The Great Sinker by LordMiji 2021-04-26T20:09:40Z

I think the visuals for this game were really unique but worked really well! The particles were also very satisfyingly. The gameplay was very simple but still kept me entertained for awhile, although I think it needed more challenge. It didn't seem to be getting much harder over time (if at all) and the amount of health given to us was very high. For the sound I think the sound effects were decent and helped a lot but the game could have used some music.

drillerROBOT by Yamzho 2021-05-12T20:35:06Z

Not as complicated as it seemed at first but still a neat game. I think the art was a bit basic but it works here. The music was good and fit the slow pace of the game. The gameplay itself was enjoyable, making me think about what my next move was. There was a good variety of cards, but I think it could have used a greater variety of blocks/ores in the ground. It also requires a lot of reading before you can play and understand the game which can turn some people away (especially in a game jam). Overall this was a really well made game, and a great entry!

Parasite by Thijs Tak 2021-05-09T21:32:15Z

I like the games sense if perspective and scale. The graphics are really nice, I like the use of modeling here. As for the gameplay, its simple but works. I think having dialog set to enter was a bit of a weird choice for mouse/keyboard controls because you have to let go of the mouse (not really a big deal), and there were other minor things that could have used polish like the camera going out of bounds and the cutscene issues when exiting the cave. I also think sounds could have gone a long way to build some atmosphere but I'm sure you know that. Overall, this was a great game and a really cool experience.

Inks by mahalis 2021-05-09T21:41:18Z

As others have stated before this game is really pretty, even if it is short and simple. Along with the cool visuals, the music works here and the sounds are nice touches. The gameplay itself is basic but clean and engaging. I wish there was more to the game, but overall this is a great entry.

Deep Sausage Madness by Ommadawn 2021-05-09T16:47:56Z

As some have stated before me, this was interesting. Unfortunately I was not able to play this with other people but it seems like it would be a great local multiplayer game. I think the art was good, a little rough but has some charm to it. The music wasn't terrible, and the little sound effects helped make the actions feel a bit more impactful. The gameplay itself was really basic, but still effective and engaging. I do think some obstacles were a bit much, sometimes my buttons were completely off screen or really hard to tell which was first/last when it rotated. Overall a great game and a better entry.

Despair by blaster391 2021-04-28T23:24:54Z

I can say with confidence that this game was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect it to be so thought out and polished based of the initial looks. That being said this game does have some rough are and a lot of "Pop-ins" during gameplay where stuff just appears (like enemies when entering rooms). Although the music is really well done and the sounds are simple but get the point across. The gameplay does feel a bit slow, lacking much variety and I think knowing what the powerups would be ahead of time would have led to more interesting decision making. Overall this is a great entry to the compo.

Micronaut by healthire 2021-05-12T16:19:44Z

This is a neat idea! There isn't a lot to the audio or visuals but what is here is good. I like how clean the transition is between boxes, and considering how much it happens it's important to get it right. The gameplay felt good, but it was hard to tell what I was supposed to be doing at times because I could barely see into the small boxes. Overall this is a great entry!

Touchdown by Paul Nadan 2021-05-11T09:10:42Z

Really cool idea! The art is really well made and makes this game stand out. The music is really good and works well for a game like this. There weren't to many sound effects but the ones that are there fit. The gameplay itself was simple but evolved and kept things interesting. Overall this is a really polished and well made game and a solid entry.

Save Her by CrumblyBread 2021-04-26T20:29:17Z

I think the game has a super cool idea. The art serves its purpose and the intro cutscene is "different" but not bad. I think sounds would have helped a lot because it was hard to keep track of things when the only way to do so was turning to face the bars of data. Also, I noticed you implemented full first-person movement, but I think the game was better when you didn't move at all and just turned to face everything. Overall not a bad entry, you just needed more time to polish it up.

trabitboy_ld_48 by trabitboy 2021-04-27T22:44:44Z

I can 100% see what you were going for with this. When talking about the games sound and art, the art is a bit rough but has some charm to it, and sound effects and music could have helped a lot. As for the gameplay, its a bit clunky but it all functioned and I think the high shooting rate makes it feel satisfying to blow enemies up. Overall not a bad entry, keep up the good work!

Path to Tribute by machrom 2021-04-30T09:03:09Z

Overall the game was interesting but could be improved in some areas. The games music wasn't bad at all, it felt like it fit the game and wasn't annoying or anything. As for the art I really liked it. There's not a lot of art overall but what is there looks good. When it comes to the gameplay it is a neat idea and it seems to work, but lacks a lot of visual feedback. I was never really sure if my towers were doing much, how roads were helping, or why I would lose. Overall the game was still enjoyable and a great entry!

all the king's men by otresnjak 2021-04-30T18:37:03Z

A very simple but very eloquent game. The song fits the mood and brings it together. The art is minimalistic but works here. And the story is a simple one but is relatable for many people and has a solid mood to back it up. The gameplay itself isn't bad either, although the gameplay didn't evolve much and I think the mechanics had a lot of potential that could have been reached with more in depth levels. Overall this game was still a great experience and a great entry.

