A little quirky, but fun! For some reason, the explosion repeats on death, which is a little weird, but minor. The game could do a lot with a little audio, for the explosion, or for music, but the art is great!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → How deep is this rabbit hole anyway?

I love the gameplay and visual effects! The random effect system is really well done and was a nice touch. All and all a great game, could use sound effects though.
Pretty fun game! Anyone else pressed 'that' straight away?
The gameplay and the visual were really great, but like my fellow comrades, the fact that the game has not sound make it a little off :/ To be honest, I played it a little and absolutly didn't understand the "twist". If I understand it correctly, it's here to make the game more interesting, and increase the difficulty. But it's so random that I don't really enjoy it. I would have prefer the game to be more linear, but who I am to tell you what to do. If you really like this "twist", you probably should had something like the bar on the left that help to understand when will the game be *censored*. (If you have already, sorry, didn't see it)
Great game though, loved it <3
@smoothi3 @windzyboy @jeffez Thanks for your feedback and playing :)
Agree some sound would go a long way, but am afraid sound design is not my strongest suit. Did consider making explosion sounds by shouting into a microphone. But then again, the game is evil/trolly enough as is XD
@sugarsugarsugar I specifically told you not to do that ;)
@jeffez Yes the twist is there to add difficulty (and maybe also to troll people a bit:D). Like to think of it, as the way difficulty is handled in Risk of rain.
And agree with you that there probably should be something to indicate the connection between the "evil" meter and the screen modifiers. But you know how it is with LD and time management :sob:
Nice game! I liked the graphics and randomaly selected levels, even though they repeated after a while. The weird effects are also an interesting "punishment". I feel like a proper death screen and high score display would go a long way, but nevertheless, it was very fun! My high score is (if I remember correctly) 318.
great graphics and game itself but when camera turns I always die)
Great game! π but It's a pity you can't play online(
Sadness, there are cute rabbits and explosions, but no sound effects, nor fast-paced music. :'(
I love your pixel art, your rabbit and the dynamite on its back are gorgeous! The gameplay is quite simple, but the special effects are a nice touch!
Good job!
I love that pixel art design, and good, very smooth controls. It would improve with sound !. I hope no rabbits were harmed haha.
Cool entry, the visuals were cute but more importantly they were very clear, the use of a black background really help everything be quickly understandable great work, the controls felt great. Wish there was sound but thats just how game jams go. Again fun entry!
Very goofy and fun. Very flappy bird type controls. The hourglass effects were pretty fun but they killed me every time lol. Nicely done!
I like the art, the smoke clouds are really nice. The gameplay is pretty fun too but it lacks some polish especially sound. The punishment system is neat but it would probably benefit from some clearer warning before they happen.
@javicoder O-of course no rabbits were harmed! What kind of crazy person would something like that!?
Thanks for your feedback everyone! Seems some sounds would go a long way to enhance the experience, so will definitely prioritize that for next time!

Love the gfx, the art and the feel off the theme! Well done for such a short period of time. The effects are really fun.
Some effects are a bit too random for my taste and makes it a bit difficult to know what is really happening (oh, did I die? What? Noo...the meters keeps ticking hmmm)
Also as had been said before, sound would have been nice :-) And yes, it is possible to use the microphone and shout. I did that on my game.... Yeah I know, game jams really stress you out for time...
I also pressed the button I shouldn't, of course. Why else would you write something like that?
I got down to 429 before my rabbit screamed for mercy. :rabbit2: Thanks for making it and making us experience it!
Very addicting! I like the art style a lot, and the movement mechanics / controls feel refreshing, unique. I'm terrible at this kind of game, though, only got to ~472m
@xpoho I have no idea what you said, dude, but hope you enjoyed yourself :)
@rolle Yeah I guess some better communication regarding events and when the game actually ends would go a long way!
@pijamar Haha don't worry I'm also terrible at these kinds of games, got about 805m. My friend somehow managed to go 1300m, which I still don't understand how he did. :D
Interesting... That spinning around of the screen is super disorienting. Great art and interesting concept. I like the repeatable levels but some more variety would be nice. Great job overall
@cavedens Ah yes it is disorienting because I like to ~~see people suffer~~ create challenging game mechanics
Fun and cute. Got to 798m. My strat for the spinning screen was to just hang out in an open area until it was over, which worked until the screen started spinning infinitely. Not sure if the infinite spinning + censor bar at the same time was intended, but it sure killed me effectively!
You are such a criminal with the camera spin , I have no Idea how, but I managed to get to 1018.
I like the graphics and the gameplay was hard and very fun. Also very interesting mechanics.
Great game, good job.

@rhitakorrr Weeeeeeeell yes, it's my way of making sure the game ends at some point, so you can move on
@mololo Thanks and that's impressive!
Nice game! I have an unhealthy attraction towards "don't press me" buttons! I tryed to run the game from the source (I'm on a mac) but failed: love said something about not finding the "nodework" module, and the nodework folder was indeed empty. Probably I'm just missing something (I'm really not an expert) but I thought I should let you know anyways. I managed to run the game on my mac from the linux build, though (opening the game.zip file with the love app was all I needed to do).
@phlebas Ah good to hear! Nodeworks is a submodule which can be checked out with a git submodule update --init --recursive. But even with that running from source also requires aseprite and some python modules to build assets (texture atlases etc.). So running from *.zip file was probably the best solution :)
Nice game, basic idea. I have never saw an exploding rabbit before. :) The random effects are not giving anything to the game, just making it unplayable. Sad, it could be a good thing.
I didn't understand the rotating function and also when and why a grey square apeared. But the gameplay was fun and I loved the juicy controls. The way you exploded to each side felt really responcive and also how you always slowed down a little bit at each explosion so you had time to know where to shoot next. It took a bit long to start and i couldn't change the size of the windowframe, so sometimes I didn't see far enough to the bottom, and realized to late, that I got in trouble. An overall bigger view could help. But really funny idea and strong mainmechanic. Thumbs up!
@snesgaard nothing wrong with enjoying other people suffer if its all in good fun :D
This was a fun little experience. The art was really well made and helped the game a lot, although some sounds and music could have done a lot for the game. As for the gameplay, losing all momentum when using the explosions made the game feel a little clunky. Overall, this was still a well made game and a good entry.
