This was tons of fun to play! Found myself concentrating so hard that I completely forgot about my surroundings for a while. Gameplay was engaging, graphics were great and the audio was sweet too.

These graphics are stunning! I especially liked the transitions between the different sky colours.
Good job on the bgm, it was really cute. ~
Very cute, and I loved the dash. Sadly keeps crashing within a minute or so, exact same error as Matthew Roelle posted.
Good job on your first game! The red blood cell is absolutely adorable. As others have said, a tiny dash of sound would really elevate the game. You might want to check out [sfxr](http://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html) to make sound effects in virtually no time at all next time. :)
Thank you for the report @remco
I've added a Compatibility version to the itch.io page if you'd like to give it another go. :)
I've been looking forward to this ever since you posted about your fragment shader. It's absolutely gorgeous, and plays really well too!
Really fun concept, I'm amazed that you had time to both code the game and make so much amazing graphics! Despite the simple gameplay, I got very invested in trying to minmax and figure out stat synergies (who needs defence and dodge when you can just pump atk speed / vampirism with a high HP buffer?!).
One little bug (?) I noticed was that when switching to lower HP pieces, my HP would "overflow" with more current HP than max, however when taking a health potion or using vampirism, it would pop down to the max.
Great job overall!!
Hilarious and impressive at the same time! Some minor graphical issues with borders of some sprites showing, but that didn't take away from the experience whatsoever. I love the concept of going into "enemies" as little levels instead of just fighting them!
The checkpoints and quick respawn was a much appreciated feature, I died plenty of times and it's never fun to be pulled out of the flow to go through a menu or long respawn animation.
Amazing job on graphics, gameplay, and audio!
Such a cool concept. Unfortunately my (nearly) one-eyed vision limited me to playing the cheat-mode, but I'm a sucker for seeing people try unique game mechanics like this!! Keep up the great work!
Thanks again to everyone who took their time to look at my entry and leave a comment! I've been drifting away from doing gamedev projects for a while but all this feedback is getting me fired up to get it back on track and keep doing jams ❤
Thanks for the thorough feedback @flaterectomy! I actually had a system with power ups in mind when I started and figured that would also allow me to add some extra challenges. The bullet time was my first proof of concept for a power up but towards the end I realised there wasn't time to add much more, so I reworked it into more of a core concept instead. Sorry about the sounds, those frequencies might have been out of range for my basic headset :)
Excellent suggestion @garys! I played with the idea to have all blocks on screen explode when you hit something to give some breathing room, but it got visually overwhelming. Some invincibility would probably have done the trick!
@oddarock Resetting the slow motion on taking damage does seem fair. I don't have a lot of time to go back and do a post-jam version, but that might be the first improvement if I find the time!
Such a great job with so little time! As you mentioned we went for a similar thing which makes it all the more fun to try!! I loved being able to see my previous attempts on re-runs, and as others have mentioned the sound when hitting obstacles is so good it's hard to resist :)
Small details like the reload animation and the light from torches pulsing were really nice, great job!
beautiful clouds :)
I adore the whiteboard art and yellow submarines will from this day on trigger some PTSD in me. Awesome game!
Cute art, fitting music and quite addictive too! I really liked the return mechanic, really adds some intensity knowing you can lose it all if you push too far. Great work!
This might be the ludum dare game I've spent the most time on so far, last few levels were quite challenging! The beautiful pixel art and soothing music/sound effects make it easy to keep playing and the game mechanics are really clever. I love the inverter tiles! Really great job 🎉
(I also had a look at the post-jam version and those quality of life improvements looked excellent, undoing moves instead of restarting makes all the difference!)
I played the original jam version for fairness sake but I see that you addressed all the improvements I thought of and some more with the patches!
This was really an enjoyable game, my only wish would have been even more upgrades, enemies and deeper seas :D Great job!
Many cool little details! Everything felt very self explanatory and I got so into it that the wolf howls really got my adrenaline pumped up. Awesome game!
Tricky to get where you want, but really fun to play with using the gravity from planets. Great job!