Dokiss Space Explorers by R2D48 2021-05-10T20:42:09Z

This was an interesting game. I like the visuals and think all the different people look cool, although I think more details in the backgrounds could have helped. The main song that plays while in space was good, but the other song was very different and felt a little off compared to the rest of the game. The gameplay itself was very simple and I think relied a bit to much on RNG but it was still enjoyable. Overall this was a polished game and a great entry.

The Red Crystal by Bastienre4 2021-04-27T18:23:59Z

The game is visually really good and has great atmosphere. The audio was also pretty well made but I think it was a bit lacking when it comes to things going on around the player. As for gameplay the movement was clunky and the player didn't stop right away when I let go, and there wasn't much besides exploring. Overall not a bad entry.

Deep Dark Discoveries by shp 2021-05-09T17:01:34Z

This is one of the most polished games I have seen so far! I really like the art style and just how clean everything is. The music is well made and the little sounds help give more impact to everything. The gameplay itself is basic but works really well and was a lot of fun. I think making the jet a bit stronger (at least vertically) would have helped because it would have allowed the player to get to some higher falling speeds. I liked the way the enemies looked but never really felt threatened by them. (I made it to about 1700 and only saw a couple red ones but mostly dropped right past them, if there's anything past that I apologize). Overall this was a great game and a great entry.

Deep into the mine by BubakGames 2021-04-29T00:19:29Z

This game is very simple but that's not always a bad thing. I think some music could have helped a lot, and many of the sounds feel weak or don't have a "Punch" to them. The art is also a little rough, but it has its own kind of charm. The gameplay could use some polish, and I think zooming out the camera would have helped a lot. Overall, this still is a great entry!

How deep is this rabbit hole anyway? by snesgaard 2021-05-09T16:38:19Z

This was a fun little experience. The art was really well made and helped the game a lot, although some sounds and music could have done a lot for the game. As for the gameplay, losing all momentum when using the explosions made the game feel a little clunky. Overall, this was still a well made game and a good entry.

Compulsive Diggers by Rolly 2021-04-27T18:11:33Z

This game was incredibly well made! The music is really nice and all the sound effects fit wall. I really like how you did the art. The combination of low poly and pixel art worked out. As for the gameplay it was very unique and interesting. It kept me entertained for a long time, but it would get a bit tedious towards the end instead of intense. Overall this was an excellent entry.

Dive To China by SoarenDev 2021-05-02T00:14:55Z

To start with the game had a great song to help create a fun atmosphere and the visuals while basic worked in this context. The gameplay itself was really basic and could have used some more polish or features to make it more interesting. Overall not a bad submissions to the compo.

Deeper&Deeper LLC by armytag 2021-04-27T02:03:00Z

I like the concept. The sounds are great and the music is pretty good. I do think it gets repetitive a bit fast, and it can feel clunky. The art looks great and overall not a bad entry!

Drills and Gadgets by RNGames 2021-04-27T22:54:39Z

This game is incredibly polished! I really like the art, it is basic but really charming and works great for this kind of game. The sounds are all really enjoyable and fit the game well. The gameplay is somewhat addicting and a lot of fun, but does seem to lack some depth. Overall this was a great entry!

Final Exam by nodice 2021-04-29T17:54:22Z

Like everyone else said it was quite short, but it was interesting and a neat idea. I like the way the art looks and the sound effects work. I think some basic music would have helped build the mood a lot. There's not much to say about the gameplay but overall its a neat entry.

The Super Futuristic Shrinking Veterinarians by jogy34 2021-04-28T23:43:56Z

This is a neat take on the theme. I think visually it looks great and the music/sounds are fitting and get the job done well. The gameplay is a bit awkward, the shooting is really slow and not very satisfying to use, and the obstacle sections with the purple things is hard to read and feels a bit cheap to die to sometimes. Although, The platforming sections were well made and fun to jump through. I found myself lost a lot and could never tell where I "Should" have gone. Overall this was still a great game to play through and a great entry

Not deepest dungeon by Lichead studio 2021-05-10T22:26:04Z

I think this is an interesting game. I think the art/models have some charm, and the music is alright. The sound effects fit for the most part and help the player know what's going on. The gameplay itself is satisfying when attacking, but the movement is a bit clunky (but that's just how tank controls feel in general). There were some things that could have used a bit more polish (like the camera going through walls, and collision with enemies feeling off), but overall this is a solid entry.

