Very peaceful, relaxing experience. Snappy controls. That's always a plus :D If there is an end, I never saw it though. Couldn't maintain the balance. But still! Lovely project. Always love me some shinto stuff.

Beautiful, consistent little game :) Love the mood, the gentleness expressed in both the game, looks, colors, UI and animation. Controls are good. Sound and Song in the end was great! The first few runs unfortunately I didn't catch that I died. I understoof that me fading away was bad, but I wasn't sure what I was getting punished for. I always made sure that there was some water in the thing but apparently it is better to have none? I think this game needs a little more clearer way of showing the sweet spot, not only on the character but on the tree as well. Regardless, fun, awesome game!
Nice game and fun to play. It has a calming atmosphere. Controls are smooth, but a little fast I think. Good interpretation of the theme. The tree may show reactions to watery and dry state rather than staying still. Wish you success with your game...
Nice game, liked the concept of they enemies, but you also need them and keeping that balance.
I had problems with not knowing why I died, I short description after you die would be nice. sometimes it seemed like I died because of no sun, but no sun had spawned, which made it even more confusing.
Nice, great use of the theme and the presentation is really good, love the music. Gameplay is a bit weird and ambiguous though. The controls threw me for a bit at first - I didn't realize you had to click so I just mashed random buttons at first (combo of mouse & keyboard isn't necessarily intuitive if it's not a shooter or something like that), also since you also left click to restart the game after you die, I would end up skipping past that screen really quickly since I was mashing left click to get rid of a spirit - the first few times this happened I didn't even understand I had lost since the screen didn't even have time to pop up. Also it's not clear what the loss condition is or how to balance things - there's both the water meter and the state of your character, and I'm still not sure which is more relevant. Still this is a cool experience, would be good to see some improvements to make the game a bit more intuitive. Nice work!
I also didn't understand what was happening to make me lose. Having said that, this is a beautiful game, and the music was lovely.
Like others have mentioned, the visual aesthetics of the game is very appealing and the music sounds great. Some UI to help the players figure out the win/lose state of the game would help make your game much more appealing. All in all, great work!
Great mood! I agree with some of the people above me that it was a little confusing. There was a water meter but not a sun meter, so a little explanation and cues as to what to avoid would have been nice. But so far the chillest entry I've played.
Really good audio and mood, loved the end credits song!
Cool and very relaxing game. You managed to craft that chill atmosphere really well without making the gameplay to simple which seems like a balance more difficult to strike than the one needed for a bonsai. One minor problem I had was that at first I always instantly skipped the game over screen because I died while fending of spirits. But after a while I figured out what was happening and had a lot of fun with the game. Great job!
Solid game with nice graphics. Would love it if the trees condition was better displayed. The tree appears to be in mint condition even tho I just failed. When things got more hectic the music was still calm. I am not sure if some dynamic soundtrack would be an improvement, but I feel like it's worth exploring.
A cute little game, I love that you taught me something about japanese folklore by making this game. The inspiration really sells this game. The gameplay is nothing too special, but the art is really nice to look at and the music is super nice too. I had the feeling that the sun spirits always cause me to loose really quick, so I tried to just keep them out which seemed to work, however the game got pretty hard pretty quick so I never lasted too long. All in all a really solid entry to the jam, well done!
good idea an nice execution in for art style. Didn't quite figure out how to maintain the balance.
