches me a lot about game making, but also a lot about organizing myself to work in the most efficient way - and decide what is most important etc. Keep it up, hoping to see your future LD games!
:v:
This is a definitely pretty cool game for your first entry. There are a few small problems however namely how it can sometimes be kind of hard to tell if you are going left, right, up, or down. The only times I could tell was when there were balloons in the area which wasn't always so you could probably consider adding some parallax objects in the background into any similar future entry (for this one the clouds would do).
Also, on my first run it didn't immediately click for me that I could touch and should touch the rockets since in my mind they were obstacles. I'm not sure how you would go about fixing that. I understand you did write down that you could collect the rockets in your instructions but I like to first play the games without reading any instructions so I can provide better insight. It helps me notice things that I might not otherwise notice and can hopefully help you or any other.
Still apart from these minor issues, well done. I'm sure with this first ludum dare under your belt, any of your future ludum dare entries will be at least 10x better. Keep it up!
Frankly I don't know what's going on, I never seem to fall down. There is some groundwork done for a nice game, but you'd need to work on it some more. Maybe something on my end doesn't work, I don't know. Good job for effort tho :)
