Really fun novel concept! I liked the jumps forward in time as a mechanic for levels, it felt natural and added a bit of humour to the game.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Deep Space Janitor

TODO: review game
This reminds me of a single-player version of Among Us. It would be cool to have to balance the tasks with fighting the enemies to make the game more frantic. Cool game!
At the beggining the aim system (for shooting I mean) can be weird, but after some ennemies defeated it's not that bad ! Even if the graphics are quite simple The game is fun ! If i have just one thing to say is that sometimes the tasks can slow the gameplay. Good job overall !
Love the mood that game creates! Great job!
Awesome game! Love it
I liked the implication that tasks like watering plants and fending off intruders are in the same level of importance, makes sense for a robot protagonist haha. Also, this does sell a good mood. Good job on the entry!
Lovely little 3D game, u got some basic“s within there and a great and funny story line - overall i really liked your entry for the compo a lot.
I feel like the only thing I was able to shoot... was my self. This game truly was quite deep.
@craig-cordeiro Thanks for playing! Hm, sounds like you hit a bug? May I ask, which browser did you try? Edit: I think I may have found the bug. Thanks for your feedback!
When I saw the title I was wondering if it'd be related to "Space Quest". Game is just the right length for a jam game. Graphics, while simple, did their job. The sound that was there was good, but a little more would help (even am ambient humming, noise coming from the ships machinery, to set the atmosphere). At least with my mouse, the sensitivity was way too high. I'd try to slightly turn and would do a 360. It'd be helpful to have an options menu for adjustments. I like that the enemies would chase you when you got close. It's a step above the most basic AI but more than you'll typically see in these. Last suggestion I'd have is something to emphasize the time/distance passed between levels. Like maybe a fake loading screen between levels that shows the ship on a map of space, and show how far it's gone during that time? Windows on the ship that show different anomalies outside could emphasize that you're no longer in the same place.
Liked the theme and the idea of a persistent environment travelling deep into space. If the game continued indefinitely (year goes higher and higher, perhaps with randomized tasks and invaders), the gameplay would definitely become more engaging.
Ha! I really appreciate the unashamed simplicity of this game. You didn't let limitations stop you from making an entertaining game.
I enjoyed this game! Very simplistic in graphics and gameplay but had some charm to it. I did laugh when Mary and Peter (I think?) died. Also I think plants need watering a bit more often than every few thousand years. Nice job!
I like it. It might be a bit too easy but everything works as you'd expect and for some reason I got some Among US vibes from doing the chores. Nice work!
The simplicity of this game was endearing to me. You managed to make me care for the crew even though I never even got to see them. Sound design was on point aswell.
A little bit of atmospheric music would have been nice, but it was a good experience anyway. Good job!
Didn't like the controls/camera angle, but boy it made me sad to see Lucy dead. I had no idea what was going on until i checked her vitals...
didn't think a ludum dare game would make me feel like that! great work!
Great job!
The combat is fun. The mission that was to just water the plans was a bit dull. Might have been better right at the beginning.
You mentioned C++/WebGL. Did you build your own engine? If so, well done!
Nicely done, while being pretty simple, I liked the gameplay. It was a fun mix between relaxing and engaging combat. First, I was a little bit disappointed by the graphics, because they are really simple. Then I thought again and I realized that robots probably see like this, they don't need no fancy stuff, just simple major geometry to find their ways.
controlls are good. game had a good length. the end screen could have been a bit differnt I almost looped the game without knowing.
To start with the visuals for the game were a bit bare boned but I could see what you were going for. The audio was really rough, some sounds were very loud or cut out weirdly. The gameplay itself was ok, sort of just walk to a location or shoot robots. Overall the game itself works, the concept is there, and its not a bad entry to the compo.
Nice little game, good balance between the down time to the fighting time. It reminds me of those retro 3d games. while its simple it's fun.
I like the overall simplicity of the game. I'm glad that it had audio but I found the audio to be abrasive at times. The controls feel very natural.
