Managed to get 65 points.
Is a nice solitaire. It could benefit from some sort of ranking and objective in collecting points
Nice Job
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Just-one-more-tile miner

Nice Job
A very interesting card game, well done!
That was pretty fun! I got a game over before I could even start playing, but nothing a quick refresh didn't fix! Nice game!
@kel Thanks! Yeah, there is a (albeit small) chance that the game starts out in a no-move-possible situation. I don't know how the QA department didn't catch that!
This was easy to learn, but very satisfying to play! i liked making winding streets! Well done.
It's cool to see a card game here! I got 65 points as well :) For some reason every path I tried building stopped; I didn't get why that was. :fish:
Woa a very good concept, I would have never thought of a card game with this theme GG nice work
@lumue You probably reached the end of the card stack (top left value went to zero), so the game couldn't draw any new cards. I agree that game doesn't really inform about that very well
Satisfying and interesting concept! I wonder how this game would look with a competitive multiplayer system?
Cool proof of concept! I made it to the end of my deck of cards and enjoyed puzzling about how to build my mine.
This is a great concept, I really enjoyed playing once I finally figured out the rules. It took me 2-3 rounds to actually figure out the rules, it might be worthwhile to change 2. to "value of hand card must be greater than or equal to cost of the field card" or something. Nice job!
@totteriludum Multiplayer is an interesting thought for the game. It would be a complete different angle in thinking about its simple mechanics.
@loginaut Thanks for the hint, thats a mistake in our rule description. Your rule description is also more clear than ours.
Nice work. I enjoyed playing.
I found the concept of cost and value being not tied to effect a bit confusing at first (I assumed that like a card game, each effect has its unique value and cost). Some more visual feedback to indicate placing a tile would also have improved the experience a lot. Still a very enjoyable and unique take on the theme though, I liked playing it.
You should also consider making this an infinite game - it would be really fun to kill time on a phone with this!
Interesting little puzzler! I could see this expanded upon to make a nice, compact game. At the moment, the balancing of the cards seems a little off, and maybe the hand size and play area a bit too small, but those could be adjusted and improved if you were planning to do that :)
Branching was a cool little mechanic to expand your play options, which I found about almost accidentally. I think having some animations to better explain the flow of the game would help in that regard, and in general when starting to play; the rules are a bit unintuitive in my opinion, even after having read them.
Really clever idea and interesting gameplay!
I really enjoyed the game, it reminded me of a board game that I played with some friends a while ago, and I was very happy with the feeling I had. Congratulations, great job!
Good job Tod 'n' Zorf, I think this is the first card game I've played since I lost 300 quid at poker in 1995
Cool card game, can definitely be expanded on. Nice job!
Very interesting puzzle. It takes some time to get the gist of it, but once you do, it's really fun to play. I like unusual mechanics like this and I enjoyed playing it. If you add some feedback (visual and sound) to what's happening in the game and create a descent help screen, the game could transform into a nice commercial product.
Great concept, it took me some time to figure out exactly what to do, and how everything works, but after that it was a nice puzzle!
I think some more work on feedback to the player will really make it come alive! Things like sound effects, particles, preview of what will happen once I place something, cards that cannot be played should be grayed out.
Nice card mechanic it take me more time than I would like to admit to figure it out.
Doh either I didn't understand a part of the game or it was a bug a at some point every tiles I placed were dead ends even if the card wasn't one...
