I couldn't get it to work on WinAPE or retrovm. Looks cool though, I'll get back to this later and see if I can make it work.

@thedashdude I test again and it seems to work. Could you explain me what is the problem? Did you have an error message? Otherwise, could you check that the disk contains the right file with the command 'cat'?

Fun!

Always love a good retro game. Nice Entry!

z80 is alive! Works like a charm on caprice32

Your instructions work.

Didn't understand the game rules at first. And as you said it is too fast on the emulator.

I liked your approach with obscurity.

Note to self: if(world.state==ending && availablecomputer.model=="Amstrad CPC") { find("ObscenelyTure"); } else { source.Play("cry"); }

khopa 2020-04-20 17:44

Wait... Your whole source code is in assembly ? That's mad ! Respect !

I wasn't able to play properly on the web emulator, too fast, and i couldn't figure out which key of my keyboard was mapped to LEFT and RIGHT, but it wasn't the arrow keys on my computer.

Then I installed WinAPE, and it was running really fine.

I love the look of the game, it's really clean looking and polished for an Amstrad game.

Then regarding gameplay, the first level, is maybe a bit long and boring, maybe it would more interesting if the "blue zone" was larger, and if there was more "information dots" to intercept from the beginning ?

Great job, very impressive entry.

I got it to work! I thought the command was just `zilogevr.bas`, didn't read until the part that said `run “zilogevr.bas”`. Whoops. Loved the game, and loved the idea. I felt the levels were a little too long, and it might have benefited from decreasing the size of the meter (both to win and lose.) Now how much innovation do I give a game running on a 30 year old machine??? :p

This was great. It's a fascinating take on the theme and from a technical standpoint it's super impressive. This is just a really cool entry overall!

microwerx 2020-04-22 05:13

That was so much fun! This is the first emulator game I've downloaded. I made it through two at a time, but three at a time was ridiculous! Great job!

lesslwo 2020-04-22 15:55

Definitely a cool take on the theme. Good job

Nice to see a fellow retro developer! And with my love for the Z80, I was happy to stumble upon this.

oqlqo 2020-04-22 23:11

That's some hardcore entry, I never expected to see some Amstrad emulation here! The game is flawless.

greendinogames 2020-05-05 12:44

This is awesome! It's cool to see a game for an emulator. The gameconcept and design is really cool. Very well done!
