The link on itch.io is broken. I can't test your game.

bubakgames 2021-04-26 08:19

My itch.io page should be fixed. I've forgotten set my page as public.

ruslanch 2021-04-26 08:38

no bad

dhim 2021-04-26 08:52

Sad, I am on mac. Notify me if you can have it running again

thoastbot 2021-04-26 09:11

I REALY like the idea with the Volumebar - genius! But overall its a basic cave game, not bad but also not that inovative.

Got down to 198m, anyone beat me? ;P

lisyarus 2021-04-26 09:58

A simple & nice concept. Would be cool to have a visual indication of impact when you hit the enemy. A larger view box would also help, since right now it's a little hard to navigate around. Got down to 186m. Nice job!

effarek 2021-04-26 10:03

Got down to 353m ! The spiders are very fast, they finally got me

crazy32 2021-04-26 12:53

Quite a nice game. And you commented me that my itch io page is not public so now its fixed.

hpa97 2021-04-26 15:02

Fun game, I enjoyed the reload animation! Good job

silkworm-sweatshop 2021-04-26 15:28

Haha, the volume bar was a nice touch. I think the biggest problem here is the lack of feedback. There is some audio feedback when shooting enemies but I want more, some visuals, maybe knockback. Knockback would ease up on the difficulty as well. Enemies rush at you fast and sometimes avoiding damage seems impossible. Physics could use some work too. Generally movements feel better with some acceleration, especially adding some gravity to the jumps. Graphics are simple but has some charm, I like the little ghost dude.

This did not work when downloading through itch desktop app. Would like to see download fixed or web version.

dergamer 2021-04-26 19:47

Very nice game I only got to 150m on my best try, I can only agree silkworm, but the volume slider was a very nice implementation of the sound setting

timon 2021-04-26 20:07

Small details like the reload animation and the light from torches pulsing were really nice, great job!

poorwill 2021-04-26 20:13

Lovely! Always keep working on your programming, art, sound. See what other games are doing that you like and try to dissect them. Why are they so great?

Whatever feeling you got that made you create the in world volume slider - trust it, cherish it, listen to it.

wuppos 2021-04-26 20:44

Thanks for this game! This was fun :D Those spiders are really terrifying! I made it to around 250m. As a little point of feedback, I think it would be cool if there was a bit more feedback to the player. Like little explosions when you hit an enemy, or screenshakes Anyway, good luck with any other games you will be making!

bassguitarbill 2021-04-26 20:54

image_2021-04-26_165243.pngAt about 115m down, you can sneak out of this wall and fall forever!

psv-games-studio 2021-04-26 21:15

Fun game, I understand that it was done in a short time but could have more feedback, for example when it hits the enemy it turns red or goes backwards. The idea is not so innovative because it is a classic cave explorer. But it's fun!

assertfailure 2021-04-26 21:26

A decent, simple game. Very easy to get into. The physics and collision detection are pretty wonky and there's very little feedback from hitting enemies or taking damage etc. Everything looks very big and zoomed-in, and the black text top-right is quite hard to read. But still, I played this multiple rounds and it was quite amusing and charming, nice job :)

sevkron 2021-04-26 21:41

The hilarity of a ghost with a gun gets to me. Here's this cute little handdrawn aesthetic and then there's a straight up Colt 1911. Is he shooting ghost bullets? If so do they penetrate physical objects like real ones? Do they need a liscence to carry one? Needs work in the gameplay, a right mouse click to reload would be nice. Spiders are too fast!

asdehielo 2021-04-27 00:51

The graphics were really funny. I also liked the illumination, it does capture the atmosphere of a mine.

The biggest problem for me was the jump, it was way too fast and didn't feel satisfying to use. Still, I liked it enough to play a few times and I managed to reach 300m. Those damn spiders!

saintchristopher777 2021-04-27 01:30

Haha, poor little gun-toting ghost, you didn't deserve to die so many times to spiders!

Cool idea! I didn't get far, but I'm pretty bad a sidescrollers in general. Is there a quit option anywhere? I had to alt-f4.

valid 2021-04-27 06:46

This was cute. The art was charming and I enjoyed the gunplay.

thegreenworm 2021-04-27 08:51

Went about 150m down, my thoughts:

Spiders are way too fast/takes too much ammo to kill. I got hit every time I saw one before I could do anything to prevent it from attacking me.

Jump is a little too quick. I also got stuck multiple time on the terrain (on slopes where you can stand between a rock and a mine cart)

Graphics and sound were ok

I like the gun animations

mahjoub 2021-04-27 10:43

Nice game with funny movement, went down to 100meters and died couple of time mostly by spiders

Cute character

WeUMFbQ9eF.png

Just wondering: how a ghost could hold something hmm..? :ghost:

bytinggames 2021-04-27 13:20

When I figured, that I needed to kill the enemies the game became quite fun and I tried it a few times (a hint to require killing them would be nice). Reached 197 meters. I like that the levels are randomly ordered, at least I think that's what happening. The light effects set up for a little bit moody atmosphere. A sound effect for getting hit would also help for identifiying how exactly the enemy attacks work. But I just noticed the spider attack animatino, which is nice. The controls are a bit wonky, but I guess you already know that. It's good that there is a button hover sound, but the exact sound is a bit annoying. At first I was a little bit put off by the title font, maybe it would be better to also have it be drawn in the "You died" font. I actually liked the ammo restriction, cause it creates tension. Overall I like it, especially because the best aspect was the gameplay for me :D Ah and one thing: sometimes I teleported down, when I killed all the enemies, don't know what that was about.

jakobthequizguy 2021-04-28 01:15

The graphics are super simple but you put the time into building a proper environment with details like mine carts and support beams, which enhanced the mood quite a bit! The camera could've been more zoomed out - as it is right now it feels a bit cramped. The movement and especially the jump physics could use some improvement, as could the collision, I got stuck between the ground and a mine cart once and couldn't get out. I like the reload animation and the few sounds that are in this game do their job well. Overall it's a fun game, but it could be much more fun with a few tweaks. Good job on this!

justuspan 2021-04-28 06:52

The feedback of hurt and hit could be added so that this game wil become much exciting. The darken environment construct the atomshpere of exloration successfully.Good job.

brad-make-games 2021-04-29 00:19

This game is very simple but that's not always a bad thing. I think some music could have helped a lot, and many of the sounds feel weak or don't have a "Punch" to them. The art is also a little rough, but it has its own kind of charm. The gameplay could use some polish, and I think zooming out the camera would have helped a lot. Overall, this still is a great entry!

matterlinx 2021-04-29 00:43

I thought that this had an interesting and unique art style, suitable for a game jam. The game lacked some polish, but overall good game.

kirbloid 2021-04-29 18:57

Really cute style, and having the depth be the score is a nice touch and is a great way to want to try again to get deeper into the world.

jakob-hellermann 2021-05-03 18:37

I liked the handdrawn style and reload animation/sound. The game mechanics could be a little smoother, e.g. the jump animation is very harsh and sometimes the character gets stuck.

jk5000 2021-05-12 06:59

It feels a bit unfinished, but it make me smile.
