Haha, "Deeper and Deeper" - I love the take on the theme. Fun little arcade fighter. Sorry to hear about losing progress but awesome job on pushing through and submitting.

I like the idea of collecting evidence via fighting mobsters.. it would be cool (outside of compo time limits) if the evidence actually led to bits of info toward a larger plot
I like the concept. The sounds are great and the music is pretty good. I do think it gets repetitive a bit fast, and it can feel clunky. The art looks great and overall not a bad entry!
Interesting concept but the game is a little bit bare-boned. The lack of feedback on hitting or blocking, as well as many sprites overlapping makes the combat a bit confusing. I feel sorry for your losing progress, it could be better if you refine it more!
I liked the art style and concept. The enemies stopped right on top of me instead of next to me which made the combat less enjoyable. I noticed too that they stayed above me on the platform instead of pathing down. Nice job making a game in a weekend!
Nice art style and interesting take on the theme. When I read the description that it was a lawyer game and then saw fighting controls I was intrigued.
It was a little difficult to fight the enemies when they would cluster up on top of eachother, and it was hard to tell if my hits were doing anything since there was no obvious feedback when an enemy was hit.
I've always gotta give bonus points to any game that has voice acting. Nice sound effects, ha! As already mentioned, it would be nice to know if we're registering a hit. Like, perhaps another 'oof' sound effect, or some particles like blood, or a more family-friendly option where they lose leaflets of evidence as a particle effect. In any case, nice work finishing a game!
Interesting take on the theme. Neat art style and audio. However, it can get repetitive and there is no way to tell if you hit the enemy. Also it seems that when there are multiple enemies in one spot you can die instantly. Overall neat game! Hope you had fun doing it! :D
Good art and controls for the game pretty smooth. I think knowing when an enemy was hit would be a must need. Also I found out if I hold block and just keep punching I can survive forever
Love the villain voice acting lol. "Mehehe!" I wish there was a goal of how many papers to get. Also maybe the enemy spawn point could be randomized. I'm impressed with the pathfinding!
Sfx are nuggets, lot of fun, good job! mehehe!
A tad simple but alright for a compo game, well done
