LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep It Ticking! by auxC 2020-04-21T01:01:56Z

It was a bit glitchy at times, but that's very understandable seeing as how there can be TONS of afterimages. It was chaotic and fun and good job.

walker's project ### by SamsStuff 2020-04-24T04:39:47Z

Lots of typos, but great sound design and sprite work.

Sector 17-12 by Syv 2020-04-24T04:15:13Z

An interesting concept, but very difficult. I feel like with health regeneration already implemented in the game, it should go a bit faster, so that the player isn't just waiting around for minutes on end for their health to regen. The enemies, or at least the ones that chase after you have a tendency to cluster up which can lead to boring combat encounters. The background music was good though, but it looped a bit shorter than I would have liked, and it was fairly sparse in terms of all other audio. Overall, it was a good game. These are just recommendations for things that you may want to improve in your future endeavors. While it was difficult for me, I still had a great deal of fun playing it. It reminded me of the game Rogue, and other dos games with the way that it printed out damage outputs and the like in the bottom corner. Good job.

Don't Kill Gil by webthingee 2020-04-20T23:59:45Z

Great little card game. Only taking one card with you to the next round put an interesting twist on it that made me really contemplate the most necessary card in my hand each round.

Let It Rain #46 by Erk 2020-04-24T04:04:32Z

Good game. With a few simple elements, you made a memorable flower defense game that was actually very difficult. The music was probably my favorite part. Great job.

Mount Ookie by Brusi 2020-04-21T19:26:27Z

A fun concept, but a bit overwhelming with only being able to carry one wasp at a time. The graphics are great, and the enemy being the sustenance is a unique thing that I've seen so far.

Lamps by qkjosh 2020-04-24T04:28:28Z

Very moody and wonderful. A bit janky to control with standard wasd. It definitely feels like it was made for joystick controls specifically, but I made do. It felt incredibly mysterious, and a bit spooky, especially when the dog whimpered, and I feel like that was the point, so you nailed the mood! fantastic job.

Catnip Panic by Platyp 2020-04-20T23:47:03Z

When I booted this up, I expected it to be a tower defense, but I'm so glad it's not. It plays like a frantic survival game, with you rushing from thing to thing desperately trying to keep your plant alive. It's a fun game.

The Cave by Gonzako 2020-04-20T19:06:32Z

Nailed the mood and looks of it all, though it is a bit confusing having the player be a translucent rectangle. It looked good, and it felt good.

Hey! My jam game has the same name, and some similar concepts like an oil bar and water being the enemy, though I'll admit that yours is better than mine in *most* ways.

Overjammed by Nachodlv 2020-04-21T00:39:33Z

A frantic run between the router and the fish! I loved it, and I love the tilty walking animation.

Little Red Riding Hood And The Good Spirit Of The Woods by Nogam 2020-04-20T23:25:34Z

Absolutely amazing. Fits with the theme perfectly. The graphics are fantastic. I love the mysterious, foggy atmosphere. The blend of cute pixel art and 3D environments also reminds me very much of Octopath traveler. In any case, this is a great game, and I hope it gets a great deal of attention.

Thank you so much to everyone who has commented so far! This was my first game jam, and really my first actual game. It's something I wanted to do for a long time and all of these positive comments and critiques make me really proud of myself and what I can accomplish. Thank you again, and I hope you continue to have fun with my game!

Heartbeat by CaptainProton42 2020-04-21T19:21:00Z

Great game. It reminded me of some other games with intentionally funky control schemes like I Am Bread, and Octodad, with an aesthetic that was more reminiscent of Surgeon Simulator. It was fun, yet challenging, and the jumping with the beat is an interesting concept. The camera could have been executed a bit better, however, and I think that a deeper, more blood-like red for the splatters and the heart itself would have been appreciated. All in all, a good game.

Carrying the Sun by vidim888 2020-04-20T23:40:22Z

It feels a bit weird with there being no sound and all. The game does look very good, however. I don't quite like the respawn mechanic. If one of the core aspects of the game is dying, then when you respawn there should at least be a little bit of light outside of the sun. Despite my gripes, it's a great game and you did very well.

Don“t forget me by Joaquinm 2020-04-21T00:25:21Z

Controls were a bit funky, but easy enough to get used to. It was a very touching story, however, and I'm glad I got to help an old lady fondly recount her recently deceased husband

Core Transport by Clayton Does Things 2020-04-20T23:00:40Z

The game was hard to control and I didn't understand what I was supposed to do.

Corona Bizarre Adventure by Fernando Segovia 2020-04-21T00:14:47Z

Very... interesting experience.

It's Just Human by MomoLala23 2020-04-21T00:11:48Z

The intro is hilarious, and the game is a fantastic litany of multitasking challenges that you'll soon be juggling like a pro. It reminds me of Manual Samuel, if you know what that game is.

The Harmless Prison Escape by MickGerritsen 2020-04-20T23:11:06Z

This is a fantastically clever little puzzler. I like the idea that even the enemies shouldn't die, and the protagonist tries to protect himself as well as everyone else. the level design was also great. I was constantly asking myself how to move guards around to best avoid harm for everyone. Fantastically made game. Fantastic.

Unknown Events by Tomskiev 2020-04-21T00:33:57Z

The sirens get a bit annoying after a while, but other than that it was a great experience and a unique concept for a game.

Life Ablaze by Gerbo 2020-04-19T22:22:12Z

Very difficult, though a great concept of using your projectiles to both give you energy and eliminate your foes. Good job