A little bit confusing at times why some poems were "so deep" while others landed me in the trash can, on the other hand dating is always confusing, so I guess it's spot on! :D Really fun take on the theme, I really enjoyed it!
I accidentally deleted minecraft.exe so I have no choice but to keep playing this :D Fun take on the theme and the main character is adorable!!
The lore intro was such a great addition! I would love to play a full length game narrated by you :) Cool music and fun idea for the gameplay too
It took a little while to understand what I was doing, but that complexity made it all the more rewarding when things went well. Great job!
I love the heavy music and red, really makes it feel like a descent into hell! Like you commented on my page, it really feels like a 3D version of what I did which maybe makes me biased, but I got stuck playing this for so long, really addictive :D It was nice to see obstacles up ahead so I could plan my movement and I got this urge to play it in VR and just dodge everything with head movements.
Great job overall!
Lovely artstyle! I worried it would become tedious to dig deep, but checkpoint to the rescue! Nice job :)
This was downright hilarious to play! As others have mentioned the switching/sweeping became a bit much for me after a while, but I want to stress that I loved the idea so I wouldn't want it gone, perhaps just a bit slower on the moving/switching?
Your game definitely places in the top tier of games I've played this jam, a creative marvel!
I've never been so invested in a puzzle before! Art was beautiful and I really felt for the characters in the story..
Overall an amazing submission, well done!
Art and sound worked really well together, relaxing to just sit and replay a bunch of times! Really nice work on an overall polished game!
Fun game, always fun to be stealthy. Very impressed by the art, nice job!
So cool to see an actual NES game, wish I could've played it on the proper hardware!
The layers really made things interesting, and the music was great. Amazing job with this, you should be proud! I'm constantly amazed by the games this community produces!
Really well made game for such a short timeframe! Every time I thought the game was done introducing new things it popped another thing on me. Graphics and sound was on point and the game played really well, my only issue was that waiters would ocasionally stop working after I repaired them. Just hovering on the spot for the rest of the game.
Very nice take on the theme, and lovely graphics. I love the potion mixing element, really brings it up from a perfectly good jam game to something that's hectic in just the right way to get you hooked!
This art is absolutely beautiful! Love the interactions between different cards, had lots of fun playing :)
Thanks again for all the feedback, we're hopefully giving the game some love post-jam and will do our best to address all the issues we can!
@zookatron We definitely didn't run out of time to make a pause/quit screen, let's just say that alt+f4 is the officially supported exit key (:
@cppchriscpp That's an interesting bug you found, it seems like your GPU doesn't deal well with some of the new light techniques used by UE5. I've added a lower spec version of the game to the itch.io page (`Yeetr 1.1 low spec`) that ditches most of the super fancy stuff. It runs a lot faster and should hopefully also have usable lamps on your GPU, so feel free to try it!
I'm impressed that you managed without any lights! We had a problem where lights didn't work at all when set to dynamic, so had to switch them to stationary (which is part of why performance got pretty bad). That did the trick on our machines but I'm guessing it's the same bug in a new form haunting you. I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a fix right now, but thanks for putting the time in to try it despite the problems!
Interesting concept! I appreciate that failing a room restarts you from that room and doesn't put you all the way back. I unfortunately didn't manage to get past the second room, felt like I couldn't avoid looking away when turning the knobs so I kept failing before they were all done. Nontheless you really nailed the spooky mood, the laugh really set the scene!
Really enjoyed the overall presentation of this game! The artstyle, colours, and sound effects all go well together to create a very enjoyable experience.
I will admit that I lost pretty quickly the first few times but once I understood what I was doing it didn't feel too difficult.
Great job on a great game!
The music is KILLER! Figuring out all the ways you can affect the play was lots of fun, I could definitely see myself playing an extended version of this game with more scenarios and more ways to mess with the play. Very cute graphics too.
Great job!!
I HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY AND NOT ENOUGH UPGRADES!! Really fun game, love the upgrades (although the power creep was very real!). Excited to see how this game evolves!

