Wow this is solid and polished game! And the plot is better than Inception movie.

A little bit repetitive (as a puzzle mechanic), but it's fantastic result for jam.

saussol 2021-04-27 13:22

wow Good Very good !!!

jk5000 2021-04-27 13:25

A very well made and funny little game. I really had fun trying this game. Well done.

sandcastlesstudio 2021-04-27 13:30

Really original! It just surprise me a lot when you enter on a body and inside there was another one! Really nice

pipidragon 2021-04-27 13:30

great game! very well made and polished, puzzles were very nice and controls felt great, some hitboxes were off point but its still a great jam!

owca 2021-04-27 13:32

Very funny concept. I like the graphics, audio and the humor. I would just add a possibility to disable this distortion shader/effect because it does something weird with my eyes ;P

colapolka 2021-04-27 13:36

Well I can finally say I found god. ;)

Real unique spin to the theme, loved it. And the music reminded me of early 90s Amiga games - a good thing in my book.

webox 2021-04-27 13:37

Woaah this is the most original game so far!! The art is just breath taking, incredibly fun!! Platforming requires a bit of polishing I struggled a lot with some jumps. Veeery solid entry, congrats on your game!! you did great!

lootgrounds 2021-04-27 13:57

That's some really nice take on the theme. Just enough playtime and variety. Boy, there's even a plot! Congratulations with a solid entry.

rongo-matane 2021-04-27 14:47

Phew, just finished, though one sphincter remained unentered, god forbid!

I love the idea and the art. Deeper and deepter into buttholes will never be not funny, fart sound and all. This is what kept me going! The gameplay was good enough for me wanting to finish it. I liked the general mechanic of shrinking a lot, and the initial "cutscene" was extremely cool with voice acting. I just went back to watch it a second time, only now getting the deeper joke :D

I also have some points that troubled me * platforming mechanics didn't feel good - getting those right is hugely difficult in a jam. For example, i frustratingly died 5 times on a column (1 tile with 1 spike adjacent) where my jump wouldn't execute. I was standing on the edge ok, but apparently too far into the space. I'm also missing coyote time. * it's a bit long - i've seen all mechanics after 2 minutes, but play 10 more of the same thing. Like, shrinking to go through tight spaces quickly is fun, but not 10 times in a similar fashion * the wobble. I can understand if the game needed more juice, but the wobble wasn't a good solution for me, as it made the focus on the gameplay elements a bit unpleasant * the camera. There was always a little jump when changig size, and the switch between changing directions is very intense for something i might do mid flight multiple times. Together with the wobble it was difficult to follow visually.

There were some technical issues like tiles not fitting or sprites missing the transparent part, but i didn't mind that at all.

What i really liked is that you put the plates with the right controls at the right places, so the mechanics were always clear. I was also very thankful for the checkpoint system.

Good job on the game, i love the graphics and the humor!

mcdown 2021-04-27 15:13

Wow, this is a really good and solid game ! I've played it and didn't see the minutes pass. It's even more impressive knowing how much time you had to make this game. This is a really innovative and interesting mecanic, I sincerely hope you'll keep working on this game, even though it feels already pretty completed ! Anyways, have a nice day ! :)

eugenik 2021-04-27 16:32

Nice game and cute graphics :) Great entry!.

zimny11 2021-04-27 17:59

Great game, nice mechanics and music as well as graphics. My only complaint will be the controls, especially the double jump doesn't work well enough for a platformer. But, overall good job!

threeli 2021-04-27 23:59

What a cool idea. Felt like an old-school game (Jazz Jackrabbit and the like). I'd love to play more of it but a few things I took note of. The controls felt a little too loose for how swiftly the game moves? I know that's maybe not particularly precise feedback, but it's hard to pin down what I mean. That and the hitbox for the spikes feels really punishing.

Additionally, I wish there was a bar, or some other visual indication depicting how much longer you will remain shrunken. I know there is an audible hint, but it would've made it less frustrating.

Great idea and really polished for the short amount of time you had to make it!

finn-tr 2021-04-28 10:07

What a cool game! The idea and art is very unique, I really like the shrinking mechanic and even though the control is a bit hard to get use to, overall this is a very solid game! Well done!

vuvuzela80 2021-04-28 14:29

Almost perfect game!!! Good Idea, i love the idea, pretty good level design. Just to be critic the control are a little bit sensible and the wavy effect is mortal :D

truechips 2021-04-28 14:57

Very fun! I liked that you can go inside the parasite infesting the body of the sick man, and inside their parsite!

poweranze 2021-04-28 15:19

Very fun idea! I had problems with jumping: Sometimes, the jump just broke (for w and space) and I had to kill myself so that it worked again. I could not finish the game because of that. Still, nice gameplay!

gamedevtraum 2021-04-28 17:04

hahaha at first I didn't understand that when you go inside a parasite you ended up exiting through the other side xD, it was hilarious. Sadly I got stucked in one of the screens, the one when you fall directly to spikes, I couldn't reach the upper platforms. Excelent idea :D

strangeryann 2021-04-28 17:34

Very cool! Really enjoyed it! Took me a while to get used to the shrinking mechanics There one part near the very end where there's a spike in your way, you can get small to pass through it - but it doesn't let you jump - that one took me a bit to get - cause it wasn't indicated Great little game - windy level design, greax execution - sweet stuff, well done :-D

So I really like your game and I'm streaming Ludum Dare 48 games on saturday with my friend Teauorent on his Twitch channel - https://www.twitch.tv/teauorent - Saturday May 1st 4PM CET First of all - that cool with you? The time limit mechanic was a great twist. I've played a number of shapeshift games in LD, but I think this is the only one I've played with that sort of mechanic. I was surprised with how much it added, because now I had to be careful about when and where I switched. This added a good variety to what would normally be a rote exercise in going small and then going big when you reached the exit. Here, you had to quickly "big-cancel" when you reached a tall section and then move forward. The execution actually felt very nice when performing this quickly.

