The embedded version on here (ldjam.com) doesn't seem to load for me. But the linked version seems to work. It was a bit difficult to see the pink pixels on the map. I only understood that they are the targets after I found half of them by accident. Also I think there should be a penalty just spamming packages, which I started doing, since it was a bit difficult to aim and I thought I might hit some targets on accident (since I didn't know about the pixels on the map yet). The music is nice and also makes some pressure together with the timer. Good job!
I actually think this is my favorite submission so far. The physics were terrific, the minimap was informative, overall great game. It works super well as a speed runable and highscore game. Had a lot of fun with this one.
Great game! Short, but fun. There should be a penalty for spamming boxes, it seems to me unintended that I can just fly randomly and spam boxes to quickly deliver.
Nice challenging physics, good 3d art, and the minimap is a nice touch
@dysleixc @aschab If I were to work further on the game then I think lots more stats (including "wasted" boxes), power-ups, and some simple enemies (birds) to avoid would be my plan. I agree with your feedback - thank you.
Cute little game I agree that wasted boxes should influence your result, so you could go for a 'perfect' run! Either way this was fun and I think I did alright:

Really nice! Got a time of about 1:20! Solid entry!
Easy to pickup and quite fun. I felt especially thrilled when I could deliver a package at full speed or by bouncing it against a building  I didn't understand exactly how the drop worked because the package seemed to pickup a bit of my velocity if I moved too soon after dropping it ! Good job, it's a nice entry :)
I liked how boxes preserved momentum. It raises the potential skill ceiling for speedrunning which is good. The 2.5 d view worked nicely. The sound effects and music complemented the experience well.
Awesome game, love the physics implementation. Wish there was a hard mod with parcel limit for some challenge!
A fun little game, nice to kind of zone out and complete. I had to go get a package from outside while playing (the irony!) so my score was around 05:30. I never quite nailed the momentum based delivery- probably because it was difficult to tell how high up I was.
Well I think I might have found soft hack for the game :P The game is about good aim and speed, but there is no penalty on constantly throwing parcels. So once I start approaching next checkpoint I start pressing spacebar and I'm pretty confident at least one will hit and I can already start moving to the next one. I think limiting or giving penalty on throwing parcels and missing would improve the experience.
On the other hand, I love how the drone looks like when it tilts towards the direction you are flying.
Great game, cheers!
The flying around felt really good. Great submission!

My first attempt was a 1:30, but this was my best: 2023-05-08 09_12_53-Drone Drop _ ldjam.com _ Ludum Dare game jam.png
I think I would want the ability to do seeded runs so that the times could be more directly comparable and so I could practice particular map layouts.
It is very satisfying to fling the packages in from far away and then keep on moving. Very nice polish on this one. Really liked the music, especially the way the start screen is a pared back version of the more frantic in game music.
Thanks for making it and have fun out there!
I missed a more challenging gameplay but I loved the music and the graphics! Congrats!
Cool little game. I like how the physics are quite predictable, and after a few tries, I got the hang of it and was able to release the packages from quite fare with confidence. Neat idea, nicely done.
i enjoyed it quite a bit, and it was nice not to have to worry about altitude
Nice little game! I completed it in 1:39, but I could see people getting really fast times once they got the hang of how long it takes the box to drop. Controls feel smooth and if it weren't for the clock I'd say it was almost relaxing. Good amount of finish with the effects and camera feel.
Not bad, getting the hang of the mechanics was fun, it's like a bombing game :) The gameplay is very simple, it would have been nice if you could extend it with obstacles to avoid, or scores for accuracy, hitting moving objects, that kind of thing. The music is pretty neat!
Nice game! Well done!
I like the concept. You need to be fast and precise at the same time. It's also very cool to pilot a drone through the city ! Good job !
i did it in a lame 2 minutes. At times it felt like the boxes were flying as they wanted, even though I felt like I was standing still, but then I started taking advantage of the fact that I have an infinite number of packages, and the game immediately started to be more fun. Really great start
