Neat take on a stacker game, fits the theme quite well.
A really unique take on a tetris game, I love it! Great job!
Very good game!
P.S. text rendering is somewhat broken in the web assembly build.
@omid-ghavami thanks! What browser are you using? Could you maybe include a screenshot?
Okay wow this rules. Super polished and fun game. I was surprised when I realized how it works and how _well_ it works. Music and visuals are super tight, truly an impressive entry.
Had a poke through the repo and noticed that your history goes back a couple of weeks, but I guess this is all non-game-specific engine work? Is it your own engine?
This broke my brain for a little bit, it was very challenging to me, someone who has played a LOT of Tetris. My issue is that the game is pretty easy to cheese: if you just concentrate on keeping a single column clear, you won't lose. Really, really fun though.
The graphics looks fantastic, cool gameplay
@rhys-vdw thanks a lot! Yeah, I started working on a 3D render engine on top of my own game engine a while ago. I used that as a starting point. I explained a bit on this page and on the repo's readme about how the game is made.
This is on Chrome Version 90.0.4430.85 on macOS:

234 / -41 on easy after a couple tries to understand the mechanics. It's super impressive for something done in two days, congrats!
Very good reinterpretation of tetris with the theme, the game is very polish. A bit difficult to understand at yhe beginning, but this is an amazing work for a compo game !
Really nice thought! Seems to be a rather unique concept, as I don't remember having seen something like this before, and it perfectly fits the theme. Well done!
Very slick presentation and good take on an old classic!
Very well done for a 48 hour project.
Keep up the good work!
Interesting concept and greatly polished. The graphics really set this game apart. Well done.
Very interesting take on Tetris. Definitely took me a bit to wrap my mind around the idea and what my strategy should be. There's a nice amount of polish as well, some nice music and transition effects.
This was super impressive! I was planning about making a Reverse Tetris for this jam but I couldn't think of a way to do pull it off. It plays great, it looks great, it sounds great, everything about this game is great!
That being said, I do have two nitpicks. One, you can't bring your pieces back up once they've dropped down, which is frustrating and doesn't really mesh with the goal of precise and creative block placement. And two, I think the lose condition is a bit strange. Since you need to fill up two whole rows, I could theoretically keep building a tunnel down one column and never lose. Seems to me that a system that checks how many blocks total you've lost would be a more logical solution.
@niterich hey, thanks for the helpful feedback :)
Yeah I guess I could allow the player to move the pieces back up, I did not find that to be an issue during playtesting though.
I do really agree on the lose condition being strange, that's a design flaw. You would never lose, but you also wouldn't really gain extra score, because all the crossing blocks will give you negative score points as an punishment.
I might take some time in the future to give this game an update with a better lose condition. :)
Great twist on tetris, and it works very well!
nitpicking, it's annoying to not be able to move a piece up, but at the same time, it feels like pieces start too high and that it's too slow / cumbersome to move them down quickly. Maybe they could start at the edge of the pile, and then have a timer until it's automatically placed?
I also agree that the losing condition is unclear. Maybe each lost block would add a row of blocks, and you lose when the column is touching the top?
This is an awesome twist on Tetris! And i got to say, the graphics are very pleasant. I think the music could use a little more upbeat tempo, and some more variety. Nice entry!
Pls send help. I need an adult.
really cool tetris game with a twist. As addicting as tetris too!
Took a while to get the hang of it, but it's a really refreshing take on the classic Tetris formula.
And here I thought all the tetromino game ideas had been thought of already! Very cool concept.
thats a very good idea actually :P I did have one misunderstanding at the start and thought only one of the 2 colors had to be removed, but afterwards I played as intended and it was a solid experience, well done :D
What a unique game! I included it in my compilation video series of a bunch of LDJAM games! https://youtu.be/R25_tXZwmbw
Let's call that reverse tetris!
Very unique take, I quite enjoyed it, it's a great and fun challenge!
I thought this would have had a fast paced trance music but it was more relaxing! Interesting “reverse tetris” idea! Rad graphics!
That was a cool take on the classic puzzle game! I liked the retro color palette you used, but I think the music should be on by default. Music always gives a game more personality!
> Sent from my Firefox browser, which played the game just fine
This was hard for me! Really polished game for a game jam and love the new take on such a classic, great job!
The idea is really cool !
really cool idea :)
Ok wow, this is an impressive and neat work for this gamejam! I love the concept, I've never seen or thought about a Tetris like this, really good job
This is a interesting take on tetris. It took me some time to get hang on it but it's fun to play. Good job!
Good idea but it has one issue. You can focus to keep a single square clear and play endlessly Immagine.jpg
Congratulations on the first comment, because you managed to make one of the games most worked by devs, losing only from the famous pong, a different version, because it is very difficult to do something different where someone is always trying, I will not take into account bugs, because this kind of logic to get it right takes a long time, rarely would a developer predict the millions of possible combinations that the user would do to tune the game, a big hug I wish to evolve your game, even if today it starts as tetris and tomorrow it ends like a another game, that works with this logic that will have a game with its own identity, a big hug, and I await your evaluations regarding my game.
Reverse tetris, love it. Not as easy as it looks at first, either.
Cool take on a Tetris game! Played well once I figured out that you go from top to bottom rather than the usual Tetris way. If I was any good at Tetris or played it much in the past I'd probably have more to say on it, but good work overall!
Great take on Tetris! It looks like someone else already found this too, but I just kept going forever with one mark left in one row, making sure to keep it clear. I was able to make points while staying alive too by just pushing a few blocks down in between to clear parts of the other rows. Really well polished though and fun idea!
Very fun game! Tetris is such a classic that it can be hard to innovate with it, but you did it! It looks like tetris, it feels like tetris, but if you think like you're playing tetris you'll lose very quick! Very good work!
I love to play online games and I am very addicted to [geometry dash](https://geometrydashlite.io) game. Has anyone played this game yet? It is currently having a new full-screen play that is extremely addictive.
