hypeeee!

rory-kaufmann 2021-10-03 23:41

in terms of feedback, it's a little painful trying to use tank controls with input lag. Might feel better with absolute controls and instant turning. Very cool though, living in the future!

florianbald 2021-10-03 23:42

Duuuude that's sick! I had so much fun playing it! 403 high score, wish i'd reach 500, but i'm too tired atm lmao

kromeboy 2021-10-03 23:54

kudos for the idea. But I had really strugled to make it woek as intended.

But maybe the unstabilty is just part of the theme :-D

Super unique concept, and controls work surprisingly well. A couple complaints. A lot of the dots tend to be on the edge. Early on it makes the game far too challenging. As well, There is no punishment for NOT going after the dots. If I wanted to I could prop my phone up at an angle and it would continue to go in circles and earn points forever(provided my speed was low enough). Obstacles as well as making the dots larger would incentivize collecting them. Regardless, really interesting mechanic!

Extremely imaginative concept. Love it! The actual game isn't that fun but I can understand that the main focus was the novelty of it. Great entry!

yikescloud 2021-10-20 03:03

Wow, this is really surprising me when I found it really work! So cool!!!!!

It's actually shocking me how responsive the controls were. There was basically no noticeable latency and I had some fun, even if I didn't play long. I think it'd be neat if there was a "snake" mode though, where you'd have to avoid your tail, and if the tightest turn radius was tighter.

kraig 2021-10-20 08:22

It's a bit hard to get used to and stops working when my phone locks but it's a really cool concept.

tomssuli 2021-10-20 11:19

Wow, clever idea! That could be used for a bigger game now that you have the concept tried out! 😄

Controls were surprisingly responsive but I would have liked a little higher turn rate, now it's impossible to get the dots near the corners.

I hope you get enough reviews, because I think you deserve to score high on innovativity.

mizuiky 2021-10-20 11:46

Hi! I liked so much the concept of your game, the controls using the phone was a little bit unstable haha, but even I hadn't the chance to get one white point, I enjoyed to try hard to control the space ship :) would be great to play this again with a good polish in the phone controls!

xinera 2021-10-20 13:48

Such an interesting concept to implement in a compo game, although very simple it was still quite fun because of the uniqueness of the controls.

barrier 2021-10-20 14:54

Cool concept, didn't expect the phone control to work that well.

shuimen 2021-10-20 15:21

really really fun! Although I controlled bad, but that's the "unstable" isnt it? I really like it.

matthewlacker 2021-10-20 15:51

Super cool proof on concept! I was surprised at how easy it was to get everything set up and working. There is definitely potential for this kind of control in other web games.

With that being said I found the controls to feel a little unresponsive but for a compo project with a novel control scheme I am not concerned about responsiveness.

random-ideation-studios 2021-10-20 16:12

Amazing game and try to play games more or you will not be meeting the minimum score!! Pls try to!

dennis-magnusson 2021-10-20 16:30

Really cool idea, and the fact that it works so seamlessly is impressive on its own. I don't know if my phone's the issue here, but sometimes when I tilted my phone heavily it went in the opposite direction. Also, I feel like some kind of in-game feedback of the direction you are currently turning in, like an arrow, would be nice.

erikengineengineer 2021-10-20 16:37

Very creative idea and very good execution! All respect to your skills

fancyreckless 2021-10-20 16:40

Pretty cool and uniqe technically and I believe it wasn't easy to implement for sure. Controls takes a while to get used to, but it's also an extra challenge and a thing to master. I'd add multiplayer and screen wrap, otherwise pretty clean game. Music was energetic, and pleasant.

kiet 2021-10-21 01:10

Thank you all for the comments :). It looks like I reached the threshold for getting included - you're all heroes. I wish I had more time myself to play games (I kind of forgot about it for a week).

rengo 2021-10-21 07:55

damn this is wicked. most creative game ive seen. a lot of fun and obviously very interesting. only downfall of this game is graphics and some sort of variety i guess
