There is impostor among us
I didn't quite get it what you have to do. Rapair as fast as possible before time run out?
The game is well done, although I would have liked to see other minigames as it gets repetitive very soon. Great music and art.
@kromeboy Yes) There is simply not enough time for many ideas.
@javicoder I conceived mini games for each module (navigation, oxygen, water, capsules), I just don't have time ... the first jam
@sceef ahh well, don't worry you did a great job
I really like the effort gone into the level & art. The minigame does get a bit tiring, but hella good for the first jam. Gordon Freeman x impostor Music is very fitting.
@faux-grey Thanks. My art master, will be pleased with your review
Presentation in this is great, game play does get a little repetitive near the end. Overall great work on this. The music really made me anxious, I kept waiting for something to spook me.
The atmosphere in this is really good; I kept thinking that there was going to be something around there that was opening the cabinets (rather than the ship falling apart). This could be the basis of a pretty good horror game.
Nice music and visuals! As others already mentionned, I would have enjoyed more diversity in the puzzles.
Congrats for your first LD!
@rolly , @amkingtrp , @kaje-cimhael THanks) Watch game trailer)
Gamplay is smooth and simple. The musical atmosphere is great, but it makes it feel like a sci-fi horror game, which conflicts with the funny art of the protagonist. It is true that it lacks some variety, as it soon gets repetitive, and maybe it needs a bit more polishing, but it is a good job for your first jam! Keep going!
@alareo thanks)) I think to continue developing the game after jam
It reminded me to the movie Passengers. I felt lonely reparing the ship. The game plays Good, and I can understand you didnt have time to add mor mechanics.
The art is good and the Ambience music too!. Nice Experience
@teddyincdev thx)))
Great job, especially the graphics and level design. Probably needs another element to complicate or interact with the task of running around fixing things, maybe? But for a jam game, really slick.
@funemaker thx. i need more time)
Agree with other comments - looks, sounds, and 'feels' really nice, but would be nice to have a bit more to do.
@njs :heart_eyes_cat:
The music made me suspect an alien could jump out at any time!
@denhette Maybe...
Agree with other comments - but I would appreciate to have some kind of small (temporary) zoomout :D I had difficulty with finding optimal route to offline rooms.
@aknavj Such a close location of the Camera was chosen due to the fact that the game had to have elements of horror. I just didn't have time)
@aknavj i update HTML wersion game for you. Tap Z - zoomOut of camera)
Funny cartoony visuals and a nicely decorated ship! I'm not sure if it is possible to fix all the wires but I managed 11 at most! spaceengineer.PNG
Cool little proof of concept for a minigame survival, shame you guys only got one minigame in, I like the idea and I think it works well with the theme. I love our little engineers design, I'm sad you can't win :(
@louiejams The wires break automatically. While the essence of the game is to survive as long as possible) This is a little stupid ... I hope I can update the game after the jam
@3mpty Thank you) For the first time - I did not expect this from myself. In the future, I will probably make mechanics faster in order to have time to make not only one mini-game)
I kinda wish there were a few more mini-games/mechanics because the mood is really on-point, you just wanna have an excuse to keep running around in this space ship, well done.
@bentebent thanks)))
It looks like a pretty good game. I ran into the problem of not knowing why my health was going down. I was trying to figure out if there was a specific ship module that was in charge of health but I couldn't figure it out. Without knowing how it works it's hard to give a good recommendation, so I'd say maybe help the player understand why the health is going down? It was fun to play as is, but I just spent my time mindlessly walking around doing the minigame.
@queenofsquiggles This is not health. This is the stability level of the ship. There were modules in the idea, the repair of which would restore the level of stability, but the mini-games would be more difficult there. I didn't have time to do this. The more the electric boxes are broken, the faster the stability is taken away. While the essence of the game, just try to live longer. In general, not what I wanted to do in the end, but only managed to do that.
The art is great and I love the vibe of the game, but I agree with a lot of the other reviews where I was a little confused on if there was an end goal, great job though especially for your first jam!
