Great entry. Had tons of fun working out the solutions. The Skip option is a nice touch. Graphics are great, sound effects and tunes were good as well. The music was enjoyable, even after three almost-complete playthroughs. This game has that great combo of mechanics and puzzle design that makes me feel awesome when I get it figured out. Well done!

Hit a small bug in the last full level - Once you place the wireable block and play->stop at least once, that block isn't selectable anymore. So I wasn't able to move/remove it because it doesn't show a cursor, as it acts much like a non-user block does.

There are not that many games that make you speechless and entertained such as this one. I just loved it! Man you got an extra points from me for the SNES aesthetics, graphics, sounds and overall design. I love how much details you have put to the game. Even options like skipping a level when dying too much. The gameplay is so smooth it really feels like playing it on SNES (except using a mouse instead haha). One of my most favorites entries so far.

The great game, though the puzzle can be quite difficult. Also, I encountered a bug in the level pictured below. I placed the block (look for blue lines) and can't move it any more or deleted. I tried it with the other blocks and they didn't have the same issue, so I guess it has to do with that exact spot. Schermopname (539).png

Thanks everyone! Sorry about the bugs. The code was a huge mess by the end, I'm surprised it holds together at all! we totally ran out of time to build and balance levels, so I'm really glad Jon thought to add the skip option 😉

There's a lot to like about this one. But I especially appreciated how the start screen was also a tutorial, explained what the game was about, AND was a cool Rube Goldberg machine to kick things off.

Decently difficult game, but VERY satisfying when you complete them. I was actually stumped on the first ramp puzzle for a long time but I got it after a while. I actually think swapping the first balloon puzzle with that might be a better progression for the player, mostly because you're given so many tools for the ramp level that it can be overwhelming. With that said, the balloon puzzle is the best part of the game and I'm impressed with how finely tuned the game is. I really liked the overall Lemmings concept and you definitely hit the nail on the head with the theme here.

Very well designed levels, completed maybe 4-5 of them, and skip is nice touch, because I would may have given up sooner, and wouldn't have the joy of finishing the later levels.

One thing was a bit clunky, is that I had to switch to the specific block, before I could remove it.

Anyway, pretty polished game for this short amount of time.

Very cool puzzle game. I'm a sucker for setting things up and watching them unfold, so this is right up my ally. The graphics look very cool as well. The only downside for me are the controls. They work decent enough but i had to wrangle with them a bit. :laughing:

Nice level design and ideas! The puzzles got difficult quickly and it was often hard to tell exactly what was going to happen, but I think a lot of that had to do with the ZX Spectrum graphics. Is there a reason you chose to go with that? I think more colors and a slightly higher resolution would have helped.

But the aesthetic is totally fine!

Really cool game, old school. Some of the levels were a bit challenging but they make you feel smart when you beat them, especially any one with balloons.

Having never had access, so cool to be able to play in the style of Zed Ex! Really took me back to the 8bits. I thought of some improvements to gameplay, when i was strugglin' but really, I think all of those "conveniences" would take away from the charm that this little platformer just exudes. All 5's, baby. This is next level LD. Fun, challenging, nostalgic, and short. You left me wanting more.

Wow, that's been really impressive and solid game! Nothing bad to say about it, some explanations for the new tiles would help, but you can always figure it out by playing, trial and error way.

Lovely stuff! Simple but enaging mechanic, and all aspects are well executed. The only issue I had was that I had a hard time guessing the function of some of the placeable items because the pixel art made them a bit vague. Nothing that a few test runs couldn't fix though :)

Fucking brilliant. Loved everything about this entry. The puzzle design was fantastic. The music and art was great. Full commercial game potential here with 100 levels. It's that good.

Nothing here couldn't be solved with another day and some tip screens and level select, etc.

You SeaDads impress me so much.

:thumbsup: **What I liked:** ✱ incredible design, the level design/mechanics works perfectly ✱ harmonious aesthetics ✱ Puzzle difficulty is balanced just like I like them :)

:muscle: **What imo could be improved:** ✱ Very frustrated I got a bug in the last level I couldn't remove the toggleable block once placed (it was just under the pikes at the beggining and got it wired and unwired). ✱ I'm not found of the art style, I find it consistant but I wouldn't like the watch that for hours ✱ Audio feels a bit cold

One of my favourite entries so far. Loved the whole concept behind this and how you used the theme. The game felt really polished with all the elements working well together. The art is great and worked well with the gameplay mechanic in being simple and cute enough to represent all the elements. Did find myself playing some of the levels multiple times to figure out what was going on but was satisfying to solve them.

Very well put together! A bit of a difficulty spike at level 5 I would argue but then again making puzzle games in a game jam is a hell of a challenge. Really nicely done :smile:

Great game, very well done! It took me a minute to realize exactly how the wires/triggers modified blocks, but once I got that everything was very intuitive.

My team actually made a very similar game (place objects to help guide an uncontrollable character to a goal -- lemmings-esk). We made the decision to have large levels where you scroll the camera around. In hindsight, I think limited the puzzles to a single screen was a good design choice as our levels can be a bit daunting at times. I'd be curious to hear your teams thoughts on our game if you get the chance.

The tools interface was a bit confusing (I can flip parts of the scene that I can't normally move? I may have cheated...). There were puzzles where many new mechanics are introduced at once, which took me a while to fully understand. I would be interested in a version where you don't place blocks at all, but just reroute switches that already exist. (To limit the search space for the players a bit.) Really solid core, art, sound. 👍