Deep Below Ground by v0idpointer 2021-05-11T09:24:02Z

This was quite an ambitious game for a jam! Each spell had a lot of thought put into it, and the game had more to it than there initially seems. I think the art is alright, but animations are clunky and could use work. I think music could have helped a lot, and the sounds are a bit rough, often feeling jarring. The gameplay itself is neat but could use polish to really bring it to life. Overall this was still a lot of fun and a good entry!

Deep Space Janitor by kristof 2021-05-02T00:06:33Z

To start with the visuals for the game were a bit bare boned but I could see what you were going for. The audio was really rough, some sounds were very loud or cut out weirdly. The gameplay itself was ok, sort of just walk to a location or shoot robots. Overall the game itself works, the concept is there, and its not a bad entry to the compo.

Gold Digger by ThatmanRobin 2021-04-28T19:59:15Z

This game is something different alright. It was a lot of fun smashing through rocks when I was able to. Personally I think the overheating mechanic slowed the game down without adding to much. But when I did get to just hold forward with the drill on it was super satisfyingly. The sounds and music are really fun additions and the visuals might be rough but they have some charm. Overall this was a good entry.

Kurou's mind fights by NoCymer 2021-04-29T18:12:20Z

The art for this game is really good! I think the music was a little rough but got the job done and the sounds work well. The gameplay is a bit slow, I think having different jump heights based on how long the player holds space would make the platforming feel a bit better. The combat was probably the roughest part. When attacking it was hard to tell when it would work. Overall this was an interesting idea and a good entry.

Acceptance by wooliii 2021-04-28T20:10:52Z

This game hits different. The music is slow and really relaxing, and the gameplay follows the same feelings. I think the art is a bit rough but sort of works with the abstract feeling. The game itself feels a bit slow, the way the character moves and the text make everything a bit sluggish. Overall still a great game and a great entry!

Overdrilled by Slagywag 2021-04-28T20:45:21Z

I really like the concept here! I like the idea of maintaining this drill and keeping everything moving. I think the art was a bit rough due to the lack of animations on things. The lack of music or sounds made it less interesting and satisfyingly. Although, the gameplay all worked alright and was cool for awhile. I think moving the drill felt pointless because you ran into pockets as much as you need to anyways, and it takes so long it is not worth it usually. Overall this entry wasn't to bad.

Deep Sleep by Brad Make Games 2021-04-30T18:22:54Z

@escapade I don't mind at all, I'm just glad to see you didn't give up made it to the end. The game was a bit difficult by design, and it actually does make itself a bit easier if the player dies a few times (don't think anybody caught on to that so far)

Deep Sleep by Brad Make Games 2021-05-11T18:49:52Z

@youk @tangiblegames Thank you for the kind words. I apologize for the difficulty. I wanted to make it easier and I've seen other entries change difficulty post submission time, but I personally don't like touching the game at all after submissions end.

The Deepest Booze by mechamew 2021-05-01T23:58:46Z

Visually the game looked good. The music was nice but some sound effects could have helped a lot. Overall the game was polished and not a bad entry.

Yet Another Shmup by AssertFailure 2021-04-29T22:33:00Z

I want to start by saying that the art for this game is really good! I think adding music would have helped the game out a lot in the long run. Although, the sound effects all worked well. The gameplay was fun, but I think the movement was a bit awkward and not satisfying to use. The way it slowed down as it got close to the mouse made it hard to get the ship to do any kind of precise movements, and anything near the edge of the screen was very difficult. Overall this was a solid entry and a great game.

Deeper in Debt by NorthernDonut 2021-04-26T20:37:40Z

The game is very basic, but that doesn't make it bad! I think it could have been more interesting with sounds, but in a game jam you don't always have the time. The visuals are nothing special but they have charm to them. I think showing the value of items ahead of time could have helped. I didn't notice them at first (Because I was busy clicking on food) and when I saw them on my second attempt I realized I wasted time clicking on tacos thinking they were worth more (due to them falling faster). Overall this was a simple but entertaining entry!

Caves of the Forgotten by CorbenG 2021-04-26T19:57:41Z

For your first game jam this is really good! I think everyone who plays it will agree that this game has really good visuals. As for the gameplay, I think the idea was there and it all works well, I just think it was a bit sluggish and didn't quite expand on the idea enough. When it comes to sound all the sound effects fit and helped the game a lot, although I think music could have helped. Overall not a bad submission.

Boomerang Basement Brawl by rhitakorrr 2021-04-30T19:42:27Z

This was a very simple but enjoyable game. The art wasn't bad but could have used more animations/polish. Although it still had its own kind of charm. The music wasn't perfect but fit the wacky atmosphere and helped the game out. Sound effects were good and helped the player know what's going on. The gameplay itself was decent. It had a few bugs, (get it) where the boomerang would get stuck behind things and you couldn't throw it if you were standing by a wall. I also think the player moved a bit fast making it hard to control, and enemies would get hit but not take damage right after spawning. Overall still a fun game and a great entry!
