Really fun interpretation of the theme. I kind of want a virus mode version where you delete the good files instead of the useless ones. (I love the filenames btw!) :D
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Pirifurm DCleaner

Congrats! I like the interpretation of the theme, unexpected and fun. I think there is some overlapping in some UI elements in the Web version, but nothing that gets in the way of the gameplay.
The fact that you did this without an engine blows my mind!!!
So impressed all of this was done without an engine! I did find the viruses surprisingly helpful at "organizing" the user files into neat little piles in the bottom and top left of the level.
Thank you for playing my game! The itch.io version has lots of glitches for some reason, the game works perfectly on my local server without overlapping, arrow keys not working and splash screen breaking. I really don't know why this is happening. When I press Ctrl+Shift+I it tells me 404 error so it's probably some problem on itch.io server side.
@otresnjak Thank you so much. Glad you liked the filenames! ^-^
@pixelportalz Yeah it seems there is some issue on itch.io server-side. Thanks for playing!
@jibberwocky I tried to make everything collide with everything and made the physics complex. It glitches sometimes but it makes the game a lot more fun. Thank you so much for playing.
I accidentally deleted minecraft.exe so I have no choice but to keep playing this :D Fun take on the theme and the main character is adorable!!
@timon Thanks for playing! :)
I like the gameplay loop. Loved to play some similar games back in the early app games 2010ish era. Cool juicy effects. Really nice menu and lots of selection for difficulty levels. Good and fund game overall
A nice, creative use of the theme. A simple platformer with a fresh interpretation! Well done, I really enjoyed playing it.
Interesting theme choice! The highlight of the game might be the files can be collided and moved by the virus blocks. Control feels a little bit unusual but not bad. Overall simple but interesting!
Thank you so much everyone for playing my game.
@rhewid @wongkongphooey Glad you both liked playing it!
@yulotomorrow Yes, the physics of the game is the most interesting part  Maybe the jumping was a little too floaty with no way to duck quickly to the ground. If I make a platformer next time, I will take care of that. Thank you for playing!
Uqniue idea! A big plus for not using an engine ;) I'm not really sure why should I avoid viruses if I'm a cleaner, but hey, it works :)
This was super cute =). I liked the take that you went with! Harkens back to a time of Kazaa and hoping what you just downloaded wasn't going to destroy everything. Lol well done! =D
Thank you for playing! @jokerbomb
@mudlee Glad you liked the idea! I don't know, maybe the viruses corrupt your code or something. I didn't get time to write proper lore.
Innovative and unique idea! It was one of the most fun games I've played! :)
@plazyqwerty Glad you liked the idea and had fun playing the game!
The physics/dynamics of jumps is surprising and doesn't seem totally predictable (some jumps go higher than others).
But I never thought it would be that fun to erase cache files.
@slowfrog-again Hmm.. that's weird. I played the game, stood in one place and jumped but all jumps were of the same height. I'll look into this problem a little more.
Glad you had fun playing my game!
Really good take on the theme. The mechanics were really easy to pick up and the game didn't feel unfairly difficult. The music was actually pretty good too, nice work.
@sleepystudios Thank you for playing. Glad you liked the difficulty curve and the mechanics!
Very cool! I loved the music. The physics were a bit crazy, but that made it kinda fun trying to get around. Sometimes the files would knock into each other setting the velocity of the other off and making it slide across the screen. The only thing I'd have liked to see is some logic to stop cache files getting sandwiched between or underneath normal files, meaning that I couldn't get to them without taking damage. Still, fun entry and very impressive for 48 hours. Well done!
@garys Thank you for playing! The physics are a little on the crazy side but that's what makes the game unique. Yeah, I should have added some logic to prevent the cache files from getting sandwhich between normal files. I'm glad you had fun playing it!
i like how this is a parody of actual software  the physics actually makes sense, though multiple collisions with a single trigger-happy virus is pretty brutal  overall had a good laugh and managed to clear a few gigabytes  (thanks for also sharing the tools you used  )
@koalatte Thank you so much for playing my game! Glad to know you found it funny.
Great and fun entry, especially for a compo game! Interesting take on the theme with nice physic interactions. Got to 17k in easy mode before a virus glitched and oneshot me even though I had full health (guess it got stuck in me and collided rapidly?). Got to 9k in hard before cache files got buried below real files and I couldn't get them anymore :)
@heremeus Yeah, I think the collision with the viruses messes up sometimes and the HP starts going down rapidly. Sorry about that, Glad to know you found the game fun and liked my interpretation of the theme. Thank you again! :)
Fun game, creative interpretation of the theme. The graphics are simple but very crisp and nice to look at, the sounds and music are okay.
I think it could improve by making the player a bit faster (move speed and gravity).
Enjoyable entry, good job!
@asdehielo Thank you for playing!
I managed to keep minecraft.exe and bandicam.exe, but I deleted dad's resume and some school assignments. Oops! Guess I'll just have to start a Minecraft Let's Play channel to support the family now!
Great entry and I had a lot of fun playing this one!
I like this game. Theme is funny and the idea of good guys (meaning the files) being actually bad because they rise memory usage fits this game perfectly. Thank you for making it :)
Hi! Very funny and simple idea for the game! I played the expert mode every time and I had a lot of fun! I really like the music too. Great work!!
Btw. I think I found a bug! When I'm on the highest platform on the right and I jump on the far right, (right next to the edge of the screen) you can jump up on something behind the screen and die or just stuck:) Hopefully it's clear enough :)
Cool game - can see some similarities with mine, as far as fighting "computer stuff" and avoiding errors.
Interesting take on the theme, the game is fun and good-looking, a bit hard for me, but I enjoyed and the file names were funny.
Good game, good job.
Such a great concept! So many ideas on how to expand on it immediately come to mind: what if files size actually their size on screen (so that you had to be really careful not to delete that 10GB Minecraft folder)? Or if cache files had actual names and you had to double-check whether you're deleting homework.docs or ~homework.docx?
Anyway, it was fun as is, even though the movement was a bit too floaty for my taste. Also, nice music!
Nice game! A few physics bugs and things that led to some cheap-feeling deaths, but I really liked it overall! Got up to 15,000 high score after a few attempts!
Oh my god I just returned from school and I have 9 new reviews!
@rubixnoob13 LOL, glad you found the game fun and the filenames funny!
@2rek No, thank YOU for playing the game. Glad you liked it!
@filgru Oops, I tested it and I got stuck outside the level when I jumped from the top-right platform. This is the second bug after the virus collision bug. I hope to fix these in a post-jam version later. Glad you had fun playing it and good job on being able to play in expert mode!
@madr Thanks for playing! I will play your game when I get time.
@mololo Thank you so much for playing! Next time I will make some more difficulty settings if I plan on making an arcade-styled game.
@maniulo Oh my god, that sounds awesome. I will add those features and fix some bugs in a post-jam version. I will give your credit for this idea. Thanks for playing the game! Sorry the movement was a bit too floaty..
@fueelin That's a really good score! Thanks for playing, I think you are referring to the rapid collision virus bug. I will fix that in a post-jam version and add some more things as @maniulo suggested! :)
Can I recover photos and videos from a formatted hard drive on my mac? Accidentally deleted all data! Maybe you know some good recovery tool that actually works!
All the best. I recently found an article https://onmac.net/best-data-recovery-software-for-mac/, which talked about a program that has the ability to preview files and pause the scanning process, providing users with convenience and control over what what they want to restore and when it is most convenient. Features like Recovery Vault can provide an extra layer of protection for your files to prevent future data loss.