Like others said, some of the level mechanics/ideas do overstay its welcome a bit. Although as I mentioned earlier, even though the levels weren't particularly challenging me after a while, I was getting faster at managing my size changes and figuring out sections on the fly which felt good - mastery of the mechanic.

The end section was a nice cherry on top of everything and a great cap to an insane concept. Not many games can pull of the inception idea well but yours felt good.

dom-de-re 2021-05-02 04:49

this was amazing, art was spot on, and a nice innovative mechanic! it felt a little repetitive after a while, but something that is probably to be expected with 3 days work, this is definitely a strong foundation for an amazing game, i'll be eager to buy it if its developed into something bigger!

kleinzach 2021-05-02 16:45

Great entry. The concept is really solid. The art is (delightfully) gross. The platforming felt a little awkward, it felt like the camera shifted around too much sometimes and there were a couple of blind jumps in the levels which forced some trial and error. Overall, though, very well done!

sdata 2021-05-02 17:08

I really loved the monster designs and the interpretation of "Going Deeper"! It was a lot of fun and while some of the platforming felt slidey and the movement of the camera and distortion of the background made some jumps tricky, I had a great time with the game!!

filgru 2021-05-02 18:02

Hey! Really cool game idea. I love the humor:) Art style is really nice and the hallucination effect makes this game more attractive. I tried to finish this game somehow but I stuck in one of the rooms and I couldn't find the way out.. Besides that, fun game! Well done!

tomssuli 2021-05-02 18:56

We also made a platformer about doctor and shrinking  I think it's a little different than yours. This looks interesting, I'll try it

EDIT: okay, that was funny :D Graphics were great, a little polish would have been in place for the anuses edges, but you probably ran out of time. Legendary music and great sfx. Good puzzles and platforming. What is there not to like :) ...except maybo couple of places where you didn't know where you gonna fall. I think the usage of theme was also excellent!

bender-biber 2021-05-02 19:39

Wow, This was a great game. The controlls could be a bit more snappy but I really liked this one. great game

jokerbomb 2021-05-02 20:24

Nice work! The art here is really great and the music and sfx were done well. I did find the platforming a bit cumbersome (bit slidey, double jumps that were JUST inside the jump range). However was still a great time =D

krammetje 2021-05-02 21:04

Really solid entry. Quite enjoyable and puzzle-ly.

super-hadoken 2021-05-03 12:33

Great graphics and well implemented shrink mechanic. Some of the jumps were frustrating (eg. not being able to see where you land) but fortunately the spawn points were well placed.

timo-gass 2021-05-03 17:19

Nice Graphics! Reminds me a lot of Binding of Isaac :D (Which is good) At some corners the tiles didnt quite match, but overall it looked really good!

I like the gameplay mechanics and feel a lot! Sometimes I didn't like the leveldesign, because it wasn't really challening, but more tidious to walk through :D

paulhocker 2021-05-05 03:01

this game was really fun. going deeper into the sphincters of monsters was an interesting idea. the graphics were superb and the controls were tight. there were a few areas that were barely reachable. great game. thanks for making it.

timon 2021-05-06 14:07

Hilarious and impressive at the same time! Some minor graphical issues with borders of some sprites showing, but that didn't take away from the experience whatsoever. I love the concept of going into "enemies" as little levels instead of just fighting them!

The checkpoints and quick respawn was a much appreciated feature, I died plenty of times and it's never fun to be pulled out of the flow to go through a menu or long respawn animation.

Amazing job on graphics, gameplay, and audio!

papaver 2021-05-07 21:08

Such a cool, creative and funny game! :sparkling_heart:

I love the concept of going deeper and deeper into the insides of different nested creatures. It's very cool how the levels are connected in this way, I guess that takes some planning. It was nice to be able to play with a controller, and the movement is nice and smooth.

I like the graphics, and how the levels adapt to the creature we are in. And how is everything is moving around.

I had to laugh at the high voice when the doctor is small. The mechanic that you get bigger again after a fixed amount of time is very nice (but also nice that as a player I could control that as well), and made that I had to think about this when racing through the intestines. The levels with tiny platforms where not my favorite, because it was quite easy to overshoot the platform.

I enjoyed the music, and how it changed in the end game (which was cool as well).

Nice that you have an intro and a tutorial, and how you reused some of the signs in the levels. The safepoints where not clear to me at first that they were safe.

Oh, and nice bubbles!

Overall, awesome entry! :raised_hands:

lereveur 2021-05-09 17:18

This was not easy (I'm not left-handed, I guess it would have been easier if I could have use arrows), but I managed to finish this fun, good looking, and humourous game. Well done!
