Beautiful art and music, really well put together.

really awesome mood, nice job!

Really loved the mood. Art was great, I loved how you went into colour with the curtain pulling up. Reminded me of Bojack Horseman.

I love "experimental" games and this one felt very good. Simple but effective diologue/gameplay.

Also really great use of the theme - to be honest I didn't think of it in this way at all.

Love it!

sunset colors were great, also loved the minimal walk cycle style. Cool to see experimentalish games in here.

decappoolla 2020-04-20 08:09

@jonahsenzel finally someone mentions the walk, I'm so glad it works ^o^

@decappoolla my favorite part! Would love to see that style of super low frame line animation in a full project

marco-le-van 2020-04-20 09:56

I'm quite impressed! The art and the music were perfect for this very strange experience, good job!

Interesting interactive tableau, nice main character art, well done.

This game struck a very personal chord for me. Feelings aside the storytelling alone made this one of the best games I've seen in 46 so far. Thanks for making this

Went in not expecting anything, played the whole thing feeling moved, wow! Great work, loved the walk, artwork and minimal and effective soundtrack.

Wow, nice work! Beautiful graphics, great mood. Very touching.

gus-the-shark 2020-04-23 03:53

Wow well done, right in the feels. This is all really well executed, props for that. If I have to criticize, I would say the camera gets a bit clunky at times, for example when going back for the water. One of my favorite games. Cheers!

Excellent job setting the mood with the writing, graphics, and audio. The ephemeral line style really helped establish the setting and context. This game goes to show that self-reflection can be a good game mechanic if done right!

uberardy 2020-04-25 00:15

The rather simple graphics really fit the mood and somehow made it feel even more real. The walking animation was great! I sometimes had the problem of some dialouge being partially offscreen - I could usually guess the rest but that might be something to watch out for in the future. The squggly line on the floor getting flat in the end was a great detail!

"Take a seat" "No, I'm good." ouch, oof. wow. This game is pretty emotional, great work, though that remark really made me dislike the protagonist.

cheesepencil 2020-04-29 00:34

Pretty sure you're getting high scores for "mood" category with this one. Pretty stirring for a five minute experience. Good job.

xfinktion 2020-04-29 11:00

Very good mood throughout. Loved the "ghost" / after-image effect on the walking.

Only minor nitpick I can think of is what @uberardy mentioned.

All in all, very nice! Congrats on a successful compo attempt!

kromeboy 2020-04-29 14:15

Very nice interactive experience. Good music and well done simple graphic. My only nitpick is the control when you have to walk back to get the water

masaru 2020-04-29 15:08

This hits the feels a little too close to home... really well done. The walk animation in particular is amazing.