@aderpychickenstudios thanks
Nice entry. I really like the art. The minigame was well made too! This fit the theme 100%! Nice work!
Would be interesting to have some opposition/antagonist to make his job more exciting!
GOTY 2021!! We were laughing so hard the entire time. Excellent work! :)
@stalemeat @helenangel @fabioecco thanks)
The art and graphics of this game remind me of cyanide and happiness and flash games, very nostalgic! A good game for the first jam, the game didn't have any bug ( i didn't find any at least). Keep going with this good work!
@jaspior thanks)))
This was a nice game to play. The game played well and I did like exploring the ship and going to the different sections.
Great job on audio and graphics :-). Also the map is really nice in designed and there is a lot to discover. But the game really could need a fullscreen-button ;-). I started playing with arrow-keys but it made the page move as well - but fortunately you have implemented WASD as well. That has helped
Besides that really nice idea with that "floating-eye-worm-thing" :D
Who keeps undoing my wiring? The music and atmosphere is amazing, but the gameplay is a bit boring. Some enemies plus limited vision would make the game much more terrifying. Considering it's done in only 3 days and it's your first game jam, I'd say it's still a good job!
@caloudon , @tomate-salat , @kyboon Thanks) p.s. fullscreen key "P"
Cool idea, very clean game. However as many people of said the lack of other minigames makes the game kind of tedious more then enjoyable. However i think if you made a way for people to compare scores and made more minigames i think you could have a really good game on your hands! good job all up!
@acidicdonkey thanks
Neat game! As others have said it would have definitely benefited from more minigames but its a game jam so it is what it is haha! The art style was crisp and neat and the environment was interesting to look at! The audio was well done also 😃 Good effort! 👏
so cool i like the design for the old man but i fell like you nide a mini map
Quality work! You only need to add more mini games to make it even better.
reminds me of among us haha,you should definately add more mini games
@curleysam @as-you-like-101 @goddoesplaydice @quinn-mohamed thanks everyone
The music was pretty ominous, so I expected something really terrible to happen to the poor guy. I guess the ship being destroyed is bad enough though... Nice art style, simple but effective mechanic. Nice work!
@pat-cleaver Thanks)
I would make ship a little smaller and add more mini games. Also, would be nice to see that correctly completed puzzles positively affect the ship. But overall, great job.
You make a lot o scenario in just 72h XD. The game is simple and fun. Of course a great entry for this jam. Congrats for the great work!
I like the music you have chosen. Made the atmosphere very unsettling. Especially in space, atmosphere is important :D You could say that the atmosphere makes you lose your grip on your sanity, making you a bit Unstable.
And I liked the design of the main character and the LD 49 Easter Egg that you placed.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The audio and environment really did well in creating a feeling of being alone. I played without reading the entire description so I was wondering if there was something else on the ship damaging it or if the character was really fixing things or not (unstable mind) and where was everyone else? After reading the backstory the feeling of being alone made more sense.
Environment was large and felt varied. Navigating the environment in the dark and with the music in the background made the gameplay feel more tense. I just don't like having to do the same minigame over and over, it felt tedious. I can still appreciate the game though, nice entry.
amogus
@noctiphobia @jammygunns @juniora @cip @keichits @kukurammus Thanks, I tried very hard to have time to do something similar to a game. I am pleased to hear that you like the idea, sound, graphics, atmosphere. So my first jam experience was not in vain)
Good implementation and concept! Not a bad atmosphere, I liked the graphics and music. Keep up the good work! Good job, guys
@pnikav Good Ava) I like) thanks)
I liked the general idea but would like to see a clearer indication of what I'm supposed to do and the priority to create a bit of urgency. Might want to consider having the actions be a check list you can pull up and get a sense of all the work needed. Hope you keep working on it!
@jessefreeman thanks)
Clear among us vibes here ;) but that's absolutely okay!
