This is a great pick-up-and-play game; you just need to know how to fire those arrows. This is not Contra or Metal Slug.
It was super satisfying to shoot around with the arrows. For me, it was the combination of gameplay + sound FX/animation.
I was a bit lost at the beginning wondering what to do after the first objective. I checked the first NPC out of curiosity to get the key. Perhaps I missed it or I'm just terrible at reading instructions, but I could imagine a lesser-experienced gamer getting stuck longer.

I had a blast playing Orchard Archer at 3:00 AM ... the game's physic based archery is welldone and shows how much 'joy of use' can be the focus of a game. :dvd:

There are many things on the list I wish I had time to add. Such as: - detach yellow apples when 2-3 arrows already stuck in them - secret boss fight with merchant :eyes: - hp bar - purple bow w twin shots - some foliage - apple-eating enemies - couple more "rooms"
That is a really good archery game. The control and the aiming are very responsive and easy to use

Once I got the silver bow the shooting became so snappy and enjoyable - it felt like a really nice upgrade from the first one. The platforming controls floated a bit for my taste, but that's just personal preference and I really liked the game overall!
Ok, I don't know what is worse. The fact that I shot the merchant right away after opening the game, or the fact that you anticipated folks like me and made it say thing like "ouch" and "please stop" hahahaha
Love your game! I like how you get introduced in an environment that is not hazardous, and then get dropped in a room with spikes and projectiles.
This game could have benefitted from a littlebit of music. A basic loop (that is not irritating) could have been enough. I used Beepbox.co for that, it is so simple, that even I could use it!
Feeling of bow shooting is VERY satisfying.
This was fun! I did find the movement acceleration a bit too soft but maybe it's part of the challenge. The feedback of drawing the bow is good and feels nice to get solid hits on the apples.
This game was really fun, it took me a bit to really notice that the quest was in the top right so I kept going back to the quest giver when I thought I had enough... I never did :) lol. I did find it very difficult, every time I got the the gold apple quest I would go over and there would be at least 5 guys chasing me, and I couldn't take them out before dying. Speaking of, it would be nice to see what my health was, and maybe eating certain apples heal...Just a thought.
Overall I loved it.

Very nice! Really good idea to make the apples cycle through different colors so you have to plan ahead when to shoot which apple. The arrow physics also feel intuitive and its really satisfying to hit shots from a long range. A lot of fun, good job :)

The core mechanics and graphics are really satisfying. Personally, I enjoyed the shooting so much, I would have preferred not to have any enemies in the level but I get why they are there. Really cool game nonetheless!

A lot of time my fully charged arrows bounced off the pink ones that chased me, and lots of my golden apples just didn't disappear or come down so I had to wait for a single spawn on the far right.
Some background music would have improved the whole experience quite a bit i believe!

Fun game. I gave up at the last quest after 4 tries. I had purple fruits that was making my golden apples falls before they being grown. And I didn't manage to kill purples soon enough :(.
It was really really fun.
The only thing is a HP bar could have been helpful.
The bow feels really great. And the purple fruits that become an enemy is a neat idea. Good job !
Main problem I had was the game felt like moving through molasses, especially when I jumped. What made me lose was arrows falling down and not dropping the apples which clogged up the sky and made it tedious and difficult to complete quests.
Nice gameplay, I love this kind of "ballistic" games, nice graphics, but in the second room has already become too difficult for me ahaha The swearing merchant is awesome :D
Lovely stuff. I enjoyed it. Sometimes the lack of music made it feel a bit stark against the nice juice you had in the visuals. It was frustrating and rewarding in equal measure to get my harvest on. Nice ideas worth a bit of extra time I'd say. Kudos
Really fun physics game. The arrow shooting is so satisfying.
I wasn't a huge fan of the enemy that I couldn't do anything about.
And the lack of a health bar meant I died without realizing I was close to death. When the game made me start from the beginning, I just quit. The thought of having to do it all over again from the beginning seemed way too tedious. Maybe add some checkpoints after levels.

I really liked the 2.5D graphic, combined with the nice physics, tbh the only thing i found problematic was that when i died, the whole game reseted, instead of resetting my current objective, but i appreciate the tf2 refrence
Very interesting game, there seems to be a minimum shooting angle making it difficult to hit the purple apples close to the ground.

solid entry! really good shooting experience, the difficulties level up along the game process which is designed well, would like to have more type of enemy instead of just shoot flying ball but that's how you fit the harvest theme! so that's not really a cons, well done overall!

The physics of the arrows and apples was really nice. Add on the graphic choices and you get a really cool experience.
pretty fun, you hit a nice feel for the archery. i felt pretty frustrated by the purple killer apple, i shot it several times but it didn't seem to be killable.
A really fun game. The apple shot performance is really realistic and the design of green->pink->red changing is interesting and increasing the richness of the game. Really love the straw man!
