Thanks to anyone for playing and leaving feedback !

Love the Graphics and the original idea however it’s gameplay could be a bit better... well done!

-:First of all you need to make fullscreen on Itch.io. I have a large monitor and the text in your game is unreadable. Secondly the colors of your game are annoying a little. Gameplay is't new.

+: Music is really relax.

wooliii 2021-04-26 07:41

@Anonymous and @jack-woodcock yah totally. If you read the postmortem, you'll see that I mainly had time to spend on getting the engine built, and was limited on actually setting up difficult levels. Thanks for the feedback !

Nice take on a classic puzzle game. I am not sure I did the tutorial level right ! The mood (colors and music) are very nice, I was unsettled as If I was really going to the shrink :)

adamsmccall 2021-04-26 07:45

Nice interpretation of the theme ! Nice story as well, makes me want to finish the levels as quickly as possible so I can get the next bit. And the music is definitely slappin'

I think the movement of the character is a bit too slow though, but that's a detail.

gilborn 2021-04-26 07:46

Great fitting sound and a unique approach on the theme. The game itself sadly ended when the Levels got challenging, but for a Ludum Dare it is much content! The Graphics are working, the shadows are very cool! Would have been great to have some mechanics around it. Overall a very nice game, with lots of story. Good job!

wooliii 2021-04-26 07:51

@adamsmccall Thank you for the feedback ! The idea is for the movement to be tweened to the beat of the music, so thank you for pointing out that it feels slow as is.

@gilborn thanks for the feedback ! I'm bummed that the levels had to be so simple for the Compo entry, but I really just wanted it to be the framework for the larger piece. I definitely have some fun mechanics in mind, and will keep you updated for a v2.0 !

I didn't play all the way through but maybe about 4 puzzles in. Well done. A lot of work for 48 hours! I liked the difficulty ramp up in the puzzles I played. The last one I tried was actually tricky! I found it a little frustrating at times that when the character tweened to its new position, I was clicking for the next position but it didn't respond. It could be improved by having a snappier input scheme for the movement. Keep up the good work. Would be good to see a more polished version one day.

This was one of the most surreal games from ludum dare I've played. I've played through all the puzzles just enjoying watching the smooth movement and lighting, yea, and music is a very nice touch too. Very relaxing game actually.

Love the concept. The mood was remarkably tense. Music was beautiful. Graphics were simple, but they did their job. I found myself expecting a big reveal of some kind, and was a tad let down when that didn't happen.

Overall it was an intriguing piece. Good work!

bubakgames 2021-04-26 18:55

I like the idea. You create some interesting puzzles. The music is creating a great atmosphere.

phthalogold 2021-04-27 00:20

I loved this - an nice puzzle game with a great atmosphere and an engaging narrative/themtic premise. I would love to see an expanded version of the game. The text was a bit weirdly spaced at times (the player character's dialogue would have uneven letter spacing). Otherwise, great game!

ambear 2021-04-27 09:39

I enjoyed the idea of the game, but story needs to be more specific! And more and more and more levels! And something wrong with the sound actually, it was cracled.. maybe that is part of music? haha Good job by the way!

whatfruit 2021-04-27 20:08

Really like the music done for this, it goes well with the whole hypnosis angle. Movement/response feels a little slow, but the puzzle difficulty ramped up well. Nice work!

dob 2021-04-28 04:11

Very cool music, and the text and concept are really great - nice feel and mood. The gameplay is a little simple, but the puzzles are interesting, and the lighting effect is really neat. Nice work!

Wow, absolutely loved the experience! Difficulty progression was perfect, with a couple minutes spent on the last level. Music track was beautiful. Wished the character would move faster as I'd rather think the level through before I start moving, and then I just want to spam click to execute. Also really wished there was a deeper plot to the storyline, like if it had been revealed what had happened.

brad-make-games 2021-04-28 20:10

This game hits different. The music is slow and really relaxing, and the gameplay follows the same feelings. I think the art is a bit rough but sort of works with the abstract feeling. The game itself feels a bit slow, the way the character moves and the text make everything a bit sluggish. Overall still a great game and a great entry!

paulhocker 2021-04-29 16:41

a very interesting twist on the theme that works well. the gameplay was very simple but it works very well here. nice job. thanks for making it. #gogodot

caveman54 2021-05-02 03:25

It was very enjoyable. The mechanic was fun but it felt that the animation was a bit slow. Great entry!

pxlshk 2021-05-02 07:43

would've liked a way to move faster, and having to click the "go deeper" button twice between levels was a bit annoying, but otherwise the controls felt good and the story was interesting

felo07 2021-05-08 04:03

Ok, nice way to put some words and thoughts away. Nice music, maybe to change the UI, do something more refined. Interesting ideia for a game, good stuff!

After I was instructed to wake up I woke up again! Inception intensifies. Had to do it again, but whatever.

I enjoyed it very much and especially liked how you turned the menu elements next level restart and exit into in game lore. I would also like to praise you for the game length. You were spot on the place where I am not tired of the game and still craving for more.