Really impressed by the graphics, and great job overall!
Man I wish this game never ended! That first switch had me going "what the fuck..." out loud. Other than the idea being pure genius I'm also super impressed that you guys managed to make all of this within the short timeframe.
I would pay money for a full version of this game, AMAZING job!
Unfortunately got stuck after a little bit, but great concept! Congratulations on your first jam, hope to see you in the next one too :)
As others have said a little bit hard to understand at first, but after checking the comments it worked out. Fun concept, I love the flavour text for the disasters!
Great job!
I already thought it was a fun idea switching between mini games (like warioware, as mentioned above), but then the music started to pump up, rooms got mashed up and lights went out.. amazing! Great job on this game!
Fun game and graphics that make me nostalgic! Unfortunately got stuck at the falling pillars like many others, hints on how to get past them are welcome :) Great job on this!
Really enjoyable rythm game! Took a while to learn how to get the timing right, but once I got it down it was a good experience. Played the browser version which felt a little small, wished I could have increased the size a bit to better enjoy the graphics :)
Super enjoyable experience! I like puzzle games, but tend to get annoyed when there's friction like having to restart the game when you make a silly move and then repeat all the moves you've already done. Having an undo button along with quick level transitions and restart hotkey removed any friction! The art and sound effects come together really well and provide a cute and polished feeling! 🪱🎉
Reminder set to come back and check on my carrot now and then :D
So hard to control,10/10! I agree with others that a little sound effect on each successful planting/watering/harvest would be lovely if you were to work more on the game. Nice job :)
Easy to puck up and very relaxing to play! After a little while I felt like there wasn't as much point trying to rotate the planet just right since there was always something getting water or sun, but despite that it was still fun to just watch things grow :)
Thanks for playing and leaving some encouragement @kodingnights @xfinktion!
Sorry to hear about the sound effect stacking, although I can't reporduce it it's probably an side effect of my incredibly ugly hack of just reloading the page when you die, since I didn't have time to make a main menu :) I've made a small patch disabling the death sound on the final life to hopefully save future players some pain, so thank you for pointing it out!
Delightfully hectic! The art is really cute, and I absolutely loved peeking at my harvets goal mid-panic only to read "Go! Go! Go!" I didn't mind the camera movement too much until the robots showed up, got harder to keep track of their movement while I was popping the camera around.
Really nice and polished entry!
The music has me in absolute awe, genuinely so good! You really nailed that feeling of excitement down with the tombstone movement + epic music just before the boss spawns :D Gameplay was solid and had me invested in no time, and collecting trophies from the bosses was a nice touch too. Awesome job!
Quite impressed that you had time to both model all that and make the actual game! I found it a little bit hard to see the pollen during midday, but decided to just see it as an extra difficulty mechanic :) I agree with the above commenter that the animation was really cool, and seeing that it's a shader makes it even cooler. Lovely entry overall!
Almost managed to reach level 21 before I was completely surrounded and swamped :D Simple mechanics made it easy to get started, and upgrades kept me playing. Really nice job :)
Really like the graphics! Good job making engaging mechanics, got super focused while playing this one :)
Very relaxing to listen to some tunes and just harvest away! Unfortunately wasn't able to beat level 2 despite a few tries, I guess I'm not cut out for farming :( Nice entry!
Had a lot of fun dashing around, so much that I forgot completely about WASD :) Felt mechanically solid and rewarding to collect combo and attack the bosses with it, but the minmaxer in me started wondering if it's really worth the gamble to gather a huge combo before attacking if it gets reset when you hit the boss anyway. Safer to go for a stab every so often. Would have been neat with a mechanic that made it even more rewarding if you take the risk to go huge on combo! (although I must admit I don't have any immediate suggestions).
Was super fun to play overall, prbably giving brokoli another stab (heh) after this :)
Felt so satisfying to harvest big bunches of crops! I felt the pressure from zombies and evil crops, really got me invested in quickly moving around and harvesting. Super nice entry overall, my only regret is that I wanted more levels!
