i would love to see more on how you generated the puzzles, it works really well and hardly ever has any that dont require at least a little thinking to solve. great work as always
@duke thanks very much for all the kind words! and as for the feedback i agree on basically all counts and as you already mentioned it basically all comes down to the time limit. i obviously waited to do any balance tweaks until the game was already technically done, so i didnt have as much time as i would like to really fine tune things. with games like this its really tough to walk the line between making things too easy, or making them completely impossible, even when making small tweaks. getting balance right early on is one of my biggest weaknesses for sure!
@guladam the first wave can be a bit tough haha, but upgrades make things much more manageable after the first wave
really really like the visuals! found that the police were essentially a non issue most of my time playing it, if they were more of a threat it would be more interesting. great job though
extremely polished for a ludum dare game, nice work
Super cool mechanic that was a ton of fun to mess around with. my only complaint really is that the earlier levels have much more freedom to experiment and find interesting ways to do things, while the later levels you cant grow as much which makes things much less interesting. still very solid all around.
i like when people attempt strategy stuff like this, its really good. the only big problem was sometimes you just got bad rng and cant really do anything about it. would have been cool to have some kind of hold mechanic or some deck building mechanics to keep cards you like and mitigate the luck