Controlling the mechanic is well done, only the hit boxes of the receiving cable connections could have been a bit bigger to make it feel more smooth. Also the ways between the tasks were quite long sometimes. Maybe a slightly smaller ship would have been better there.
Congrats to the assets you made. The chairs, tables, plants etc. Good job there!
This is a fun little game and I hope you find the time to add some more minigames after the jam :)
Congratz with the first game for a jam complete :)
From the game, I get a vibe that it is, of course, not nearly finished or close to the idea you envisioned - but it's a huge deal, completing a playable build in time. Speaking as someone who made my own first jam game during this LD49, too.
Current game experience is not exactly fun yet, and the camera position makes it not very apparent, what is the layout of the map - found it hard to navigate around. Moreover, I have almost the same issue in my own game :))) But since you have mentioned horror-vibes, and, I presume, missing minimap - it will be great in its post-jam state, it would be unfair to judge your idea purely on what is there in the game now.
So I wish you luck, it can be a great foundation of a fun little project!
@fluorescent @mordrick thanks
Good job! I like the concept and the idea in general, feel totally unstable! It was quite hard to navigate for me
Congrats! It was our first game jam too so I know how you feel when it comes to not getting in everything that you envisioned. The art is fantastic and I actually found the background music kind of relaxing until the countdown siren overtakes it lol. Trying to navigate throughout the ship was a fun little puzzle in of itself too. I agree that building on the mechanics would be really cool, but you've definitely got a great game on your hands and I'm excited to see what you make of it. Congrats again!
Interesting game . The old man is very cute. Not a bad idea from the point of view of history. I think this idea can be developed into something more interesting, for example, add a couple of other mini-games. Add levels so that the game would not only keep a good variety for a while.
@lazyseal @victoriaogino @muros Thanks)))
Good job! 👍
@nikiprotiv thx)
Great game! i love it, one question is possible to fix all?, it was difficult stop playing lol
@dreamerflow Not now. In the future, I plan to improve the game to the initial idea, to do everything that I did not have time to
Nice short game! I got Unstable fixed: 12 and Lifetime: 218. I really liked the environment, but I don't think I was given enough time in the game to appreciate each location. Which is a shame, as it seems like you put a lot of work into fleshing out the areas.
It's hard to be engineer in space! Can't even nap for a second, everything breaks apart! And then I die!
@civmaniac @gryhyphen Thanks)
@sceef work on that, is a good idea, maybe give more time to make the repairs, great work!
I felt that I was playing Among Us, but the final goal was not clear. However, I believe this game could be really cool with more time.
@dreamerflow @jpatchz thanks
Man, when I thought about the situation of the protagonist, it felt terrifying. With no place to call home, you put your hope in your spaceship, trusting that it will take you to a place you can start fresh, but you wake up not in a paradise, but this cold flying spaceship that's falling apart, and no-one here can help you out. You go around trying to fix everything, but eventually sirens start blaring and you realize there really is no hope for you. Congrats on your first Jam :)
@maxthedoom thanks
Чую дух Among Us! Хорошая графика, приятное оформление. Чуть побольше истории и какую-нибудь концовку, было бы вообще замечательно ^_^
@xpoho Спасибо) Попробуем дать игре вторую жизнь)
Poor grandfather, I feel a little sorry for him. I did what I could, but so many crashes in the space toilets killed him :tired_face: It's great that you do post-jam version with more mini games in it cos it have a lot of potential to expand. Good luck!
@rufson thanks)))
nice one, amongs us like experience!
Good job having it switch between game states smoothly in and out of mini-games, and to have a creepy atmosphere! It took me a while to realize I was not going to find anything to heal myself. It did well without sound effects, but for next game I would recommend adding some to let the player know when they hooked up the wires correctly or not. Looking forward to playing your future games as well!
@bizzarearchangel @nbumgardner thanks
Pretty good game. Thanks for a rly good expirience)
@kirby thx
As another cosmo engineer I fully approve your hard work, comrade!
Those balloons were an adorable surprise :laughing:
@shigor @samuel-fine thanks
