LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Just Down Jack by joewan 2021-04-29T07:51:58Z

Really like the idea of horizontal movement only and the controls feel pretty good, which makes momentum important. I'm not completely sold on powerups being both good and bad (so far, I didn't find the positive benefits good enough to make it worth risking), but it is a good way to mix up the gameplay regardless. A common idea but executed competently. Great work!

Just-one-more-tile miner by zorfmorf 2021-04-29T09:01:58Z

I found the concept of cost and value being not tied to effect a bit confusing at first (I assumed that like a card game, each effect has its unique value and cost). Some more visual feedback to indicate placing a tile would also have improved the experience a lot. Still a very enjoyable and unique take on the theme though, I liked playing it.

You should also consider making this an infinite game - it would be really fun to kill time on a phone with this!

Deeper Well by Feraligatr 2021-04-29T08:25:00Z

Well that was a deep game (ba dum tss). I loved the unique approach to the theme, but wish it was better represented graphically (perhaps with a 2.5D perspective, showing the well going deeper). More visual representation of resource gain in general would help, as I didn't understand how resource gaining worked until a while in. I also wished there was more consequence to the location of structures - like if buildings needed a path to the well.

Wish the game luck!

PS: more well puns would've been nice.

Deep Space Janitor by kristof 2021-04-29T09:09:56Z

Liked the theme and the idea of a persistent environment travelling deep into space. If the game continued indefinitely (year goes higher and higher, perhaps with randomized tasks and invaders), the gameplay would definitely become more engaging.

Little Boy Commits WarCrimes Against Nature by Yahay 2021-04-29T08:05:11Z

A pretty good puzzle idea. Wish the bomb physics was less janky, as the last level felt more frustrating than difficult.
